Thanks for doing a video, "C BASS" I have been using Echomaster cameras. The cables have a small round 4 pin connector on them. I have installed a pioneer camera on a friend's car and I was not thrilled with how the cable was. I try to keep the connecting inside the panel so if the body part needs to be removed you don't have to fish the wire from half way into to the vehicle. On some hatchbacks with short roofs I run the wires up under the headliner then down the A pillar.
Nooo if only this video existed 3 years ago, I would not had to wrestle with that RCA connector for making it through the grommet 😂. Man I was sweating. I had to use a lubricant foam to do it 😅.
Great video, thanks! Going to be installing the unit + car camera to my wife's Celica. The part where you connected the head unit to the rear lights, that means you had to supply your own wire to make that connection, right? What guage wire? And to access the bundle of wires on the passenger side, i noticed you had opened up the side of the middle console. Do you have to do that in order to access the bundle of wires?
I tapped into the “reverse 12v light” wire that runs between the center console. Sending that wire back into the brake light housing seemed like an unnecessary travel.
Hey man I was wondering if I could buy a manual transmission off you if you have it and possible everything needed to swap an auto to manual for a deal maybe? Cuz I’d have to drive to you wherever you live. I love In Colorado
Whoever installed the back up camera on my Celica drilled a hole in the license plate light and routed the wire through there. Might be an option for anyone concerned about rust
Multiple ways exists, just gotta be creative. Since I’m not too concerned about rust I just made a new hole and covered it with the RTV to avoid water going into the hatch and to make my life a bit easier during installation.
Nice!! I chose to install mine on the button of my TRD rear Valence, wired through the trunk/spare drain plug.

Question, unfortunate i have the RCA cables, i got it through the damn tube. Did you tap into the brake like at all? Or just in the front?

@@2zzlow why?

Yes there's place for quite a big one on the plastic handle. Drilled mine in there and routed cable through one of the pre-existing holes.

Where did you get the base mount?
