03.23.22: I'd first learned of Ms. Sloane's artistry was in '88 while stationed on a remote site in Karatas, Turkey; and, it was her phrasing, tone, and coolest that won me over . . . since then, I have tried to purchase every CDs my budget could afford; I had the pleasure of seeing her at the Vanguard, and pre-Covid at BIRDLAND's . . . I have a photo with her at Birdland's that I would cherish . . . always! & to top it all off . . . in person Ms. Sloane is charming and has a gentle spirit . . . .
