Well that was incredibly sweet!! Thank you so much! I’m honored to be on that list with other amazing artists. Can’t wait to see your book when it comes out, very exciting! ❤️❤️
@@EmmaLefebvre Can’t wait for your book to come out! Love your videos Emma! @Jenna Rainey Your books seem very helpful and you are an incredible artist.
I have this book, it's amazing. I am on page 53 and the technique for paint and making stems and leaves is amazing in itself, also learning about a lot more. I was pretty much lost till I got this book.
Emma, this video says SO MUCH about you! Listening to you share what helped you as an artist, and promoting other artist's books and channels shows the kind of person you are, kind, confident, and a person that enjoys seeing others succeed. Thank you for this tutorial.
Thank you for sharing your top10 books. They are very interesting and I agree, I loved painting with the Jenna Rainey Book. Next up is the Emma Block book. The watercolor in the Jungle looks very interesting too 😊
The first person I found on RUclips on watercolour painting was Jenna. And I found you.😀 I have since sold my watercolor paintings in my home province of Ontario and then as far south as Texas. I also have learned to paint in acrylic and have sold a painting to somebody in British Columbia, Canada. By the way, I started painting for the first time in the spring of 2021. Thanks Emma for some book recommendations. Always looking to learn more.🌺
I was introduced to watercolor through Sarah Simon's (The Mint Gardener) watercolor class in Seattle. Her class is amazing and I absolutely love her book!
So I am watching this video on my iPad, and the bokeh snowdrop painting video on my computer! Plus I am really looking forward to your book coming out Emma, I’m sure it will be the best 😁
Emma, I just started doing watercolors about 4 months ago. I have been following you on YT and have learned a lot and really enjoy your instruction on painting. I picked up a book by Dana Fox , In the Forest and am really enjoying it ! Thank you your suggestions. Am looking forward to watching and painting with you on all your videos. I still need a lot of practice but am having so much fun 😊
When a preview of this video came I was pretty sure that first book you recommended was yours) definitely your style of painting. Thank you for sharing ❤️
I can't wait for your book to come out! I have and love Jenna's book too. One of my favorite books is the New Botanical Painting book by Harriet De Winton. Her paintings are so amazing to me. How she paints floral with such precision is a skill I aspire to......
Thanks so much for the video! It’s fun to see different watercolor styles. I have recently gotten “Hello Watercolor!” by Jeannie Dickson and it’s so so helpful and has a chart of letters in calligraphy that I love. I definitely recommend it.
OMG I just came back from a trip to Michael’s … 4 of the books you listed I picked up and looked at and added to my list to buy. Two of the books your listed by Jenna Rainey I have… go to know I’m on the right track
Hello dear Emma! I already have 4 of the books. They are indeed very beautiful and instructive! Your other suggestions will also be on my wish list😀 I can't wait for your book to come out! Good luck, no pressure, and enjoy the writing! A big hug! Lieve. 🌿😘❤🍀🍀🍀
Hi Emma. Thank you so much for theses book ideas. I’ll be heading to the book store very soon to check these wonderful books out. My son gave me a book called water colour workshop and it’s a very good book to for beginners. She made the book book of water colour paper so that I can paint all the projects in the book.
I have a few of these books but The Joy of Watercolor is the one I love the most and that I have spent the most time with. Now I have to go shopping for some of the ones you've shown here that I don't have :)
Thank you for your recommendations. I already have purchased a couple of books you've recommended in the past, now I've found a couple more that I absolutely need!
Thank you so much for this!! I love Jenna Rainey, too! She was the first person I found on RUclips for watercolor tuts last year. I follow three of you regularly. So, you, Jenna, and Shayda Cambell. I've just started following Harriet de Winton (de Winton Paper Co.). After being a little more comfortable doing the loose watercolor style, I started following her learning more detail work. You guys are ALL amazing!! Right now I'm learning to trust my own instincts and eventually it will create my own style of work!. Thank you so much!!
Thank you so much for these information! I will definitely look into those books and buy some. You are a great teacher! I have learned so much from you, and will do more
Thanks for your informative book recomendations. I love to check out art books I hear about online from my local library first, then make purchasing decisions from my personal viewing. The last two in particular piqued my interest.
I actually have a few of these books, and I like them. One or two of them I believe were from you suggestion. I would also recommend Harriet de Winton to the list. She's got a couple of great books out. Of course of have three of yours that you sell on Etsy. Thanks for sharing.
You should look up the new book by Sarah Simon If you like Dana Fox book and how you paint in it that is how Sarah’s new book is. And the one downfall to me about Dana book is the paper and Sarah’s book the paper in there can take a lot of water and strokes. It is really a fun book!
Great book ideas Emma! I have Jenna Rainey’s and the small flower book but want to head to indigo to see if I can get the jungle book and one of the others. ( forget the name but I’ll rewatch the video! Thanks for doing that! So helpful !👍
Thank you for sharing Emma, that was nice. I was actually looking for some great books I’m not really familiar with watercolors but I’ve always wanted to try . 🥰🙏🏻
WHY can't you read the color palette??😢 I am not good at mixing colors and that would help me. I'm talking about thenback of the last book. THANK you for this video of interesting tutorial books
Those are some very cool books. I actually have 4 of them already and I'll be adding the rest. My poor bookshelves are already groaning at the thought.
Thank you for the information on these books it was so helpful. In your opinion when I create art from these books or from tutorials on RUclips, can I sell them as my own? Or is that a disservice to the artist? I need to understand this because I would never want to do anything dishonoring to artists that are teaching me.
I was looking at the reviews for the Watercolor in the Jungle book. There were comments about the paper quality in the book not being good, I was wondering if you found that to be true since you did a couple of the paintings in it that you showed us? Myself I would copy the image onto other paper rather that paint in the book (in cause I messed it up) but I was wondering what your experience was? Thank you for the great video, I will be checking out several of the books.
Well that was incredibly sweet!! Thank you so much! I’m honored to be on that list with other amazing artists. Can’t wait to see your book when it comes out, very exciting! ❤️❤️
Thanks Jenna! You’ve been an inspiration of mine from the start!
I have those books already so this is great thanks

I recently got the book “the joy of watercolour” as a gift and I will definitely recommend it for beginners and professional

I love Jenna Rainey's books! I've been following through her projects. Now I'm waiting for your book as well.
Thank you, I am such a book lover.
Thanks for these book recommandations! For who likes loose and dynamic watercolour I can recommend the books of Jean Haines.
I bought Dana’s two books last year based on your recommendation. It was really fun and to learn shading and painting forms.
Thanks for your informative book recomendations. I love to check out art books I hear about online from my local library first, then make purchasing decisions from my personal viewing. The last two in particular piqued my interest.
Thank you very much for this, Emma! As a beginner, this is going to help me A LOT! Also, I am learning A LOT from you too, and you do amazing work

Those are some very cool books. I actually have 4 of them already and I'll be adding the rest. My poor bookshelves are already groaning at the thought.
I highly recommend Birgit O'Connor's books and videos - she is amazing! She does very large scale flowers among other subjects.

Or is that a disservice to the artist? I need to understand this because I would never want to do anything dishonoring to artists that are teaching me.
Wow, your drawing in that book is almost identical- just enlarged 😱🏅

I already added Jenna's book to my cart (for my bday gift, my bdsy is coming up XD). Do you have any good suggestions for gouache books?
Look for "Creative Gouache" by Ruth Winslow and "Painting Nature with Clare" by Clare Therese Gray
Awesome!🧡🧡
Thank you for such an informative video. Do you have any suggestions for beginner watercolor for kids?
Hmmm I haven’t come across one yet

Emma, why haven't you got a book of your own?
@roden70 She does! 😊 I believe that it’s on Amazon, and can be preordered. I think it comes out in October. Very Exciting!
Feminism is very present on this video, no one can deny it
Is Anna Mason, not interesting, than these "craps" you've got???!
