You're the man Lou!
thank you for sharing this with us Lou! Its nice to see the old stuff. I love the direction the additive free game is going but we all need to respect how we got here. Love your content buddy! salud!!
Thank you Dano
these bottles gave me a blast of nostalgia, seeing my grandpa have these around his house back in the day. Thank you for sharing
Excellent. Hope to find one some day ! Glad you clarified that the diffuser is NOT used in their Herradura line . Verified it first hand when I did my big tequilas distillery tours a few years back . Their estate , tours, hacienda, train experience is world class .
Nice! I can’t believe that it was this good and so accessible in Mexico back then. And now so hard to find a good tequila in the shelf of any normal super market in Mexico.
Nice one, Lou! 😎🥃
Fantastic stuff. Got me hooked in 1999 back when I thought tequila tasted like lighter fluid. Was I wrong. After trying over 2,000 different tequilas I would still put it in my top 10! Thanks Lou
I couldn't agree more buddy
I love herradura and i love this video
Thank you Patrick
Easily my top 3 Reposados of all time.
Old school Herradura, Patron, etc - it's unfortunate when brands produce a quality product and then stray away from their quality promise in pursuit of greater market share. Since you have explored the tequila world for so long, which brands have disappointed you the most over the years? The once go-to brands that no longer produce the delicious juice you try to share with the new wave of tequila drinkers? Thanks for sharing.
Hey pal. Happy New Year. As you mentioned Herradura is one of the main brands that falls into that category. I suppose Patron, if you go way back when it was originally made by Siete Leguas. Then I would have to say other brands that have gone downhill for one reason or another are Don Julio, Chinaco, Casa Noble, 1921, Milagro, Correalejo, Cabo Wabo, Espolon, Partida, Familia Camarena, Cazadores, Centinela, Pura Sangre, Oro Azul, Aha Yeto, 4 Copas, Frida Kahlo, Chamucos, Corrazon, Corrido, on and on
@@longislandloutequila7208 Safe and Happy Holidays to the Lou Agave famiglia.
Beautiful color on that one. Just to think many will manipulate their products nowadays to get that richness of hue.
i think your videos are great. thank you for your passion. what do you think this bottle is worth today?
The 750 size... maybe $200-275 or more
Wooowwwww u have gold in this bottle 😩😩😩😩 Do you know where I can get one of these bottles?
Yes thank you. I wish I knew, other than trying to get lucky on tequila raffles or auctions
These bottles are not sold in the USA, Antiguo Herradura is imported from Mexico
What’s the difference between the blanco and the suave blanco?
Suave means smooth and I think the difference was this was rested on wood to make it softer and easier to drink. I remember comparing it to the regular in the older versions and even though it was delicious timer it had more apple and pear fruit in it, and it wasn't so much to my liking as the straight up Blanco bottled out of the still
Thank you, that’s good to know , I hope to find some of these bottles someday. Drink it up can’t take it with you!
NOTE- The 2 Blancos in the video on the table were high-proof old school Herradura's... NOT 40 proof
Facebook
40 proof? I think you meant 80 proof.
Yes I did, thanks
Lou, where do you find these raffles?
Facebook groups like TBC and Tequila Nation
Hey Long Island Lou. It’s Pronounced eh-rrah-doo-rah.
Ha..yeah, wish my Spanish was better
