Do you know what this episode made me realise? Shank's Grand fleet is filled with small fry weaklings, which means everything he has accomplished, the force he is, is solely dependent on his main crew's power.

Most of the time, people are safe under the umbrella of a yonkou because people don't want smoke with a yonkou fleet. In Shanks's case, the people no one wants smoke with are his main crew. Other yonkou have enough strong subordinates to deal with minor enemies. The Red Hair Pirates don't, so it means their main force will show up. So at the end of the day, it's not necessarily about packing more strength than other main crews. It's about their main force moving around to kick people's a$$, who mess with Shanks's friends. Imagine if Kaido+ his Calamities + the Tobi Roppo were GUARANTEED to ALL come for you, and utterly wreck you, whenever you attack one of their ships. There's also reasons to think that the Red Hair Pirates have a way to move around much faster than most. Probably a mastery of ship bubble coating and undersea currents, which were said to run uninterrupted across the planet, and have much faster currents than surface-level current and wind allow to travel. If that's the case, then people know they pull up super fast too. 😂 No one wants that smoke.
Mihawk probably did more than that. By all logic, he must have defeated Shanks. Their rivalry and duels were well-acknowledged. If he's known as the WSS, and the Marine is very confident in saying he's an even better swordsman than Shanks, it's likely because Mihawk emerged victorious. Plus, he's now looking for an opponent stronger than Shanks... It all suggests he defeated Shanks, and thinks only an even stronger adversary stands a chance to really challenge him.

Shanks has 20 seconds worth of future sight. The strongest Haki, the Blood of the Godknights Leader and the personal training of the Pirate King. He is the last remaining original Yonko for a reason. And I won't be shocked if he is the last fight of the series. Not as a villain, but as a clean fight to see if Luffy is worthy of Shanks' captain's treasure.
People missed it but Killer was actually in the frame when Shanks attacked @8:01. He tried to save Kid but that Divine Departure (Kamusari) has area of effect.
I may be one of very few people not that impressed with Shanks. I mean, it looked cool. But is the feat itself THAT much crazy, compared to everything else we've seen ? I don't think so. Angry Shanks one-shotting Kidd with a surprise ACoC named attack is not really the craziest feat, to me. Yonkou-level ACoC is the highest AP we have so far, it knocked out Luffy cold four times (even "killed" him), and even knocked the G5 out of him once...Kidd was never shown to be able to endure that level of AP, let alone from as clean a shot as Shanks managed to land on him. Heck, I don't even put it past Zoro to one-shot Kidd, if he were to catch him off-guard with Asura or a KoH Dragon Damnation. Swordsmen's attacks are supposed to be devastating, Zoro ends most of his opponents in one effective shot. They don't use lethal weapons just for show. The difficulty for them is typically to actually land a clean blow, amd Shanks cut out that difficulty by blitzing Kidd when he was in a vulnerable position. I think an angry Kaido could one-shot Kidd with a surprise Ragnaraku, Destroyer of Death Thunder Bagua or Blazing Bagua as well.

I wonder who made the storyboard? IMO the animation carried this episode, I don't like the storyboarding here. I think because I was expecting too much especially seeing from the Manga. I expected COC haki still oozing the moment Shanks was walking towards Kid's Crew, I expected Kid's crew passing out the moment the Griffin Aura came out, I expected a slashing aura of Coc haki slicing it's path the moment Shanks release it just like Rogers, I expected Henry Thurlow's Aokiji aura animation or Rayleigh's Aura facing Blackbeard like for Shanks, I expected Shanks crew standing menacingly looking at Kid's Crew the moment Rockstar called Shanks to get back to the ship.
