I just got back from a day trip to Keystone. I'm pretty impressed. I mainly worked with my 9-year old son on Kokomo (magic carpet) but then took some time to lap Endeavor about 4-5 times before the lifts shut down - mainly just warming up and getting my ski legs back again. Really, it was a test run to see how well our equipment worked and how viable getting to ski resorts from Colorado Springs was going to be (not bad - 2.5 hours each way). Keystone was pretty busy - I think the word is out about having the best early season runs. River Run parking was basically full (we arrived at 10:30 am) - only allowing families, many had to park in Powerline. LOL - I suppose you can't just keep a good thing to yourself, can you? But, seriously, based on some of the advice from the livestreams and these videos, we opted for Keystone instead of Breck this weekend (Epic Local pass holders). I just noticed Breck opened up more beginner stuff with Rips Ride open now - so perhaps next weekend might give Breck a try.
What you explaining is exactly how it’s been mid week too. One thing I think is causing the extra crowds this season is that we are having a slower start too. Last year a many more ski resorts were open at this time. Keystone also had more runs open. So I think it’s a normal amount of people skiing at this time of the year just less places for them to spread out.
This Summer I learned the Nose Grab, but the one you did in this vid, grabbing the nose of the snowboard with your back hand looked more stylish. New trick to learn this winter Thanks !
That grab is called Crail grab. Definitely more style, a little harder! Start with grabbing nose and than bring the back hand upfront too. So do a double nose grab first and than just go for it with the back hand
Kinda curious man do you guys have any runs that aren’t super open with what seems like all the people are on it? I know it’s early season but I live in Sun Peaks, BC Canada and we have a huge variety when it comes to runs. Just curious on why your laps always look the same🤔
Let’s gooo. Loving the vids, getting hyped for the season start in Montana. Ordered my first new board, Salomon Danchaul. Stoked for some north face shenanigans.
