  • In todays how to draw video we will be covering how to draw and paint a traditional piece of tattoo flash. The subject matter I chose is a Rose, a bold and time tested traditional design. In this video I’ll be going through the process of sketching, shading and choosing colours to paint the design, along with this I will cover how to do a simple but stunning background. Once again this will show you have to start with nothing and have a more or less complete piece of art ready for portfolio, print or sale.

      Yeah that border is tight. Would that work on a tattoo as a border to end with?

    • @DaggetDesigns
      @DaggetDesigns  3 года назад +1

      I’d personally leave the border out if i was doing it as a tattoo, the rose itself however would look fine :)

      👍👍👍check! Thanks I'm gonna tattoo my son sunday gonna start a huge 8 headed dragon back piece that comes around to the front. I've always love this traditional style and the Japanese style dragons only a couple more days left and its game time. Say any tips you think of? Ok here should I free draw dragons with like magic markers I've seen some pros do that. I'm more of a complex stencil one dragon at a time, hey let's keep it short and sweet type guy. But I've seen the pros draw and line whole thing. .🤔

      How should strategically plan a big back dragon? What kind of protocol works for you? How much is planned ahead? I feel like whole piece planning and placement is important. But I'm planning only to to one plage stencil at a time and then later do another stencil next to 1st. I want it to flow. Sorry I'm on vacation this week🤣🤣

    Wow that is absolutely magical brother. Question; I thought the thorns and the middle of leaves were going to be more yellowish. Would it have thrown the picture off in some ways by doing that? Or am I overthinking this color business?

      Thanks heaps my friend 😊 🤙🏼 no not at all, sometimes I will do them yellow, just playing with more muted tones in some aspects, it helps build contrast and for me give it a nicer look

      Ok cool deal. With traditional I worry a lot about making mistakes dealing with color choice. I keep hearing ther is rules and stuffs and 1😱
