I will be 100% honest that local emergency alert stuff actually is extremely useful. I drive a semi truck for a living and there’s nothing worse than getting an emergency alert. That’s 300 miles away on the opposite side of the state because they have you looking for something that doesn’t existmaking it less effective

I’m sure the custom vibration was there earlier. I was using it when I was adding in different custom tones.

I would love to be able to add an automation shortcut that adds the sender to spam lists and deletes the message based on a certain word in incoming SMS messages. or blocking numbers based on certain asterix characters. It's the 17th version and these features are still missing.
Changing the default notification sound is truly major. I won’t be able to sleep tonight.

Any improvements to the new accessibility feature in iOS 17 where a user can turn on a super simple interface? Eg support for more apps?
Individual developers need to create an additional UI for Assistive Access and it turns out it’s pretty easy. What’s tough is simplifying an app in a way that doesn’t compromise its identity
@@glootfrootswoot I was thinking more about apps from Apple. From what i saw online about this feature it seemed like only 3 or 4 of Apple's apps supported it.

Well i would like to have smooth experience, because after updating to 17 it is first time my phone sometimes lags/bugs with animations.
Which iPhone do you have? Cause it’s normal that some previous versions lagged after updating the iOS 17. Due to it was pretty much made for the 15.

I had the 12 pro max and you’ll see a difference if you get the 15 pro max but I would recommend waiting until the 16 or 17. I love my 15 pro max but I wish I waited until the iPhone 20 to have a lot more features. I’m holding onto this phone for a good 10 years

1:40 why isnt siri doing this in the first place?! Like the dynamic island is a waaay better place for siri to expand/rest in, than the bottom of the screen and suspending any other visual element while it uses the notch to show other info

I’m glad that the phrase prediction will be able to be turned off. It’s been more of a nuisance than a help for me
Most of these updates are anticlimactic and of little use. They mean nothing to me. When Apple iPhones let you do split screens, multiple tasking, and they bring back the landscape mode when you flip the phone to a landscape orientation, then I'll be more excited.
On the other hand, many of us don’t want the things you mentioned, as we’re more than happy with what we know we’re getting 🤷

lol everything you mentioned I never even used when I was on android. Apple adding those features would mean absolutely nothing to me. these updates that we are getting at least add more pizazz to the user interface more so than whatever you mentioned. But to each their own 🤷♂️

Just now getting more weather and clock widgets? Man, I can't stand how delayed Apple is these days. I mean, how much does it take to just make a simple and minimalistic iPhone widget? Surely it can't take 15+ years just to get something that simple. Same thing goes with the iPad not having a calculator app. Like, this is basic stuff. Some people just want an iPhone or iPad with basic applications. Surely, it can't be that hard... (^_^) Glad it is here but I think that update was well overdue. They probably just waited to make these widgets so they could add them when they didn't have any worthwhile update ideas. Maybe in 2030 we will finally have a calculator on an iPad. 😬😳Pathetic.
Really wish Apple would let us turn off that stupid blur shit on the Lock Screen literally no one asked for that shit I hate it so much and wish they would turn it off I just want my full background without the fuckin blur 🙄
