Really enjoyed the river nene. Wow some of those locks really gush in. That is a lesson. What a beautiful village Elton is, so nice to see. So good to catch up, we got a bit behind with work etc. thank you as always for a beautiful Vlog ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Jacqui, thanks matey! Elton is a very pretty village, we loved it there. The Nene on the whole is beautiful, but like you say, those locks can be fierce! Thanks Jacqui xx
Thank you! There will always be the odd one or two with perhaps negative opinions, but thank you for your lovely comments, we really appreciate them! xx
Hello again, Julie! I noticed something I thought was curious. When you visited the graveyard of that lovely church in Elton, many of the headstones were leaning all in the same direction. It was almost as if Elton had had an earthquake that tipped the ground up a bit and made the stones all lean. Weird! (Since I'm fairly certain Elton isn't on a fault line! 😉) I'm a complete spider-phobe, so thinking about you having to climb that webby ladder had me in shivers. And, lastly, I loved seeing the beautiful Red Kites. You got such wonderful shots of them! Have a great week!
Hi Chris! xx I did notice that, but just assumed that the ground had moved over the many years they had been there. I don’t know the answer as to why the gravestones are leaning and can’t find anything online. However, we have had 2 earthquakes in Peterborough that I know of, one was Feb 1992 and the other was around 2001-ish, so perhaps could have been that 🤷♀️ Lol re spiders, it was mind over matter, so long as I didn’t see the spider haha. I tried so hard to get the red kites, they are beautiful birds! Thanks Chris xx
My partner and I love churches, Its called Church Crawling. We are on a mission to go in every church in Suffolk, over 700 of them.. I reckon it will take us 15 years x
Wow that’s some mission! I think this is the first time we’ve found a church that’s open, usually they have been locked. We really enjoyed having a mooch around. Thanks Julie and good luck with your mission xx
Hi Kath, believe it or not, although there are over 2000 miles of canals and rivers, you meet people every day. The boating community is wonderful, it’s like going back in time when everyone was nice to each other. So you may meet someone on one canal, then months later, you bump into them again on a different canal. Everyone is moving all the time, so you end up with lots of new friends and acquaintances in a very short time, so it actually wouldn’t get lonely unless you chose to keep yourself to yourself. It’s a lovely life. Thanks Kath xx
Hello ✋️ I have finally caught up with your adventures, inly a couple of weeks behind 😂 you guys certainly had some fun times and all.kept smiling through what must have been a worrying time ❤ another great vlog, stay safe xx
What a beautiful cruise. Wonderful countryside, beautiful river, and an interesting lack of ‘street art’ on the bridges and hard landscaping. Very different from the more urban areas. Love how the two boats travel together - you and Nikki make a great trio!! Hope you’re all doing well in the ridiculously hot weather this week 😊xx
Aww yes, we do make a good team with Nikki, we literally parted ways (again) yesterday, but I’m sure we’ll be seeing her again soon, she’s great company. The river Nene is a beautiful river. Thank you for your lovely comment Mishka xx
To quote my hero World 🌎 President Donald John Trump…. There are a lot of stoopid places and even more, stoopid people. Great video, but where Julie, where Martin is the ‘you are broke’ sign in the thumb nail 🤣🤫😉
So sorry you didn’t enjoy this. We purposely left the wind noise in this particular video, to show just how windy it was. We do have microphones, but they make everything sound weird, as half of the ambient sound is missing. I do usually try to limit the wind noise when editing and will look to getting some better microphones for the future. They are rather expensive though, so trying to work with what we have at the moment. Hopefully this hasn’t deterred you from watching our videos 🤞 and you’ll give us another go for the next one on Thursday. Thank you! xx

I agree about the scent of the lime tree flowers.I picked ours to bring in the house. You are cruising our old river stomping ground.
We loved the river Nene, such a lovely river, we used to live in Peterborough and couldn’t wait to take our narrowboat down there! Thanks Shirley! xx

Lovely vlog. Beautiful village. Nice to see the two boats traveling together. Lovely life but expect it can get lonely on your own.

Hahaha, oh no, did we forget again?! 😂😂🤣 No, much rather keep it real 👍😘 Thanks Nigel xx
OMG the wind noise is brutal I had to turn it off! Why not spend some money and get a wind proof microphone? Really wanted to watch but so annoying.
