- 2023 might just be the year of vertical mounted 64 mm grinders. Now in the final hour of 2023 Barsetto, a new competitor has entered the ring.
Boasting a Long list of features, this grinder wants to contend to be your endgame grinder... does it meet your standards?
This was a non paid review video. I have no intentions of keeping this grinder (either I will ship it back or do a giveaway) and no money was exchanged.

Would you buy this pocket knife of a grinder? Or is this a pass for you?
-also did you enjoy the western motif or nah?
I supposedly have a Timemore 64S shipping to me soon... Given this one is questionable regarding availability also, is there any advantage this has over the Timemore other than the scale built into the cup?
@@thomprd I own both and I love the sculptor. Its a great and simple grinder. I would'nt say a scale and design is worth the extra 600 if you already have it on the way. That being said, there is a new version of this grinder from Gevi that seems to do even more (and I got an email form them saying most the things I don't like on this model, have been now fixed. its also 600 less than this grinder and is practically identical.
LOVE the western motif. I may have watched the opening minute 5 times because of how ridiculous and fun it is :)
That was the best intro to a video about a coffee grinder that I've ever seen - this was incredible and you are amazing.
I sincerely appreciate that!
Im trying to do more fun on the channel🎉
She is still calling us scumbags and we still love her (and will keep doing it).
It's like we are a bunch of pirates and Em is our cap'n.
I’ll never stop. We are the scum club
I cannot stand or ovation hard enough for that intro. PERFECTION.
So if you take all of its best features and add stepless adjustment where each indicated notch is 5μ (.5mm thread pitch), clear grind speed indicator, metal grind adjustment dial, nicer coated grind speed adjustment knob, faster response scale with a magnetically detachable dosing cup, and no annoying beep when it shuts off, you get the upcoming Gevi Grindmaster. I've been testing and providing feedback on it and it's shipping next month. Look for that review soon. And will be comparing it to the Zerno Z1 and Lagom P64 hopefully soon as well.
Your videos are awesome! I've learned a lot from your channel and really appreciate the high quality content :)
Thank you! More EDU content is coming soon.
The scale cup should have wireless contact charging when its on the base of the grinder
Well, now this was some AMAZING intro💪👏👏👏
Many thanks! 😭🫣
Oh well done! I have always enjoyed your videos. But this was a great review.
Your videos are so well done! You make this coffee niche of ours super interesting. Keep up the hard work. These videos will see millions of views in no time.
This video is amazing 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Ordered a Gevi. Really looking forward to it after seeing this review!🎉
Lol I live the floorbeans beans explanation. I got some of those too! My friend is testing the Gevi Grindmaster which seems like it's basically the same but they updated a few of the negatives you noted. I kinda liked the idea of the magnetic charger port but it would make it more difficult if a cat ruined the cable!
Informative equipment review, cinematography, wearing sunglasses indoors: Is there anything Emilee Bryant cannot do??
Thank you! I am team sunglasses indoors.
And Yes there is! I struggle with posting regularly 😅
@@EmileeBryant The struggle is real lol
Excellent sound design. Your vids are an EXPERIENCE.
Oh thank you!!
Sounds is the story haha
Veeery Nice Emilee, will definitelly be coming back for more videos!
Many thanks! Excited to share more for you!
Great production, Emilee. And I like the idea behind the grinder, they tried to create something valuable.
Thank you! Yes they seemed to make a catch all, even though the catch cup is so so haha
Lol! Love the intro and great review. Btw the Aries would slay the Barsetto in this "easy to clean" competition :)
Loved the vid! Hope to see more creative fun scenes like this in future videos!
Thank you! Luckily I Already have two new scenes finished for upcoming videos! I’ve been working haha.
I do debate if I should post them separately as one is 3 mins alone (it’s an Apollo 13 motif 😂 so it’s slower but worth it)
@@EmileeBryant Either way, it's gonna be amazing content! Curious as to what the Apollo 13 scene is gonna be about...
Floor beans 😂❤
That intro was perfect. I even rewatched it because it was that good 😂
Thank you 🥹 I have much more production in this style coming soon too.
The scale's delayed response to small amounts of additional weight is surprising, I get that from my el cheapo kitchen scale that is +/- 1g accurate, don't expect that from a coffee scale that should be +/- .1 g accurate.
On a more general note, I watch grinder videos more out of curiosity than anything else, I bought fairly recently and not looking to upgrade anytime soon
great video. I think one thing that reviewers often don't mention with grinders that is important for some home users is the noise. It does seem to kind of nicely fit between the Timemore sculptor and the Zerno z1. I think if it was stepless, it would be a 8/10. $1,000 for a stepped grinder is a bit meh.
Great video production as always Emilee!
For 2.5-3x the cost of the 064s it needs more than being easy to open, and a scale integrated into the catch cup.
How does the coffee compare?
I feel exactly the same as you. It’s great but there is a competitive market currently (also there is the other version of this grinder from gevi that’s around $400)
I do briefly mention it in the video but it’s basically the same as the 64 s burrs from timemore.
Thank you Emilee.
Always welcome
I'm not in the market for another grinder, but your intro is so well done I stayed to watch to the end.
Got em😂. I kid. Thank you John for all the support. I’m glad you enjoyed the western vibes. Gear up for my interstellar motif video coming soon.
The effort you put into the opening scene really is amazing. I've tinkered around shooting coverage for a few videos, and the ratio of hours invested for seconds of final output is daunting. I wish I could forward a link to Sergio Leone since he'd surely love to see it, but for some strange reason I don't have any url addresses to the afterlife.
A lot of scales are like that where they have a set 0 point sensitivity basically, it's a thing to prevent the 0 point from floating. It SEEEMS bad if you have to put in 20 beans before it shows 2g (good that it at least seems like it eventually updates and shows the weigh accurately though) however, how often are you really going to be weighing just 10 to 20 floor beans. A more realistic test which I think it would be better at, is let's say you have 17.5g in there and you want to add 0.5g to get it up to 18g I think it would do fine at that test, because I've played with other scales that acted similarly. So if it does THAT fine, it's not really a problem unless you're often weighing 1-2g of things and most people even for small pour overs or single espresso shots are going to be using more coffee than that!
This is the best review ever!
Oh you. 😂😝It’s mid tier at best. But also you, YOU are going to love the direction I’m leaning the channel soon (not reviews)
@@EmileeBryant can't wait ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Sometimes I worry about you 😂😂. But seriously the most creatively entertaining and hilarious review I have seen. I now understand everything about this grinder. A very comprehensive review from beginning to end. And cinematic..yes, loved the western motif. Nice microphones too👍
Sincerely appreciate the kind words! Glad you enjoyed but also I’m worried too 😰
Do you mean the videos audio btw? (I moved the mic closer lol)
@@EmileeBryant Sorry, I tried to use less words but left my note unclear. The audio was excellent. Voice was great as usual, but I especially loved the tapping sounds when you highlighted the different parts. Could even hear the air blower. Great production.
Great intro ! 😅
When I saw those contacts on the back of the scale I was sure it would charge via the grinder when it's resting under the chute.
It’s definitely a strange choice … I’d say ditch the scale altogether or like you said make it chargeable while in position.
Any floor bean roaster recs?
As usual, Emilee, your CAFFEINATED CREATIVITY is unsurpassed and unmatched!!
What do you think of the MANUAL COFFEE GRINDER - 1ZPRESSO J- MAX? 😊
P S. The above GRINDER is about $800 OVERPRICED!😅
I’ll do my best! I am a bit of a chaotic creator 😂 I can’t stick to a schedule and get inspired haha
James Hoffmann, watch out.
Great video - insane production quality at the start - loved it :D
But nope: That grinder is too expensive for what it does with its "characterflaws"
Thank you! And yes price is… not cheap haha
Can we buy it in Canada? Thanks
Is that grinder made by the same company as the Gevi Grindmaster?? They almost look identical.
that intro was worth every second it took you for sure.
i think the grinder is super clean and a great size.
i learned a bit about making scales act how you like them with attaching one to gaggiuino software.
the scale shouldn't be sold with this grinder because it will just make people sad. but i imagine that they have spent too much on making the built in scale thing happen to let it go now lol
fab vid, actually like this grinder, but it is way overpriced imo, not that that's any different than most of them except seemingly Eureka stuff.
On point. I also think it’s a cool concept but will make the user less excited once they… actually use it.
Always appreciate the love and support friend!
Funny enough the intro took about 2.5 hours from original concept in my head to shooting and editing. I was on some superhuman task wave when I made it. It’s the main video that took me close to 15 hours of edit time. The original shoot was over an hour long 😅😭 I’m
A word salad pro
you're awesome! that intro hit your brain like when a good song just happens out of nowhere :)
it's actually an unreal feeling when something like that hits you and you're able to make the idea real with the massive skills hiding within. parenting solo full time has buried those creative nukes inside of me with dishes and dirty laundry lmfao
i actually almost forgot that they existed until feasting on your word salad right now.
massive love from canada as always :)
Awesome intro! Have the burrs stalled at any rpm?
Thank you! It has never stalled on me and has pretty powerful torque!
I hear and see you so pretty love the eyes and how you loved the grinder.
It's a stepped grinder, you can't rate it 7.5, 8.2, 6.4 out of 10. Only whole numbers.
I really love this. New rule to the channel added ✅
Hey I'll stop it once you stop it
PS love the western motif
I'm brown and I follow white
My best friend is white
A blowing out tool? Like a simple douche bulb perhaps?
Haha yes that could work!
