Nice job. I own a pair of 1962 Willys one is a pickup the other is a Utility Wagon. They were both owned by the same owner since new. The gentleman owned a gas station and the pickup was his toll truck the wagon his daily driven. Pickup has an original 28,000 miles the wagon has 46,000 miles - both are all original with the super hurricane 226 cubic engines everything is original to them. He had cancer so he put both inside his station on the lifts but all fluid’s were drained - air out of the original tires- he had his mechanic rub oil over the paint and spray oils all over and under the chassis. Both sat inside the station like this until I purchased the property ten years ago where they still sit today. I will be bringing them out of storage in a month or two when I will clean them up and prepare them for driving. I aired up a couple tires to see what shape there in no cracks weather checking . The gentleman did all of this because he found out he had terminal cancer even spray painted the station windows so no one could see inside. They are in as close to new condition as they could be and you can tell he loved them equally. I purchased the property at an estate auction with the station buildings not knowing what if anything was inside. I will be driving and using them on or off road but carefully. I am 78 now and I respect older vehicles as I have and had many in my collection of 9 GTO’s each with less then 10,000 miles on them. I was a chassis and engine engineer for Pontiac Motors for 38 years. My collection of GTO’s were ones that I helped design ranging from 1966-1970 all including the Ram Air 4 HO engines with both standard transmissions and auto’s. Three of which are convertibles that are all black my others are red in color with matching interiors. I love stock vehicles but I also love Willy’s vehicles and I love the job that you did with your pickup I can tell you have many hours into keeping it on the road. I only wish I had found your channel a while ago. Great job I hope you are using your talent in your today’s life. Thanks so much BTW I hope that I made sense I have a brain tumor it effects my thinking
Awesome build i am doing this to my 63 willys, i had been going back and fourth about doing a body swap and you just convinced me, great job your truck looks amazing
This build is great man. I'm in the same situation, just got the same truck from a farmers field. Been sitting for 30 years, glass is broken and its in rough shape but it makes me feel better seeing this.
Sweet build. Good idea with the pipes up the cab to extend the bed onto the wheel centers, didn't quite go far enough though bit damn close too bad maybe push it back and add sheet metal. Idk in person it's probably fine these dang videos always change angles and views. In any case you did a fantastic job and I absolutely love this truck I want one now. When I was really young my father had this same truck sitting on our property he gave it to me but I was only 10 so I never got it 😥
Very Nice!!! Great job!!! It takes a lot of hard work to every project in the eye of the owner to make it perfect!! Respect to that lot of effort put in it and of course kudos on getting to its perfection!!! Very Very Nice, Love it!!!
Mike's Jeeps what modifications did you end up having to do to make it fit under the hood? Move motor back? Rad? I’m currently looking at swapping a 47 onto a dodge 1500.
How often do you do these body swaps? Of you're looking for a Willys pickup, I know where one is in Texas that might be for sale. I pass it every morning on my way to work.
I tried doing this on my 97 v8 Explorer, and the Willys cab is too narrow to fit over the dash, so I have just removed the explorer body, but extracted all the wiring from the explorer, instrument panel, lights, etc.
500 for the chevy but with all the parts I sold from it I actually made money and kept what I needed for free. And 1200 for the willys truck but sold frame and drive train so only about 500.
Where are you in Ohio? I'm south of Dayton and working on a 64 pickup preparing for a chassis swap. Would love to look at your truck and possibly pick your brain.
Hey dude how did you take care of the title nonsense? Did you use the Chevy title? I'm doing a 2A swap onto a Tracker chassis and would love to find out how people do this useless legal junk.
Bet it rides real nice too. I am doing somthing similar and gonna widen each front fender 3 inches an run the step from the front fender to the rear fender like powerwagons. Nice build man.
Those wide axles make the truck look a lot better.
I love it you did a great jab my friend
This is awesome, my Dad and I just started on our 53 Willys again. It’s sitting on a 78 F250 frame and has a 460 out of a bronco.
that must be the most comfortable and stable willys ever with that chevy frame.
super cool build!
Nice ride. Doesn't get much better than that, Perfect fit!

285/75 16 is about 33” tires. That Willys truck is awesome!!
nice job. Leave the body the way it is, super cool.

I have the same stacks on my 47 and you can't tell at all and it needs some TLC
Great creativity, completely awesome brother!
Jeep only channels are the best!!
Good job, I like it . Thanks for sharing your video.

That is one bad ass rig!!
Very cool. I'd widen the wheel wells.
NICE JOB , ANYONE CAN SEE IT WAS A LOT OF WORK /
Nice job on putting the truck together, however I would've pulled the bulbs for the airbag, abs & check engine idiot lights in the dash
UNE merveille d'un autre TEMPS 🤩
Bien HEUREUX le propriétaire qui la possède.......
Need that other pipes hooked up. Looks and sounds good
NICE BUILD
Is this something an average master mechanic like me could do?
Nice job
Wow nice truck
Great Build
Add some segmented diamond. Plate 4. The dash and led underdash lights
Looks awesome! Great job man
Thanks

@@danhoy8356 nothing other than take the fan off engine and cut the fan shroud off grille so there is room for radiator and electric fans.
Nice!!!
dan hoy let me know how the swap goes. I am looking at dodges and chevys for a swap as well for my 48/49
Une merveille !!!!!! 🤩🤩🤩
C du grand bonheur pour les yeux......👁👁
Great job.
Nice job ....
i like.
Can you tell me how far the filler neck sticks out of the bed skirt?
Its 5" right now. could shorten to 2"
After doing both this one and the dodge which one fit better and was easier to convert? killer job both of them look awesome.
Thanks. Chevy was easier to do.
@@mikesjeeps2711 Awesome job. Thanks for sharing it.
I am a new subscriber I look forward to seeing more.

very nice
Creo que se puede hacer con dinero y paciencia
Was the chevy a regular cab or a regular cab, also what size bed did it have.
It was a regular cab, short bed.
@@mikesjeeps2711 thanks I am going do this is also with my friend
How is the steering column fitted? Which column was used? Thanks
Stock chevy one was used , with custom bracket up under dash.
Why didn't you grind off the old body mounts, instead of leaving the remnants on the frame? Attention to detail makes a world of difference.
Yes that's a great point. They have been since removed and sand down smooth to frame and repainted. So yes looks alot better now. Thanks
Espectacular yo quiero es poner esta camioneta Chevy 1997 en un Chevrolet 1955 o en un Chevrolet 1957 automóviles los dos últimos eso me gustaría
Cool
What way is easier using the fire wall and floor pan of the new car or mounting the entire old cab on the new frame?
On this setup it was easy to just mount hole cab.
I tried doing this on my 97 v8 Explorer, and the Willys cab is too narrow to fit over the dash, so I have just removed the explorer body, but extracted all the wiring from the explorer, instrument panel, lights, etc.
Very well done. You earned my subscription LOL. How much did you pay for the Jeep and chevy?
500 for the chevy but with all the parts I sold from it I actually made money and kept what I needed for free. And 1200 for the willys truck but sold frame and drive train so only about 500.
@@mikesjeeps2711 nice way to come up

@@mikesjeeps2711 ahh, Willys Mecca... 👍👍
What a great Idea, I'll do the same on my 57 Willys, How long did it take you to do all that?
Thanks.... not too long. Maybe about 3 months working on it off and on.
How long did it take you to do this? I would like to do a v8 swap to a Willys truck but I don’t think the original frame can hold that weight
About 3 months
Is it legal to drive?
Yes , drive it everywhere.
nice job . are you going to paint it ?
No painting took 30 years of sitting in a field to get this look
@@mikesjeeps2711 injoy it , you desurve to do as you desirer .again very good job.
Great patina.
