It's like aliens landing on an ice world, right as a war starts on the planet. The artwork drew me in, making it my first trivium album, and its still my favourite to this day.
@@cheesesteak983 yeah definitely, I think trivium just have so many incredible albums that ones that are still great but maybe not quite as good are seen as bad in comparison
@@charliemeikle5946 ikr?! SitS is not bad at all. It’s a great gateway for heavier music and Until The World Goes Cold is one of their best songs for a reason because of its radio friendliness
This album is so underrated! One of my favs from Trivium, all of the choruses are insanely well written and it balanced the metalcore/thrash and hard rock sound perfectly. This is the perfect gateway album that I always show to friends who are looking to get into heavier music.
Strife is so soft and smooth sounding. I love it! I'm really digging these songs in a different light. Matt, you have a great voice, singing or screaming, it doesn't matter. Easily one of the best metal artist that truly appreciates his fans! Awesome dude! Awesome band!
Huge fan Matt. Trivium was actually the very first band I'd ever seen live waaayyy back in the day when you toured with Coheed and Cambria, and Slipknot, and played in Greensboro NC. I've watched you go through a billion drummers and evolve as artists. Nothing but respect for you. I think you have an amazing voice, I always have, and I'm no vocal expert or vocal coach (howeverb I do have a musician's ear), but with the exception of the chorus, a lot of your vocals here don't "feel" natural, almost like it sounds like you're holding yourself back from letting your voice do what it does best. I get you want to sound more "gentle" because this is acoustic, but I feel like there's a way to do that while sounding more "natural" in the process. That's my only criticism. Still sounds great. 8 out of 10 lol
The original tunes are brilliant to be honest I love the stripped down version just as good.. unfortunately up ta now I've only seen trivium once supporting MAIDEN at Newcastle arena some time ago. Kinda funny considering I've got all there stuff... gunshot was my 1st tune that got me HOOK Matthew and his metal team 🤘🤘🤘🤘
I remember being so disappointed the first time I played VF all the way through. I had been a huge trivium fan for 7 years at that point and I wasn’t feeling it. I kept listening and it grew on me. I ended up liking it overall more than in waves. I think in waves best songs were better than the best from VF, but VF was overall the better record. They still are way below shogun, ascendency, sin, and dead men though.
This album grew on me over time. However I still say Draiman wasn't the right guy to produce this album. There's just certain parts of some songs Draiman influences Matt's singing a bit too much. Perhaps Matt agrees. Vengeance was his lowest ranked Triv album haha
I swear Vengeance Falls has the coolest album artwork
Reminds me of Thanos' ships dropping in around Wakanda in Avengers Endgame. Shit, that T design wouldve been awesome for a Thanos ship too 🤣
I’m gonna agree. Until court is dragon came out but still a hard #2

Such an underrated album, sounds great acoustic too apparently!
I tell people this all the time!! I gets such a bad rap.
@@rocioiribe5841 I feel both you guys. I personally love this record, it's in my top 4.
That’s how I feel about Silence in the Snow

That Windows notification around 1:03 cracks me up.
And then Matt opens with:
"My anxiety's clawing
Out from deep within me"
Well, he gave me anxiety with this sh*t :D

I hope this record will get more appreciation in future concerts !
Wake is pure emotion 🔥🖤🤘🏼
And it's so angry too. Pure emotion 🔥🔥
One of my all time favorite Triviums songs and damn this version hits hard
This album is where Matt's vocals really went to the next level. Draiman really did us right on this album.
WAKE fuck yes!!! Easily the best song on this album
I would kill for the title track to be played live. One of the best Trivium choruses imo
Damn i cannot express how underrated these songs and compositions are.. they deserve so much more recognition
Please do villainy thrives. My fav song from the album
This may be the better EP ever made...Love Vengeance, it became my top one Trivium album this year!
Progress from ascendency to vengeance fall is so impresive)
Can't wait for silence in the snow)

You don’t know Strife or the song unless you wrote the song or lived it. So much feels!!!
STILL my favorite Trivium album!!!
At the end of this war and Wake (The end is nigh) are sooooo underrated
Please do Cease All Your Fire on the Silence in the Snow ep!!!!!!
This is amazing. I hope Heafy busts out Cease All Your Fire 🤟
Through Blood and Dirt and Bone was fucking hauntingly good. God damn that was beautiful
So good.🖤☑️
Amazing 🇧🇷
Villainy Thrives being in here would have made it perfect.

This is the best Trivium album !
Thanks, Matt. I love your acoustic things
BRILLIANT
I love this album, as if there was a Trivium album not to love. Great acoustic and clean vocals work, Matt! 🔥 Fire - Jam 🎸 On!!!
Such a master piece.
Woww
At first, I was like "Huh, I didn't remember there was a Trivium song titled "Losing My Religion"".
...
Ok, there wasn't any !
Love the acoustic versions
This goes straight to favourites! Is it going to get on Spotify?
Closing in on 200k subs! I remember when this channel started up!
Maravilloso!! 🖤🖤🤘🏻🤘🏻
Genial. Relax!!!!
amazing.
No way to heal and Skulls would have been epic, having Skulls with a Jazz/Swing type of vibe.

Man, there's a windows notification sound at the beginning. 😁
Sounds killer! Maybe do some Shogun songs next?
He's already done Shogun, just scroll back through his channel a little bit

Almost as cool as your sisters cover of silence in the snow
Wake acoustic > wake original
Wake acoustic = 😍
Wake original = 😍
I'm a huge Trivium fan but sadly I can't get behind this, sorry Matt.
