Density texture in surface scattering does not work. I've tried jpg, tiff, psd, exr as black and white textures. None of them work.

My roads (and corresponding curves) gently slope up and down, depending on the terrain beneath. However, the vehicles models are not aligning with the roads' normal directions. They're aligned in terms of the road / curve pathway directions, but not laterally, if that makes sense. Various vehicles are tilted into the road. The centers of the cars and trucks are at their bottoms.

Unfortunately, the latest version of V-Ray for Maya is not production proof. Serious bugs and issues prevent the plugin to be used in a production environment.
Hopefully the next update will be better.

I have already opened a thread in the official forum.
Basically, vray 6 update 1 for Maya has issues rendering animations, both locally and via distributed rendering. It leaves empty buckets on random multiple frames.
Also, the standalone version that comes with the installer is incompatible with the client from the same release, which makes it pretty much unusable.
This has been verified and they are looking for a fix.
