Just to mention, you don't have to put your floor names in [brackets] , but it doesn't hurt anything. That's just a way of annotating arguments for stuff like linux commands when you read the help file. Anyway, I'm glad I could be a part of your epic and amazing builds! Seeing what you've done since "automated mining rig" has been pretty cool. :p Don't let me take up too many episodes tho lol. Keep being awesome! toodles~
@@Brand64730 Hmm, I'll think about it. :3 tbh I'm kind of late to the scene - I've been programming in general for a while, but I only picked up SE scripting around October last year. There are some tutorials out there, but actually the biggest help for me was the Microsoft visual studio object browser. You just load the dlls straight from the game folder into your project and it will tell you all the functions that are available. Of course I also looked at other people's code, like Isy and whip. Anyone who gets the mod has the source code, so you can learn a lot from just looking at how they did it. But knowing how to set up visual studio so you can have auto complete really helps, maybe I'll do one on that. Anything in particular you're trying to do?
What a sweet little script! And I second the suggestion of tutorials. I know I would probably get a lot out of them (probably more than simply back-engineering your scripts - lol). Also, you may be 'late' for consideration as SE old skool - lol - but like many of us, you're just in time for the SE renaissance currently underway ;-)
@@sherman6723 steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2006862490 If you click on "DFPercush's workshop" at the top you can see the other ones I've written as well. you can also get there from the workshop button in the steam client, when you select space engineers in your library. Happy building!
I would love to see for April 1 Endermen in SE. That'd be hilarious - coming into the base just in time to see a large animatronic Enderman turning towards you while holding a block in its hands...
that script is awesome. you can use that as a shuttle system between the light house and main hanger. just make a horizontal elevator that you can drive onto. makes the trip faster and you dont gotta worry about crashing your rover in the tunnel.
So been watching this series for only 1 month. And I've watched all season 1 and 2 up to now and now I'm at a loss of what to watch.... love the content man keep it coming
block vanishing might be from the size limit in the world creation setting. Each block has a certain value which it refunds when removed. you might be near the limit so "non-critical" blocks might get eaten to let you keep building. easiest way to remove that limit is to check your settings before opening the world to see what your build limits are set to. Other wise a very nice build.
everything looks great! Those elevators are even more awesome with the new script. If it were me, I would split up the base into separate grids every time you change levels. So make the hanger, lower tunnel, and lighthouse all separate grids. It would be for sure be a good idea to make each building of the city its own grid. It would probably make it easier to build too
Due to the sensors looping the elevator up and down if you trigger both, haven't you technically made the elevator smaller as you can't use the entire elevator? Seems silly
You mean like see the source code? Or just browse the workshop? Cause you can do that from any web browser, but if you have Steam on PC, when you subscribe to the mod it downloads to (steam folder)\steamapps\workshop\content\244850\(Mod ID)\ ... For in-game script mods, that folder contains two files: a meta file, and Script.cs which contains the code. I don't know of a way to just view the code without getting Steam to download it tho
Can you make an industrial Rover to fit to the size of the tunnels/elevators? Cause it seems like a waste to have such a big tunnel and use a small Rover.
I think you should download a mod that allows for larger hangar doors (or just custom cool looking ones ) to better fit in your massive doorways There is a mod that lets you get airtight hangar doors that extend over 10 blocks

You should totally make some scripting tutorials!

be glad its only random armor blocks disappearing, i had a whole base disappear once... been a few years, but yes, a whole base... gone....
R. I. P ur base
That’s one of the bug fixes that are coming with this new update.
3:35 that guy must’ve gotten a big ego boost from that.

i guess Im pretty off topic but do anybody know of a good site to watch newly released movies online?
@Tadeo Jayden flixportal :D
@Jad Bowen thank you, I signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there =) Appreciate it !
@Tadeo Jayden happy to help :D
From two years into the future, i'm amazed. I had no idea this "Random block in the base disappears" thing was this old a thing. I am just amused.
You should split it into 3 or 4 grids, one for the lighthouse, hanger, city and maybe tunnel to city too.
What's about an underground train ?
I have the same issue with blocks disappearing in my world too. Usually in my shipyard base or my lunar base.
The 35 meter pistons would go deeeep, lol.
more pistons mod
Yay... i stopped watching a documentary to watch this
I have heard of The Great Lord Clang... from Sovietwomble
Same
Then you do not know of our lord when he was less... merciful.
@@FlamingNinja don't take Clang's name in vain, because when he's annoyed...
It's the Langoliers, Kanajashi....

Is there a way to look at the scripts on the steam workshop because there are a few I would like to use on the console version when that goes live

whats is the name of the piston mod if you don't mind

There will be much larger rovers in the future!
are you planning on making a train system to get around

Keen are introducing weather?
So sometimes I've found the Build and repair lose ownership and start taking apart my base
Oh god that would be frightening.
Public test: I have tried the public test and it seems ok. But a lot of the mods do not work.
27:04 did u notice u were in the tunnel?
finally ... been longing for the episode
No more elevater videos plz we have had so many
No one ever did a video on my elevator and it was the best one, lol.
Wow
Last videos are getting a bit boring... 34 minutes and only thing new is elevator config...
Wow
