Nice job Kanajashi on that solar tower. Looks like you could put a cover over it that closes to protect it. You could almost find a script that automatically extends/retracts it when the sun comes up and goes down so you don't need a button to do it.

Since reavers always go for the power supply, this would be a good thing on my base! Have abandoned solar panels, since they always got shot to pieces.
@Kanajashi this is very cool, but you should have a mirrored section underneath connected to pistons parallel to your large grid arm rotors that will then push out to the side and double your surface area.

Could you 'double stack' the outer sections?

They would extend out to the sides with the other pistons and then rotate to match angles.
need a 2 part dome on rotors that open up for the panels !!
You should make a dome roof that opens up like an egg and then have the solar tower pop up so that it looks like a flower blooming. Then instead of the solar tower you would have the solar 'flower'!

When you program it is it possible to set it so that when it reads a certain % input it automatically retracts?
Looks good. Can go even crazier, the gaps between the current panels (unextended) could contain another set (2 blocks below current arms but on same expanding pistons) that moves out perpendicular to current extension.

if you also put solar panels on the bottoms of those beams, you'll only need half the amount of moving parts
You might want to offset the pannels 1 block. So you could add another rotor to the arms and rotete them 90 degrees horizontally on collapsing. By that you could maybe add another row of panels.
@6:13 Maybe you could have used half slanted blocks to make the transition into the solar panel even smoother since it's offset on one side.
You could fit more solar panels by making them extend to left and right from between spacer blocks you have between pistons.
base > arm > hands > fingers :P naming idea if have not already renamed them all:)

Wait 2 rotors can also be connected in vanilla by using merge blocks.

Could you have a second piston in between each section instead of two of the three blocks, then have solar panels on the bottom edge as well?

I just started playing this game. It's great!. I have a question, At 2:03 you enter the rotor blocks menu. How do you show the menu like that?
just a thought.. Timers can cause Klang. they get out of sync too easy. Look as Easy Automation mod. there the script waits for a piston to extend, then does the next action. for example.

u can use smart rotors for solar tower no need to use scripts. :D

With isy solar script I think you an use a power percentage to active a timer to extend it and retract it at set power levels but I can’t remember is it’ll do that, if not, someone please make one haha 😂

I dont understand. Why not edit all the block values for each set at once? Shift click, etc :P Should take 5 min to edit all those rotors if every rotor facing the same direction needs the same values. xD
Sadly they were not all facing the same way so it needed to be done one.....at.....a.....time >_
Yup SE tends to not put things all the same way when you weld them, it's a pain in the butt to have stuff properly aligned

Just my 2 cents worth.... I find it such a shame that you resorted to easy mode in your series. I used to "hang out" waiting for your videos in the previous series, when you made your moon base etc. It was great. This entire series is just predicated on making life as easy as possible for yourself. Get back to actually doing something yourself.... Then you'll get my sub back!!
