I typically like to put my catapults as close to the gate as possible. Reason being is if the ram gets too close and I no longer have an angle, you can just pick up and toss those fire bombs of justice down on the ram and soldiers, and it does the same amount of damage. If you have any more balls left over, then you can start tossing them at the soldiers waiting for the ladders for the same effect.
What I like about this playthrough is that Apollo always take defeats on the chin, no save scumming or anything, that's what made Elongus Dongus's rise so terrific. After being beaten, spat on and imprisoned he rose to the stop. Something a 100% win playthrough will never replicate.
Apollo i hope your not ending this series soon ITS SO FUN TO WATCH YOU SLAUGHTER ARMIES AFTER ARMIES also good job on getting 900k subs lets get 1mil now :)
Apollo there is a mod that might interest you, it is called "Diplomacy" Diplomacy's goal is to provide balanced, fun, and creative options for characters to have an impact on the world, including both the player and NPCs. Diplomacy creates more believable world behaviors while giving the player the agency to shape their world. I've found at least it makes the AI a lot more tolerable & realistic. They make proper Peace Packs so War cannot be declared for a while, especially after one has just finished & makes them a bit more intelligent about constantly going to war. Also, my man Advancing his Archers, some good stuff! Though yeah you do have to keep an eye on them because of enemy cav, but it does tend to lower your losses for them as they're that tiny bit smarter during battle lol
Yes another bannerlord video let's gooo!!! Haha chores and homework. It's funny whenI think that I started watching you at 18 and now I'm going on 23 and I have 2 kids and a wife. Moved on from chores and homework a while ago haha. Super excited for the video!
This campaign has been one of insurmountable odds and Apollo has faced them like a champ. How many sieges came down to Biggus all by himself, fighting off an ocean of enemies on the walls? Too many. But let it be known that when he unleashes his fury upon Calradia, their suffering will be deserved.
If you move all the prisoners to the left then back to the right it will automatically take the maximum amount of the best available prisoners. No need to sort manually.
Procrastination is a key value and attribute to being a Proper Gentleman while watching The Pixie, as well as snacks, pepperoni, cheese and orange juice. Good Day to you Pixie, and LONG LIVE ELONGUS DONGUS, He will not be over shadowed by this Biggus Dickus character.
Very nice Episode again! I am no Bannerlord expert, but from how things have been in Mount and Blade Warband, you have been a candidate for settlements rather the more lords had great relationship with you. So I think thats why you struggle so much on getting territory even if you have done all the work. Though I havnt played the game yet I guess you improve relationships to lords also by voting for them on cities. So even if it cost you some influence I could imagine it turn out profitable at the end to invest it on votes to improve relationships. If it increase ur chance on being on the list it should be worth it
Quick pro tip, I'm pretty sure ur wife has insane armor and horse armor, since u just have her sitting in castles as a governor take her armor. You will make much better use of it!
You can use your companions to make more parties and then add them to your army and it cost 0 influence so you can always have a big army! Hope this helps!!
you usually get the city if the lords in your army already have lots of territory. It matters who you call into the army. I usually just have myself + 3 parties of my own clan create an army. Doesn't take influence to maintain and you are pretty much guaranteed to get the city/castle.
Год назад+4
I'm sure you'll be able to recover all the lost territories around your new city, although I think you'll have to conquer that Western Empire city, close to your newly lost castle, because that's where all the attacks come from. Anyway, excellent episode, short but intense.
It would really fun if you'd break in the castle, and help wife escape (it's really funny side quest that we would love to watch) fighting guards and running in tunels. You might want to save/load couple of times until you successfuly break in though )))
Hey Apollo, I love the video. I dont know if you know this, but you can tell companions/wife to rejoin with your army or move to another settlement through the companion screen without having to go get them.
Hey Appolo I hope you see this. If you are defending in a siege you get a huge buff when you use "send troops" option and you will always win even 3 to 1 numbers. I always win with 300 troops against 1000+ enemy troops.
your series on this has motivated me to actually buy the game and give it a go. i used to play Warband back in the day, and its fun to get back into it
Unrelated but i just had my own Winged Hussars moment(long story long) through several wars i had helped the khuzaits take most of sturgia from tyal to balgard (the later representing Vienna) i even pushed my army through to take varcheg, we dispanded because the cohesion was about gone, then a large sturgian army bagan to besiege balgard wich was only recently retaken and had only 70 defenders, not knowing what else to do, I ran to nearby takor castle where i previously stationed one of my personal armies, wich was fairly stacked, to garrison it. i took all the cav and left all infantry, i then turned on sabatons winged hussars and fought like a demon we unalived 340 of them but only wounded like 200 (wich meant less prisoners to sell and nothing else), I had 150 tier 4 to 3 cav from the khuzaits, aserai, some imperial cav, even a couple Sturgian cav took part in the battle, it was exquisite. One of the main reasons I game is to pull off moments like this one, just felt like sharing the glory with you since your always showcasing this kind of stuff, and ive also been watching since ETW was the main content on you account. Have a good one man✌️
Time for another great pixelated appolo video Also if you don’t swear or any stuff like that in the first few minuites it will prevent demonitization a little bit
Nice job man it's really nice to see you you make my day bro also I'm sure without a doubt your old blacksmith that died in battle was smiling at you bro he's watching his boss beat the crap out of other armies. Love ya dude
Jo appollo been watching you for some years now, and this is the first time I post comment I think but Aye man, I don’t think I’m only speaking for myself. But… keep the battle HUD on. So you can see immediately when enemies charge you. I appreciate your effort to keep it as clean as possible. But I’d rather have you timely see an enemy charge and counter it.
i listened to Apollo's intro and now I got no job, no degree and am sending this from McDonald's wifi of which I will be expelled soon. GG better luck next life !
The fight against the Vlandian army next to the city you wanted to free, best battlefield ballet and the art director sits on his horse on hilltop like a real Big D
No idea what is up with Pixelated Apollo's recent 5-6 videos but something is off and I mean in a good way. It's more "Watchable" more fun, I rewind more frequently for funny moments etc, can't explain but there is some quality upgrade for sure. Oh and meme additions are perfect
Apollo, I highly recommend the Diplomacy mod! It handles the issue with factions constantly declaring war on you. It also ads the feature to keep settlements that you conquer. Maybe use it in the next campaign since you play in ironman right now. Highly appreciate your content btw!
I gotta say the troop formation and set ups are not the best way to use your army. The infantry should always be in front of the archers and in shield wall to absorb the arrow fire while the archers support from behind. Keep the cavalry behind the archers to support them incase of enemy cavalry charge. Shield wall is not only good at suppressing arrow fire, but also withstanding cavalry charges. If you consistently march your infantry forward in shield wall the enemy will eventually charge the infantry, leaving themselves out of position and open for attacks from the rear or angles. No need to charge your infantry or archers, only cavalry.
Yeah that flame pot onager may be great and all, but apparently all it does is... injure? For some reason? Also 19:45 Diplomacy Mod. And I've been told it will not break your saves, but backup just in case if you wanna give it a try.
you should give all of your vassals soldiers. you then call them to your army -- it costs no influence -- then you just visit all the recruitment sites and all of your vassals will recruit soldiers as they need. They can also serve as overflow for your own soldiers when you have too many men under your command. You'll soon end up with a 6-800 man army that you can constantly move around the map with and costs you no influence.
I started playing this game because of you the black heart axe is a one shop I got it from the tournaments I love u vids keep it up I’ve been watching for 4 years now today thank u so much for posts and vids
Anyone else feel like Biggus hasn't had a really professional army for a while now? It's all recruits until his army is full and then 50+ losses in their first fight
Northern Empire: "Biggus you are our deadliest lord. None have taken more territory and slain more than you. And so for your efforts of spearheading all our major offenses we grant you a single castle." Biggus: "And what about forgettable horse faced lord #7?" Northern Empire: "3 cities."
I got surgery at 6 AM this morning so I have a lot of time to watch your videos And because I’m the king vlandia and I was wondering what I should change the vlandian name to
Apollo... They are attacking my castle. Let's take a look. Oh I want to join the siege. Oh damn, another army of 600+ shows up. Appolo 2.0, They are attacking my castle, I will call an army so they have time to join me while I make my way over there.
I commend you for how often you sacrifice troops to get into a siege. Defending is fun but loosing 30+ good troops sucks. I’m on my first play through and I’ve been the defender of a siege like 4 times and every time I’ve had to do exactly that. I’ve gotten my troops into a castle before I see a massive enemy army besiege and they just run away like a bunch of bitches.
If ever you get a moment of respite in this campaign, head over to the Khuzait cities and find yourself a Long Glaive. You won't be disappointed.
great idea
My favorite weapon I must say lol
lmfao, what do you mean by this? You know his character's name right lol?
I’m gonna try this! Thanks mate
Agree

That's so true ! I love this bold playstyle
Im so invested in this series wth... so fun to watch

I love how Apollos first city in this play through is the same city as his first play through all those years ago

You can also increase relations by doing the lord needs horses and tax collection quests.
Theoretically speaking you can let the enemy take a city/castle and than retake it so you might have a chance to own it this time
Quick pro tip, I'm pretty sure ur wife has insane armor and horse armor, since u just have her sitting in castles as a governor take her armor. You will make much better use of it!
That was some of the most murderous catapulting I have ever seen. Freaking beautiful
You can use your companions to make more parties and then add them to your army and it cost 0 influence so you can always have a big army! Hope this helps!!

i cant believe this series has been my comfort series when i get home. Past me would be proud
its awsome seeing sturgia kick your butt time and time again since they are usually the punching bag of the campaign
"just relax...the home work will do itself" 🤣🤣 'stay in school' Great video apollo

Apollo uses his cavalry against archers like how denethor used faramir in lotr.
12:56 THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN

The production keeps getting better
That catapult use was flawless!! Great video mate 🎉

They really need to have a mandatory minimum time of peace in this game. Like 100 in game days minimum before war can be redeclared
Yeah that flame pot onager may be great and all, but apparently all it does is... injure? For some reason?

thank you for wising up and aiming artillery at infantry. Infantry rack up far more kills than archers in most battles
Apollo I suggest having an unlimited wage since you are near the border and the empire will constantly attack you for it.
Bro I think that u should make ur own kingdom it's more and more fun for us (and for u to grow ur channel😉)
Love from India
Yeah you're righ5t
But like he is not ready I wish he can buy the glave
Love that executioners axe.
Love your content and playthroughs. I have watched every bannerlord playthrough. Keep doing what you love🥰🥰
My day was good.... but now its even better!!!!
You should go for your castle and then head over for Rhoetae, so make a solid hold against western empire
Keep the episodes coming Apollo, I'm enjoying them so much. 😁👍
Biggus Deep may have fallen Apollo but do not fret because now you have.........Minas Dickus
I still cant believe one day biggus will be nostalgic
When Apollo get 2 troops from battle pretty sweet vs when he gets 3 from village oh god dam it
Yo those cannon kills were juicy 👍
Video after video you can hear how frustrated he gets with constant war. The everyday struggle for us who play bannerlord 😂😂😂
This why I fail my class cuz u told me the homework will do itself 😂 I love this guy video men 😂😂😂
Gersegos castle is like impossible to defend unless it’s your only settlement. Literally nonstop invasions
I love this series and company of hero's great job Apollo

the valandians typo is literally the way we all pronounce it

7:49 and 7:54 that never gets old 🤣😂
Northern Empire: "Biggus you are our deadliest lord. None have taken more territory and slain more than you. And so for your efforts of spearheading all our major offenses we grant you a single castle."
Biggus: "And what about forgettable horse faced lord #7?"
Northern Empire: "3 cities."

I got surgery at 6 AM this morning so I have a lot of time to watch your videos
And because I’m the king vlandia and I was wondering what I should change the vlandian name to
Can you imagine what his engineer skill would be if he had more skill points in it? Good god the feed
The name of Apollo's next character is going to be "Immensus Shlongus" at this rate...
Petition to make all future videos with the voice at 5:11
You should boost your athletics and get the perk that reduces your armor’s weight so you can run faster in sieges.
We want more !! 😄
Yeah bro I been waiting for next episode for 6 days😟
The catapult kills were so satisfying I want a video montage of catapult please
my coffee
my joint
my Apollo
Ahhh relax
WAR!
When leading a army if you go in and out of a place you capture they will leave behind Defenders
I agree very much so it's the weekend
Yo Apollo, I am 23 yo chad buffed up firefighter and I love your videos. Its not only for Kids (only watch bannerlord tho)
Those edits are so on point haha
Didn't expect a Jackie cameo
Let's go. Happy to be back. Nothing gets me in the mood like biggus d.
You can move Governors in the menu without going there and doing it personally
The reason you’re so slow when you get released is cause you have horses but that also means you are overburdened if you discard those horses
They should make a 1v1 but with two big armies with players leading them in multiplayer
the anger in your voice reminds me of when i play bannerlord lol love the content apollo!!!!!
oh and what long weapon were you using?
Apollo... They are attacking my castle. Let's take a look. Oh I want to join the siege. Oh damn, another army of 600+ shows up. Appolo 2.0, They are attacking my castle, I will call an army so they have time to join me while I make my way over there.
Also advance infantry until they hit the enemy then charge. They will stay in formation better.
If you edit your own videos, 5:41 your editing is on point Apollo lol!
That was me. Thanks 😊
You keep losing a lot of soldiers because you forgot to reset the surgeon after you lost your army again 🤣. Bro!!! Come on Apollo!

So violent this episode Apollo
such a shame your troops were being so stupid, you had killed nearly 75% of the enemies
apollo when you are in a army you dont need food
I FUCKING ENJOY WITH BEER AND CHEEPS BROOOO! LOVE UR WORK KEEP IT UP!
not Apollo encouraging us to procrastinate
