Nice design Kanajashi. I had a RUclips streamer friend that tried to build a space elevator to an asteroid, but it failed as he didn't use the piston and connector method. He tried to use landing gear and pistons to inch it's way up the supports. It also used wheels and thrusters to give it power to move up the supports too. Yours is better. His alignment was off too, so that made it more difficult to build. He had to get it aligned just right to connect both bodies.
I was wondering why you didn't feed a conveyor inside one of the rails instead of the exposed central tube? i'm sure there is a completely logical and sound reason, but i haven't spotted it yet.
Very nice project. I tried to recreate this by using 4 projectors and the original blueprint, but I realized something: the wheels at the base of the elevators prevent some of the half blocks from building, which means the 4 columns are precariously supported only by the vertical corridor in the middle. This made sense because of the piston caps behind each of the 1x1 wheel suspensions are the remains of a piston that the original author probably used to push these wheels after the halfblocks had been built, using most likely a merge block. Since I don't care to repeat some involved grid merging I just moved each of the suspensions 1 block back, and will do the same to the half blocks from the cars that are supposed to rest on them.
I managed to hack together a primitive script that brakes the elevator if it's going too fast, to make it work with those mods that remove the speed limit, and it didn't destroy itself when descending. It still has bugs and may mess up if it has to brake too close to the terminal.
Don't forget to disconnect printer and have pillars to connect rails to conveyor like you have at bottom. Also may include Bobs to maintain your rails and platform from any sort of bumps and bruises.
A crawler. 2 projectors showing the tower to be built and a conveyor tube that follows. Some timer blocks to cycle everything and then pause to dock & refill. Welders to build.
you should make a piston dock for it with a connector thne have like 2 of them cargo holds so you can transport massive ammounts of materials to your space base to fuel the kanjashi empire
How are you using your projectors? I wanted to build a "base printer" car that projected the next segment like you are doing with your elevator and all I get is the "Multiple Grids are not supported. Only the largest grid will be used." error when I try to load the blueprint.
Hey Kanajashi why don’t you have the printer merge with the space elevator with a merge block and a connector, and have the projector on the printer so then you can go around the problem of sub-grids not being able to print on host grids? Have a great day, hope you do this and it works. ;)
You should have used the hover engine mod for the elevator instead of wheels, they are more stable and you can go much faster speeds, I build a space elevator with the hover engines and it can go upto 300m/s with no issues

if you knew how to build scripts you could have use just a single extra programmable block to do the loop management instead of messing with multiple timers that need to stop and trigger each other at the right times.
43:43 End of fiddly section... No trial run or test after all that? Seriously?? Horrible. Also the sticky mouth noises are pretty bad in this one. Less sugar drink; more water.
Loving how the space elevator are progressing. Cant wait for you to design the space station on the top of the elevator.
That makes ya wonder how many ships are gonna be parked up there 😂

remember to grind the tiny piston you used to connect it to the centre pillar or it will not retract
Yeah, "cut the umbilical cord," so to speak

Glad you noticed my comment about the elevator 😂 looking forward to seeing how the elevator turns out
Loveing the season so far, your base is getting HUGH
Kanajashi: explains programing of his printer
Me: *confusion intensifies*

I think just for extra safety you should add a few hydrogen boosters and tanks on the bottom so that it won't fall.
I'm still remembering you getting excited about your nanite control factory lol. Oh how far you have come.
Fantastic job
How do you use projectors to build and edit in space engineers
how close are you to to the grids block limit?
May I suggest if the game doesn’t break inviting a handful of people to enter your game and do a tour of the city?
Howdy! Loving the elevator it looks amazing

Can you send your world save? I would like to create something for your city but i need to see where im building it.

na this is a classic, even keen uses it.
DUDE... You didn't even let us watch it run?!!!
Very nice!
Awesome -
It looks scary
Why don't you set the projectors to all have their own same blueprint, instead of only 10, instead of infinity
I haven't found out how to make that work. Whenever I make the recurring projections they always stop after a set amount of times.

Put the projector on the crawler so it resets itself.

What are the specs of your pc
my money's on he forget to cut the platform lose before starting it

Too much math lol
No that simple math compared to what is being processed by quantum physicsians
The Foreigner yes that is very true
