I think I’m going to steal this idea. I was trying to find tutorials for the twinkling rolls Royce lights but I think of a mix of that and this would be sick. Thanks for the inspiration 😁😁
That would be awesome! No problem, beat of luck doing that!
You two did a great job ,I’ll be doing this in my van ,glad you watched y’all,
Thanks! Best luck!
I never expected this video to blow up this much, thank you everyone who has checked it out! :) -Can we hit 5k 10k 20k views?- Let's try something crazy, how about 100k!!
*NOTE: Cinematic music removed due to copyright....Sorry
Were can i get that material from
@@SIKF150 I got my from spoonflower.com
You guys did an awesome job I would only recommend using a light iron on interfacing to avoid the rippling.
Jonathan Perez I never thought of that! Great idea, thank you!
Do you think you used too much glue in hindsight? I know you wanted to make sure it stayed but just wondering if you did it again would you have used as much?
There were only a couple spots where it soaked through that I might have used too much but overall I think it was fine!
after seeing this all done on yours it makes me wanna do it to my sti lol. keep up the work man.
Haha thanks man!
You should've done the starlight kit it would've looked like a real galaxy
Next time, I didn't want to weight the race car down haha
feux suede isn't an option what would be the best alternative you think?
Hmmm I am not sure, maybe velvet?
You look like Chapelle when he plays the white anchor man on Chapelle show
I had to Google that, your not wrong, my hair back then was pretty close haha
I see this video is a couple years old, how well did this hold up since you finished it?
It is holding up great, I haven’t had any issues!
you can use an iron for the wrinkles
Looks really legit!! Great job. I'm thinking about doing this for my 2010 impala.
Misael Cartagena Thank you! That would look great and it isn't to big of a job!!
Chase Schrader kimda sucks cuz I have a sunroof so id have to do that too.
Misael Cartagena Ahh that makes sense, definitely adds some difficulty to the process
Definitely doing this to my foz
Sweet, that will look awesome!!
Hey man, found your channel through WSC. Your videos are great! I've been wanting to black out my interior and do the headliner for a while! How's it holding up over the last month?
Thank you! They have been holding up great, only issue is where the seat belt rubs the paint is faded.
Do you have a link for where you purchased the fabric?

@@Chase_Schrader thank you
Looks beast
james davey Thank you!

Thanks man!
Looks sweet my man👍
Thank you!
Wow i love it! You did such a good job 👍
Thanks! I appreciate it!
i actually thought of this before i saw the video
You know what would of made it 1million times better and finishing touch "star light fiber optics" check it out
Haha that's in the second version of this!
Hey just wondering does the 3m spray adhesive have a strong odor?
It’s does initially but if you let it gas before you put it in your car your good!
Chase Schrader I see how many days did it take for the smell to go away?
I had it out for 3 days after but you are probably good with 48 hours
Awesome thanks and you only had to use 1 can
dame man that looks so sick!!! i wish i can do this but my celica is a convertable haha once i get my 350z ill do somthing like this and film it!!
That's would be awesome man! What pattern are you thinking?
i dont know yet!! ive been thinking somthing like the one you did or nature scene lol idk yet
Ah I see, it would look great anyway man!
Sick
Thanks! Its definitely something that turns a lot of heads
How is the fabric holding up without a foam backing, and do you wish you had applied one before attaching the fabric to the headliner?
Erin Blount It is holding up perfectly, the foam back would help it fit the curves better but it isn't to big if an issue!
Thank you! I'm planning on doing this in my '01 Civic, but since I need to deal with a sunroof and both my visors, I'm trying to make sure I know EXACTLY what I'm doing before I jump in.
+Erin Blount Ah nice, it is a little difficult around the tight curves but with patience it works out great! Feel free to dm with any questions!
where u get the fabric?
PlusSIZEDQueenDIVA spoonflower.com
Where did you buy that headliner from? I might have to do it on my car!
Right here: www.spoonflower.com/en/fabric/2961015-carina-nebula-58x85-inches-by-spacefem
How big a of fabric did u get
@@rainierjaygiron4683 54 by 72, that was the only size I could get
Thanks man! This is legit!
@@rainierjaygiron4683 No problem, thanks!
ooo im planning to try this out!, how did you resize it when you order the fabric?
DayDreamin56 I didn't have to resize it, it came the dimensions I needed which is 54 by 72 I believe
Chase Schrader whoah u reply quick!!! i guess ill order it now since that size should be big enough. subbed!
DayDreamin56 make sure it shows a full print and not tiled, thanks!
Ok so I know where u got the fabric from but what kind of material did you get ?
Faux Suede!
Damn dude, that look so good!
Thanks!
Was your friend using his phone to smooth the area?
Haha yeah!
Link to the headliner fabric??
www.spoonflower.com/en/fabric/2961015-carina-nebula-58x85-inches-by-spacefem
What kind of fabric is it
Faux Suede!
Hey man, @chase shrader how wide is the material I can only find it like 42” wide.
Brandon Thacker mine was 54" only some fabric come in that size!
Chase Schrader yeah as you commented back I found out the faux suede comes in a bigger size. Plan to do it to my truck but add a little flavor with leds so at night time it’s like the stars are lit up lol.
Brandon Thacker That's awesome! I'm definitely going to be adding leds in the second version of it!
Yeah man, it’s a no brainer for sure. It’d be only a few headliners out there like it lol.
Love it! How is it holding up Since the video?
Thanks!! It is holding up great, looks as good as it did when it went in!
Where did you get the headliner from?
Derek Anderson I wrapped my old one with new material from spoonflower.com
Very nice 👍
Diego Prado Thank you!
why didnt you do leds or fiber optic to light the stars?
Didn't think of that till later, might have to do it for V2 ;)
when i first saw the thumbnail and clicked i thought for sure you had done real lights. i was kinda disappointed. lol. you look like cool guy to hang out and work on cars. I got few projects of my own. but little time and no time to make videos like i wish i could. keep challenging yourself with cool new ideas.
bria6094 I'm I'm definitely going have to do lights in v2 of the headliner! Thank you!
Is there no foam backing to the fabric ?
Not on this fabric, but the headliner had the OE foam on it
@@Chase_Schrader Hey I noticed that everywhere I look for replacing headliners, people are using foam backed fabric and not like the ones you used (that I also bought). Did you have any issued with simply putting the tapestry on the headliner shell without any kind of foam in between? Id rather not put 2 headliner fabrics just so I could use the galaxy tapestry on my ceiling.
@@Raiden0831 Using foam is the best way too keep wrinkles out but if you are careful you can do it without the foam! It just takes a little more time
@@Chase_Schrader Weird my comment didnt post (I tested it and comments with a link dont post). I think I made a mistake in assuming we have the same material.
Mine was KYKU Galaxy Tapestry Wall Hanging Purple Outer Space Tapestry Cool Trippy Nebula Universe Tapestries for Bedroom Living Room Dorm Decor (W78.7" × H59.1", Purple) from amazon
It stated the material was polyester and not suede (i believe yours was). Im not much of a car guy but would polyster do fine or will it cause issues as a headliner fabric?
I haven’t tried with polyester, I might make pulling it over the corners easier as long as it doesn't spread out too thin. You can try to stretch it as see if it thins out.
I LOVE IT !!
you are very welcome !
Thank you ! With that process I believe I can repair my 2007 Honda headliner.
What type of material is it?
Ontario Servers It is Fuex Sweade
Haha I was planning on doing one of the tapestries that I recently purchased and I have that exact one. I'm a do a gentle forest look though not sure
Oh haha cool! It is definitely an awesome mod that makes your car unique!!
Looks amazing man, where did you get your fabric from
I bought it off of Spoon Flower!
Chase Schrader which size did you order?
Just noticed you made a vid for this hahaha, thinking about trying this!

hahaha wicked squeegie you buddy has there. use what youve got!
Haha exactly, it worked pretty well too
I mean it worked for me, more solid than any credit card i have used ;)
ty!!
Of course!
Dope
How much I paid for this headliner lil bruhh??
I think the fabric was around 80 and the glue was about 50!
🚀
never seen a twelve year old with a comb over.... lol.... all jokes aside, good job.
alan king lol I'm 19 in this video 😂 Cheers
Tanner fox?
budget Tanner Fox
it literally says on the can spray the adhesive on both parts you want to join . come on dude
and you used way to much
If we sprayed it on both parts it would of went through the thin fabric, if it was foam back that would work perfectly. It was my first time doing this and I was following a guide, it is all trial the error....
Crushonius yuuup. Spray both sides and wait until it gets tacky, then stick it together.
If you're worried about bleed through on the fabric, use a LIGHT coat.
Can't tell if Galaxy headliner is kool or not. Too distracted by the hair! It looks like a rug on sideways.
Brian Borell haha it wasn't the best hair day 😂
11:33 Idubbbz???
Haha nope, that would be cool though!!
I got mine from dresslily.com
It scares me to see such young kids behind the wheel.
Haha I was 19 when I made the video, I just look really young ;)
holy eff bro get a haircut
haha its a bit long in this video but not that bad
GIS a look at yours Wayne, should be good eh?
WEAR A MASK WTF!?
Sdddude123 It was pretty well ventilated and in the warning it never said anything about ppe but it definitely would of been a good idea, next time haha
