Vietnamese miracle. It even works without fuel. The engine shutdown switch is not connected either.

Great restoration with limited resources. Attention to detail by pre oiling most everything within the engine is great but use some wood blocks on the bearings the next time you need to set them in.
This is the exact same gen set that Lidl has sold in the EU market, didn't realize it had an AVR module in it.

Not at all keen on setting the bearings that way, nor the complete absence of a torque wrench!
Adjusting the tappets would be preferable, as would setting the bearings on the outer raceway, preferably with something softer than steel.
Nice to see the youngster participating with his father to learn skills.
The generator appreciated some care and attention after being abandoned, and I was surprised that all the fasteners unscrewed intact!
All in all a nice restoration, with some finesse it would have been great. Subscribed.

Considering where you found it I was expecting a baby cobra to come out. Since you stage so many finds it’s time you got yourself a workbench and torque wrench.

Like everything from that part of the world, cosmetics seem to overshadow the real task, and that is the inner workings and working to tolerances that are more important. The only good part of the presentation is the lack of the blurb (in english) of how good and knowledgeable and the all important the begging to "subscribe" which consumes 50 percent of the whole thing.

the spray paint not resist the gasolin ..i suggest useing sandblaster to clean aluminum parts ..and you must replace all gaskets and not use hammer to assemble the stator base because the camshaft may be break it ..

I take my hat off to the patience and memory of this guy, I would have just left the thing to rot and buy a new genny, I couldn't remember where all the bits went.
Not keen on the method of fitting that bearing, should be fitted using force on the outer rim not inner.

Think of all the excuses we make here in America when it comes to not having the right tools or equipment. This dude went at it with what he had available and he got that thing running again. Even in his country where most folks would not even think about saving that thing. When you have nothing I guess you gotta make do. These videos inspire not to be such a woose and just go for it. We have everything and more in this country to do the job. Now back to procrastinating on fixing my projects outside. Jaaa
