@@Haivexx Because if he freezes the lane, Yasuo's wave will grow, and he will be much harder to punish because there are more minions on his side, instead he keeps the minions even so Yasuo's minions slowly die and his minions slowly increase as he pushes the lane, which will eventually allow him to dive Yasuo.

It's easy.
Your whole team HAVE to play around the fact Yasuo is in enemy team, and build accordingly.

Could you guys make a guide on how to transition leads from lane and keeping them?
You often say that a lane is over if you get FB, a kill or an xp advantage but AFAIK you never tell us how to keep those leads. Might be a super basic question but one I think many would appreciate.
Slow push waves, look for roams or dives or set up vision. Take good recall timings and don't take coinflip roams.
I think they have one, at least I think it was them where they showed how a 5/0 adc fell behind and wasn't able to keep the lead and they explain why.
They did have videos about this topic.
Basically, push sidelane to the tower whenever possible, take solo xp, and if they send one to defend then try to dive, if more, try to back up and rotate to force 5v3

2 days ago I froze and slow pushed against an Irelia thinking "hahaha, I am so smart, now she looses CS and can't do anything to me" ...in the end I lost more CS from my minions being to many aggroing at the same minion than she lost from 2 and then a 3rd wave crashing under her tower :'( and I got ganked too the second time I slow pushed and got killed :'( and I deserved that and I learned to look on the map when doing that but :'(
I'd rate the experience 4/5
When you crash the wave, if you don't know where the jungler is sit in the middle of the lane not by the enemy tower. Throwing some minor harass while they are under tower matters little if you get ganked.
@@Oncus2 I was trying to prevent her from leashing the wave by walking with the 2 built up waves into her tower like I did the first time, not going past the second walls, like last time, but hecarim had other plans and was already there, waiting for me to do so

u'll rarely ever win CS against an irelia just because her Q exactly relies on that. i can lose a lane as irelia mid but still win by 50 cs or so because u mainly Q minions to either dodge or initiate.

retain your stun/charm/ slow/ displacement if he ults hes always going to end up behind you, behind minions his pokes no where near as strong

What I got as someone who doesn't play ranked:
-Pick champs with long range, a stun, and a way to deaggro turret. (aka most mid laners)
-Manage minions and pressure your opponent from cs. (aka basics)
-Know when your spells/ abilities are up. (aka playing any game ever)
-Map awareness. (Learned that from Zilean and Shen years ago.)
How are these not basic skills that counter everyone or just standard tips on managing lane? I saw the thumbnail and was thinking, "My Asol mid loses hard to Akali... I'd love to know how to counter her hard punish beyond farm... Sure would be nice to learn tricks that applied to every champ instead of niche cocoons or blood pools or shunpo to get away from Zed and Fizz." At this point you might as well just say it's all in the match up, knowing champ's abilities and outplaying them while knowing when you'll get outplayed to reduce feeding and deny their farm... aka playing the game vs autopilot.
(BTW, I've never seen Elise mid in blind or premade. Yasuo backing off was a sign he likely hadn't either and didn't know what Elise could do. Maybe show us niche champs that situationally counter these standard melee instead of rehashing basics? Like when we see Eve top or Lulu jg to prove points that it's not always lane/ role but _how_ you play.)
Yeah, i've noticed the same some time before. The champs, chosen for the match-up, often either have some benefits (like in video about how to counter range champs. Renekton vs Lucian xD double dash and stun, funny. Then Vlad vs Jax :) again gape closer and control, and a lot of opportunities to have great trades), or chosen champs have low pick rate or unusual roles so players dont know what to do in such a match up.
Can you do a video about what to do in a situation like 'the enemy bot is perma pushing and playing super agressive and denying my adc from farming, but our jungler is not coming to help us. We are stuck under a tower and we are mostly low hp because of the pressure.' I literally experience this a lot but I dont know what to do, please help me.

Actually Elise was designed to be a Zed counter so from what I've heard so it's fine to play her mid
Say you play a champion who cannot reliably dive/don't take ignite like ori, azir etc.
Would you freeze since the range advantage and poke is more reliable than slowpush into dive? Or is crashing a big wave then roaming the play, because neither option is as good at snowballing
get a minion lead in first wave, slow push second wave, then crash the cannon wave (3rd wave) then either get vision or harass them under tower, wave bounces back to you then you can freeze
Idk why it feels like Zed could also ignore most of this. He gets decent waveclear after first back, behaves like a ranged champion in lane and his ult is in such a low cooldown he can bait your ignite, port back and try again on cooldown.
I actually became better at tracking my own summoner spells and using my ignite in a camille vs dar or mord matchup. Thanks for the tips, i wouldn't have won so many lanes if it wasn't for you, McBaze
at around 3:30 it might be a scenario where it would be better not to auto the yasuo as he is already disengaging and there is no further damage you can output onto him, because his flow passive only procs on champion damage, but also blocks minion damage once procced, as all the auto damage gets blocked from flow, all that autoing him does is help negate some of the minion damage

This bothers me a little tbh, in theory this will work very well but you can't just sit on mid in most of the games, you have at least have the acknowledge of where the jungle is going for, you don't even mention warding or preparing the wave for a potencial scuttle early on. It's a nice video for you to have a grasp of what to do, the concepts mentioned is really nice, but will only work on gold against silverish players because the game never is just your lane. I guess the problem here is the target public being low elo players, so I'll take that. Great video as always.
check other videos. imo i like these single concepts better than mashing 4 concepts into 1 complex and potentially confusing vid
Knowledge in steps. If you don't know this part, you aren't ready to learn the rest. If you learn to ward vs the jungler but lose mid lane, that good warding isn't going to save you or even particularly help you. However, if you handle the enemy mid laner then you ONLY lose lane when the enemy jungler isn't a potato. Sometimes they are a potato.

Ranged v melee. Slow push and harras while u have the advantage range/exp/minion. This can be applied to any lane. That being zed sustain>poke>tank. Yep it's that simple!

I like to do this, tw only problem is the enemy jungler, yo need to be really perceptive of where is he and your own jungler to position yourself at the right side of the lane and use your ward to track his movement
This all sounds and looks great... But the real question is what if their yasuo isn't bad and uses this to setup a freeze, go for extended trades etc..? Your slowpush wont be enough to win the 1v1...
Fight in ur minion u wave and draw it out i suppose. I agree, this alone is not enough to win lanes
He can't freeze if you're there to pressure him, and if he goes for extended trades he'll die because you have more minions than he does so actually yes in the first 3 waves your slowpush is EXACTLY what lets you win the 1v1
There is no melee champ (maybe beside tryndamare that can crit u randomly 3 times in row at level 1 xD ) in the game that can contest the wave against a ranged champ at level 1.

Couldn´t you have killed Yassuo already at 03:20 when he dashed into your big wave by simply stunning him?
Since he has no point into W yet and a full rotation + extended minion damage prolly would be enough.
Or is the lesson to be learned here, to patiently wait for a 100% sure killwindow where it isn´t that close that they may could get away with 5HP?

@@petermeter4304 This is 1 year late but in case anyone is wondering, if he stunned him the yasuo wouldn't have taken minion aggro because he wouldn't have damaged elise yet, after yasuo goes in elise was knocked up and couldn't stun.

Doesn't matter, most mages mid lane have good burst if they land their cc. If he was oriana for example, a quick Q W R + ignite and some autos would do the same, and because ori doesn't need to go melee, she can walk out of the tower after taking like 2 shots at max. The thing is to get the concept of looking for a dive when you have a lvl advantage and a slow push built, then u try to apply it for your own champ.

Yone and Katarina are pretty even match up, he should never be able to Q3 you if he decided to go in with the (braindead) E Q3 combo, if he is near your knife that is free poke but yeah you are worse in early so try to survive for a bit

Giving up cs to avoid getting poked, basically if u dun have anything to do to ur opponent, dun go near.
If they over commit on poking while u can reach for certain, go for a burst trade, save few things for u to back out if ur champ got certain mobility (Riven E, Renek second E, low health minions for Ire Q out) reminder time those ability when enemy aa u before hit so they won't run it down
But for those who can deal alot of dmg personally like Darius or Garen, can go for all in since ranged top is fked if they get caught.

Could you please make a video on how to effectively counter Yasuo in the bot lane? It's so frustrating. Out of 10 matches, I face Yasuo in 7 of them. Of course, I can ban him... which I will be doing from now on. Perma Yasuo ban. I can handle every "normal" champ in bot lane (except for 1-2). But against Yasuo, I rarely stand a chance... My support often struggles with him as well.

when its melee adc there is the problem where the support still dictates the plays, so i cant fully abuse tricks like this, knowing nautilus would just hook me like that. even trying to keep minions infront of him doesnt make it feel safe enough

@@fioragaming19 Adc is the worst role. Always behind in level vs enemy top and midlaners. Has to rely on support during laning. Everyone can kill you. You can never farm safely without having a tower behind you. If you position poorly , you are oneshotted easily. Meanwhile, any meta top laner can : 1)Split push and 1v2 or 1v3 when ahead 2)Teleport to flank and smash enemy bot lane- who are usually 2 lvls behind you. 3) Help jungler secure top side scuttle and get lane prio 4) Take Herald 5) Invade enemy jungle and take his farm 6) 1v1 enemy jungler at any point in the game even when slightly behind 7)Gank enemy midlaner. (most midlaners get killed easily by most meta top laners). TLDR: Top laners have more agency in the game than bot laners.
@@RC-zm6bb Top lane is better then Adc, but its definitely worse than jg mid and support.
@@pedrohenrique-db3xd Top is better than support too. Top laners don't have to babysit adcs and share exp. As a top laner, you get more gold, exp, and your powerspike comes sooner, sometimes you don't even have to wait for a full mythic finished to 1v1 people. You are strong and impactful from the get go. Most games end before 30 mins. Play a few games as Darius or Renekton and see how satisfying it is. If you get 2-3 kills, that's more than enough to snowball your lane out of control. You literally make the game unplayable to your enemy. Can any support do that?! Can any adc snowball hard like that?! No, they can't. Not with 2-3 kills.
I'd say playing Elise does matter somewhat. As a lux main I have no get out of diving or ganks free ability.

If you keep the 5 minions + incoming wave alive, the wave is too big to fight Yasuo in it. You want a slow push, you you have more minions to kill Yasuo with it.

Cause if you freeze there yasuo has more minions and that means more damage from minion aggro if you try to fight him
U do want to freeze there, what he does was bad. His explanation of not freezing makes no sense. The kill he does relies on yas being dumb
@@nicolasburton323 Both options are fine, but the freeze a safer option while the slow push into the dive can snowball tbe lane even harder. If he thought the enemy jg was nearby, for example, he would probably freeze to make sure he doesn't throw his lead.

Lmao as an ADC main, the idea that I could ever push slowly enough to stack waves is risible. The (ally) lux support simply will not allow wave management.

You'll get better at it eventually
As f4nshark said, practice and the practice mode itself will help a lot. Since you can set no enemy you will automatically be slow pushing if you only last hit without autoing the wave so that's good practice there

Playing safe. If darius doesn't snowball the lane he doesn't do that much compared to other top laners. Hes a lane bully and you have to respect him no matter what.

As a bronze Fizz main, it always amazes me how little I get auto attacked. Sometimes I'll purposefully take bad cs where I am vulnerable, just to test if they will do anything, and 60+% of the time, they don't. So even though I'm the melee I will have +15 cs even before I solo kill at level 6. I'm almost silver now because any ranged matchup is such a pushover in my elo
I felt this comment in my soul. I often play normals with lower-ranked friends and it's crazy how much more farm I get compared to my own games, just because every CS is uncontested. Another thing that happens quite often in these scenarios is me being sure that I just lost lane because I fucked up my wave state so badly and then you just watch the enemy laner fix it for you.
One way to counter them if its zed play rammus midlane is funny as hell

Yasuo can not fight you in your minions ? Yeah right.. he dashes trough gets trades with you dashes back gets another passive shield no use in winning a trade with that
If you have an entire wave behind you he can never win the trade. He can go for a quick E in - aa - Q - E out with his passive but thats it, and then you can look to poke him while his passive is down.
Want to counter meta melee champs? Tahm Kench. Fun asf and can literally 1v1 any top laner if you use approach velocity and ignite and has roam potential with ult and turbo chemtank. Freelo until maybe Plat.

The problem is he has a wind wall with 30 secs cooldown to block projectile for 4 seconds, not that long in the laning phase and he can block auto but he will die to hard cc and ability, or block hard cc and get auto to his head
