There is a dead spot where the thicker part of the bulb is and I wondering should that be up or down, you are the only one that explains that, thanks a million problem solved! Liked and subscribed.
Dan! Loved the advice you put out. Got both my headlights and fog lights in the mail yesterday! Ordered them after watching your channel. Lasfit said they don't ship to Canada so I wasn't able to use your reference code. Lucky for me amazon Canada had them for about the same $. Put em in, simple to do for a chunky 69 yr old! Went for a drive in the country darkness last night and WOW!! Thanks again😁
Thank you for this video it helped me replace my own bulbs. But now I need to fix the aiming of my headlights they're too low. How do I raise the beam? I have a 2015 Durango.
No problem and thanks for helping support the channel! I also made a video of the foglight installation if you haven't seen it. It's a much faster install
Well got them in. But I noticed the passenger side hotspot is up a tad higher and if you walk 50’ or so and crouch down it shines through the projector super bright while drivers side is not as bright. Went up against a wall about 10’ and noticed Passenger side hot spot is a bit higher than drivers?? Any ideas?? Thanks. I’m wondering if it’s a factory projector thing to not blind on coming?
Thanks for the info! I’m Definitely going to do this conversion now that I see how simple it is. The stock lighting is terrible. Are the fog lights as easy to do? One other question… do you reinstall the dust cover? I’ve seen some people say that it will overheat the bulb, even with the bulb fan. I know it’s been a while since you did this installation so you would be a good judge at this stage. Thanks again!
Installed the headlights on my 2018 Durango. Fit perfectly. Thanks for the tip on how to line them up (wire on top) is the best way. Thanks again. What’s next on your Durango?
Hi Dan, thank you for great demonstration. However, I am confused. I have 2015 Durango and LasFit just sent me LAplus9012-N whereas you are installing LAPlus 9005-N. Which one is correct? Thank you for your response.
Great video, I ordered a pair of lasfit 9005 for my 2019 Durango. For some reason they don't seem to fit tightly into the headlight assembly. This is isn't my first time changing light bulbs on a car. led or halogens. First time on the Durango though. So the issue is the bulb tends to be loose and shaky, I keep putting back the original halogen bulb to see if I was just doing something wrong, but after 1.5hrs I gave up. Has anyone experience this? looking for some pointers.
Ran into this last night because the base with the prongs are on a O ring and when you try to turn to lock in the light spins instead of the base being attached to the bulb. I to gave up and gonna return and find a different brand
About to purchase these. Now I do have a question. The strip of light that is under the light you just install… mines went out, how can I replace them?
@@DanVilla7 They are HID stock but they are not that bright. They have a square back I want LEDS. Saw your other video and was thinking of getting the fog lights instead and adding those on. I ordered them and hope they fit.
Do these Durango's headlight have any vent? Led produces lots of heat, I'm afraid with Dust cap and no vent will burn headlight housing bcz of extensive heat/Temperature.
All headlight housings have a built in vent tube. These have fans on them as shown in the video. No issues with them almost a year since I installed them
It was a while ago but I don't recall the drivers side being much different from the passenger side. Possibly the bulb isn't all the way locked in place?
@@DanVilla7 I just rewatched it. Not driver side (the driver) on the light itself. I purchased the sv.4 led bulbs and they have a large driver that I cannot fit inside the dust cover. Thanks for the reply and great content.
Wow what great review and these lights are just what I need my stock just suck can’t see anything I was checking the site kinda confused but will this work for my 2017 Dodge Durango GT or can you stear me to what will work once again great install review Thanks
Thank you. The links are always in the description of my videos. Either way here are the links for both the headlights and switchback fogs. If you could use those it would be greatly appreciated 9005 headlight bulbs for Durango: lddy.no/tekd Durango H11 switchback Fog lights: lddy.no/teig

@@davebighos8370 do you have the bulbs set vertically the way I showed in the video? That will play a huge role in the beam pattern.
@@DanVilla7 yes. The wires are upward just like your vid.
@@davebighos8370 Hrmmm.... could it be that the locking part isn't flush and causing the bulb to have a slight angle?

@@DanVilla7 thanks for the quick response!
Hi. Gratulationa for the video. I have a question: the correct position of the led, is turn to high or to down? Thanks.
I'm not exactly sure what you are referring to but everything about bulb position is in the video.

@@DanVilla7 oh ok. I’ll let u know how the trim comes out. Trying the stuff you recommend this weekend.
Hey man so I have projector headlamps and I can’t tell if they are correct alignment, how do I put them in the correct position??
Did you connect the to a D3S plug connection

The one you have is correct for your year. The 2020 which is mine is a different size than your 2015.
Thank u very much for the prompt response.

Are they really supposed to go with the wire on up position?
About to purchase these. Now I do have a question. The strip of light that is under the light you just install… mines went out, how can I replace them?
Not sure that can be fixed may need a new headlight assembly
Do I need a decoder for these led headlights? I know some Durango the LED’s flicker.
No extra parts necessary, no error codes or warning lights. There's a link in the description for them

hello I have 2018 dodge durango, can i use the 100 w 10000Lm or 72W 8000lm bulbs?
Yes as long and they bulb size is the same

Did you re-install the dust covers after replacing the bulbs?
Yes, was in the video

Did you have any issues with flickering?
Nope these function flawlessly, no flickering or bulb out warnings. I'm extremely happy with these and the switch back foglights I did.
@@DanVilla7 thank you!
@@laneboone8739 no problem! There's a link in the description of the video if you decide to order them.
@@DanVilla7 I saw these on Amazon a while back but they said for high beam
It does both functions, the actual projector moves to create a low and highbeam pattern.
Have you had any issues with hyper blink?
Haven't had a single issue
Do you just need one bulb for both low and high beams? Or do you need to buy 2?
Just 1 set. The bulb is the same, the projector moves making the low beam a high beam. Here's the link: lddy.no/tekd

Do the turn off after 20min? And turn back on after??? How can I fix
Not at all. Contact the company directly

Nice does this fit for a 2020 Durango
Yep mine is a 2020

Well that sucks because the 2017 Durango rt does not have the same connector for head lights. It’s like a USB port
But wouldn't the R/T already have HID's?
The housing is too loose so trying to instal it just pops off. I had to return these to find much better units
Did you add the oem gasket like I mentioned in the video?
