We are enjoying these so much! Great photography-good balance between close ups of Captain and crew, drone shots and views of water, sky, birds, etc. We like the mix of chatter from the crew and information/answers to questions from CJ, too.
I live on the water near point lookout Maryland and I use chicken necks off my dock to catch them and I have pots, great deal as the males are good eating and often I get peelers which are great bait attached or on the pylings of my dock a
Short answer is you have to buy a license, boat and atleast 1000 crab pots. If I had a 100k to spend I would put it in the stock market when it bottoms out next year. You'll be a millionaire sooner.
FV Miss Paula looks like you’ve come a long way. I had to do a double take when I saw the name. Kinda weird it just popped up on my feed 20 years after working on the original boat. Whoever made the video did a good job too 👍🏼
That picture of the bay bridge through the crab pot tells a story all in itself ! !
Yall doing a fab.job for me. Watermen. Of md.
I can smell this video and I love it.
I did this for 8 years. It's been 35 years ago and I still miss it
Another great one! Great tunes too!

Great video! I saw a dolphin last July near the rt 450 bridge in the Severn. It seems like more are coming into the bay.
Thats awesome Keith! It's neat they're coming this far up the Bay.
Amezing video and choice of music. Wishing I was there. Keep them coming!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Feel free to tell us what you want to see more of and we'll try to make sure we focus on those subjects.
Dont worry about birds, less fish means more crabs.
How deep do you set the pots?
Usually anywhere from 4 to 25 feet. Spring and fall they set to 65 ft or deeper.
Is that dried up shrimp for bait?
Shrimp heads. They pop the heads off so they can sell the tails to eat.
@@CrabdadCJ where do you get them
@@dealecrabr9425 they come out of North Carolina.
crawfish as bait ? I thought fish or chicken ? what month is the best and can I Crabb in oct.
There shrimp heads. We use fish and clams too. Best crabs of the year are in September and October.
Wow, all those pots & not a single crab.
How far away do you have to stay from other people's pots? Are there actual regulations or just etiquette?
No regulations but try to give each other room. With underwater lines we can't cross each other.
