Been meaning to get down to the PAM to check out this exhibit. Love the Dark Star accompaniment! I'll bet you got a nice collection of those posters from back in your day, huh? Thanks for this. Happy New Year!
Looks like you are having a really good time. I missed the McCartney photo exhibition when it was in the UK, but I do have the book. The psychedelic poster exhibition looks excellent too. I have a few art books celebrating posters from this period that are very good. I managed to get a couple of them from the Strand bookshop in New York on a visit a few years back. Thanks for another well curated video. Much appreciated.
Took the train down to Portland a few weeks ago and was fortunate to see the McCartney exhibit, so good! It's moving to the de Young starting in March. Hit up Little Axe as recommended and found a few things, very cool store.
Nice to meet you and Dr. Robert at the Portland Art Museum by chance yesterday. I was a bit surprised to see you there, but not really. I see I made a few brief appearances in your video, that was great. I love your channel and maybe i'll see you around Seattle in the future. See ya man, Tom in Auburn, WA.
A really nice job on this, well done and thanks for sharing. Good choice of music 🎶 For folks wondering about this Dark Star, my guess is Hampton VA, October '89
I can finally watch this video after seeing the gallery on the last day. It was Incredible! What record stores in Portland are your go-tos? I only had time for 2nd Avenue and Everyday, got the RSD Imagine release from 2019
Beautiful video (per usual). And the music fits so well. One question: Which version of "Dark Star" is it? (from which album?) I see on Wikipedia that it was played at basically all of the Great Dead's concerts, and many of them were recorded. (It's not the studio version, which only lasts 2:44, is it?) Thanks in advance!
The exhibition design in Portland looks really similar to the London National Portrait Gallery show - same coloured walls etc. Looks like you had fun - cheers, D
Love it, two nice guys going to a great exposition.
I won't be able to visit the exhibitions so thank you very much for this excellent video. Dark Star fits like a glove. :)
What a great trip it has been. You are a true Renaissance man! I enjoyed the ride along. Tell Dr Robert I said hello.
Taking a drive to meet friends and see the world is a favorite thing to do. 🌟
That was awesome! You picked the perfect song for that.
Cool gift 😎 What a great looking exhibit. Love that last shot at the end!

Hey Mazzy. Cool video. Both shows look fantastic! Cheers
Those are two fine exhibits. I like how you virtually take us through the rooms in this video.
Nice use of Grateful Dead Dark Star Mazzy. This is a great video since I know I likely wouldn't see this exhibition otherwise. Very cool exhibit.
Well at least you e seen a small part of the show.
Do agree, the last pic of Mazzy is very clever! Actually makes him part of the original photo! Very clever!
As always, another wonderful vid, Maz!

Ah! Thanks for that! Cheers!
When I hear the Grateful Dead I realise why people had to take drugs before they could listen to them.
Outstanding
Not too shabby. Portland is a bit of a stretch for me here. Paul's photos are impressive. Thanks.
I love how those in the UK refer to him as Macca.
Also if that's your new Akubra, I think you've found your best hat yet.
It’s a wonderful hat 🤠
