I did what you said for audio but I am still not hearing anything through my headphones on my streaming pc. The desktop audio meter is not going up and down either. EDIT: Figured it out. You have to click the settings button next to the 4k60 Pro, press properties, then down at the bottom you should see "Audio Output Mode" then in the dropdown, select "output desktop audio (directsound)" then hit done.
Hey I joined the Discord to ask some questions but I'm asking here too (we never know :D) So when I'm listening to something on my gaming pc, I hear it twice. (So I tried to mute the sound on my streaming pc and it actually works, I don't hear the sound coming from my gaming pc twice anymore) And when I tried to record on my streaming pc, I can hear sounds from the gaming pc, but no sounds of desktop my mic works) is recorded... So on the vod, we can only hear my voice...
So I am trying to get my monitor from my desktop to display onto my laptop but it doesnt seem to show up as a device. But my laptop screen shows up on my desktop when I try to do the reverse
When i use this setup i can't change my audio to my headset on the streaming pc it just reverts back to the elgato cap card instantly, then seems to have a slight delay on the audio i'm hearing.

Here's a fix for a problem i was having just disconnect second monitor from elgato and you dont have issues with different monitor refresh rates and resolutions. And you free up that monitor for OBS and your streaming browser. Hope it helps anyone else having that problem
I'm having trouble having the el gato pick up my friends voices when i play video games with them. It doesn't pick up them talking so my video recording is me just talking to what seems like no one. I have yet to find a solution to this and no one has any content on how to physically step by step do this. Any help?

You outlined a problem that is common, which is the refresh rate being greyed out on the nvidia control panel. Why did you assume it wouldn't be greyed out if it was to you?

I have a 1440p 240hz monitor I just upgraded to. Running a 2 pc setup. I’m using a elgato HD60 S and no matter what it switches my gaming pc to play games in 1080 (I know cause the 60s) will this 4k60 pro mk2 allow me to stream 1080 to twitch but won’t change my gaming resolution to 1080 on my gaming pc?
He ended up coming into discord if I’m remembering correctly, but no the 4k60 maxes out at 1080p240, 1440p144, and 4k60. I’m currently doing 1440p144 with a duplicated output and retain my refresh rate.
The solutions I’ve read is just to go NDI. Idk how well it’ll work… but my stream pc is a 10700k should be enough to push it. Will be trying it out sometime this week.

Nope you’ll be fine this is what I do. Make sure the 4k elgato software is set to 1440p144 or 60, and in obs you can actually leave the resolution at 1080p and it will work fine.

So there’s about a 15-20ms delay with the audio monitoring. It’s almost not noticeable, but if you are doing audio sync games like clone hero/guitar hero etc then you can’t do this method. I have since changed my dual pc method after making this video but it’s a bit more pricey

Nice video. But what is really interesseting is: Connect soundinterface with mic and headphone to the gaming pc, so I can play and listen without streaming PC on. If streaming then send the alerts soounds from the streaming PC to the gaming PC back, also discord/teamspeak. That way make more sense but 99,9% didnt show this. 😞

From my experience, as the 4k60 Pro Mk.2 only supports up to 1080p240hz, will it affect my main monitor's refresh rate? I heard that if you duplicate your main monitor to another one of lower resolution, it will lower the main monitor's refresh rate too.

Before I came here I have ordered an extra hdmi 2.0 cable because I saw another video saying to connect one hdmi going from your gaming pc to the capture card IN slot and the other hdmi cable from your gaming monitor to the capture card OUT slot. What you think I should do with the extra hdmi cable should I still plug it in or no?
Nah, just leave it out. As long as you are getting your audio in obs and getting the frames you want then just keep it as a back up. Never hurts to have extra cables!

how come i do everything and it’s all setup up properly and in NVCP (nvidia control panel) it says my elgato is on 240 hz but in advanced display settings in windows it’ll be on either 60-144hz and when i put that on 240hz also the elgato doesn’t pick the signal up bc if that’s on 60-144 wouldn’t it make the main monitor down scale to those numbers instead of it being at 240. plus both monitors are 1080p my stream pc monitor is a 75hz and the gaming pc monitor is a 240 but i’m someone that has the exact setup and works fine

Sounds like you may have turned on audio monitoring for your mic? Your mic is on the streaming pc right?

for tha sound, it's better to enable stereo mix and set tha stereo mix to tha capture card, i had to do it with my AverMedia GC573 capture card

Pass through wise there is no delay but you will still be capped at 60fps

So once you put in your elgato in OBS, you don't touch the other settings that's listed in OBS under video capture device?
I’m still getting zero audio from the game pc. The bar shows audio is moving but nothing is coming out I can’t see where it is tripped up at

Yep! Right click on the Elgato source in obs and click properties. Then click deactivate, wait about 3-4 seconds and click activate. Desync gone :)
Why is it when i turn off free sync every thing disappears on my desktop. Then when I enable free sync every thing comes back?

i have dual system and 4k60 pro. i have not graphic card on streaming pc . can i stream with h.264 (cpu) only? ,without gpu? i have gpu only on main gaming pc.
I’m running a dual pc setup but my resolution is 2560x1440 1440hz and I’m getting massive screen tearing unless I open up obs + Elgato recording software… on the streaming rig! Please help me fix this… it’s driving me nuts

hi I saw husker using 1440p 240hz monitor and using dual pc stream with 4k60mk2. but there is no info or video out. doesn elgato know or can help me how to do it?
how come i do everything and it’s all setup up properly and in NVCP (nvidia control panel) it says my elgato is on 240 hz but in advanced display settings in windows it’ll be on either 60-144hz and when i put that on 240hz also the elgato doesn’t pick the signal up bc if that’s on 60-144 wouldn’t it make the main monitor down scale to those numbers instead of it being at 240. plus both monitors are 1080p my stream pc monitor is a 75hz and the gaming pc monitor is a 240 but i’m someone that has the exact setup and works fine
how can you open 4k utility if you have duplicated the gaming pc, I have a monitor for my gaming pc and one for the streaming pc
