I don't think I'll taste something like that again. 9/10 I'm going again
Actualy he is smiling at the way he eats the pizza wich would be quite odd for an italian. Folded and almost jumping forward to bite it. But the pizza looks delicious.
Just got back from Italy! Stayed with my Italian friends family who took us out in to the suburbs of Rome far away from all the tourists so we could eat out at traditional style restaurants where absolutely no english was spoken! So amazing...had some amazing pizza for breakfast in Florence as well as we were running to get our train to Venice whilst hungover...best few weeks of my life!
Dude! I just realized now why we have several authentic Italian pizzerias in Dhaka and its not mostly restricted to some 5 star hotel like in neighboring countries. There's a lot of these chefs who worked under prominent Italian chefs and trained under them. To whoever's reading this if you're ever in the capital (Dhaka) try and grab a slice at a restaurant called Bella Italia. Its not high end or loaded american style but its good thin crust pizza with great dough and good toppings. Bangladesh represent! I got so hyped when I saw a Bangladeshi cook in a video of this series :D
I never visited Bangladesh but ended up meeting alot of bangladeshi working in portugal, Spain and Italy. Feels good to meet someone from same sub continent in Europe
All the small ethnic food shops are called bangladini here, they are usually open till late at night and are the perfect place to get a cold beer bottle for cheap. So much that there is an app called Bangladino signaling all the shops in town, when they close and how cheap their beer is.
I feel like at some point Bonci fought Rocky in some underground boxing match in the '80s. Later, they both went out for pizza. Pretty sure that happened.
Stayed in Rome for my honeymoon. Seriously lived off pizza while there. It has since spoiled and changed the way I see pizza ever since. From Arizona so the only crap I knew was dominos and papa Johns. Love this show and love the host.
I work at a pizzeria in gilbert called Fire and Brimstone, you should come check it out sometime! The pizza is incredible and the place is just awesome! If you haven’t heard of us yet you should come by!

This was absolute comfort to my soul. I was really considering going to Rome someday for the food and to experience the culture and spirit there and my god! This did it, it combined my love for the art of food (not that i'm so much a lover of pizza but the process and creation of foods? get it?) and place and the vibe of people. It gives me a feeling of wanting to do things i have never done before and i am absolutely grateful right about now. I'm so deeply happy lol wasn't expecting this at all. I’ve been on a serious pizza show tear. Watching Frank non stop. Currently living in Jersey so I think one of these days I’m going to hit NYC and try all the spots he’s been to
Last year my team, who I have spent so much time, money and emotion on, all my life, got to the champions league final for the first time in our history. We lost. But I made the return trip via Rome, for a few days. I sensed that, win or lose, I would need some time to decompress. I’d wanted to try Bonci’s pizzarium for years. And I wasn’t disappointed. Food from the heart, that healed my broken one. He will never see this, but thank you chef 🙏
We love you guys. There is plenty of bengali immigrants in Roma, and they are all great people of heart and common sense..they are integrating very well with our society because they share a lot of values with us. Intelligence, humanity, education. We are very much alike. Big hug from Roma
Knowing what makes a great pizza, comes from the chef idea,on what ingredients flavor color the pizza.and having a team that loves, understanding, and haves heart to do the job right.
This episode made me sure that this is the best show about pizza ever created. Frank you've made a lot of failed handshakes on this show but you're an amazing entertainer, you always have something interesting to say and you stay 100% cheerful whatever who's in front of you or what you're doing. Love to Munchies and all of the crew ! This is great internet content.
I dont know if the italians make the best food, I mean lately in Michelin star terms the spaniards, french and even germans and british have beaten them, but what the italians have more than any other country, is a love for eating, and using food as a way to relate to each other. What that pink haired woman says that no one eats alone in her restaurant is amazing and something only an italian would even think. Imagine a brit saying that. Other countries see food as an isolated experience while italians see it as their way of being sociable and human. Thats where I think they have an advantage over other countries
Well, that's not true. The first michelin restaurant in the world is in my city Modena,Italy. And there are plenty of others in the list. www.google.it/amp/s/www.eater.com/platform/amp/worlds-50-best-restaurants-awards/2018/6/19/17475404/worlds-50-best-restaurants-2018-list-winners
The Michelin food usually is very small portion food and expensive like a car and in the end you're still hungry.... Italy is the home of food. Sorry guys, but we have to admit. They have the best food in the world. Can't say about people, but food. There's no doubt.
He's basically saying don't elevate yourself to something that you're not. He understands that he does what he loves, but it's still just making pizza. That's why he was talking about being "honest."
Only ppl who have made pizzas themselves and dealt with dough realize how amazing the handling of the long style pizza dough is. Crazy he’s so masterful with it.
in tunisia too we speak with our hands and we touch alot ..it is typical med.tranean we can not speak like chineese hands crossed as being fucked from the ass...meditranean people understand each other...la dolce vita

Very hit and miss when I was there 15ish years ago(this was before the time of yelp/smartphones, so finding the good spots wasn't exactly easy back then). Good thing our hotel was located kinda off centre, because that's where we found the good spots.

I just returned from Rome and I went to Pacificio Bonci where I saw him. Oh my God his presence was simply amazing. I kept staring at him for 1st minute doubting who that guy is and later just awestruck and couldn't think of anything else.
And OMG his pizza with Sausage and mushroom is something spectacular. I don't think I'll taste something like that again. 9/10 I'm going again
Being awestruck because of a baker, what a useless life.
Yet another excellent pizza show ! Frank is the pizza man ! thank you Munchies

10:03 the face you make when you know that you’re Pizza Pie is on point🤣🤣
Actualy he is smiling at the way he eats the pizza wich would be quite odd for an italian. Folded and almost jumping forward to bite it. But the pizza looks delicious.
16:21 when the chef scratch is ball, best part ever! :))))))
I was disgusted and thoroughly entertained by the shenanigans🤣🤣

Just got back from Italy! Stayed with my Italian friends family who took us out in to the suburbs of Rome far away from all the tourists so we could eat out at traditional style restaurants where absolutely no english was spoken! So amazing...had some amazing pizza for breakfast in Florence as well as we were running to get our train to Venice whilst hungover...best few weeks of my life!
16:21 casual scratch of the nutsack. 😂
Haha, was just about to post this!
it's the secret flavor

Reepect the guy hiring a bengali brother, makes us happy well done , bonci is singing the national anthem with him lol 🇧🇩🇮🇹 ❤🙏
“Bengali brother” 😂😂
My Patents Are from dhaka haha
This comment is underrated tbh

Much love from India for Bonci singing the Bangladesh National anthem. You are an italian viking pizza wizard sir!

Bonci is De Rossi with a pizza addiction
I expected Bonci to ride off on a giant horse. That is one charismatic man.
Stayed in Rome for my honeymoon. Seriously lived off pizza while there. It has since spoiled and changed the way I see pizza ever since. From Arizona so the only crap I knew was dominos and papa Johns. Love this show and love the host.
hell yeah oh I agree man. I’ve found a couple good pizza places in az since then. But dominos and papa johns suck lol.
Pizzeria Bianco in Phoenix. It's about as close to Italian style pizza you are going to get in the valley.
I work at a pizzeria in gilbert called Fire and Brimstone, you should come check it out sometime! The pizza is incredible and the place is just awesome! If you haven’t heard of us yet you should come by!

I'm a simple man and I find great delight in watching this awesome presentation while eating some pizza with ice-cold beer in hand!
I just wanted to watch some food vids! But now i'm really content and very happy i found this video! Thank you!!!
A lawyer, graphic designer and a Michelin star cook. Damn!
Man, it feels so good to hear Italian from time to time!
These boys are really passionate about food.. rarely seen in Denmark, without people ending up on TV and turning in to kings of their own tiny worlds
I really need to stop watching shit like this when I'm hungry.

Ahh.. Menabrea bear. I visited the brewery in Biella some years ago. They have this wonderfull pizza plaze inside of the brewery that is totaly fantastic. A light lager that is perfect with pizza. Thank you for a great show. Hugs from me in Sweden.
i came for pizzas stayed for the people, damm Rome is really rich.
It s one of real and only pizza schools : Roman! (the other one is Neapolitan). the American style is much more parented to Roman school.

Bonci in his smart car looks like the heavy from TF2 driving a go-cart lmao

11:44 The chef would say "homeland" and not "patriarch", indeed he said the italian word "patria".
SMASH THE PATRIARCH
15:45 ❤️🇧🇩 love from Bangladesh. A very proud moment for me.
Yes 😁😁😁
We love you guys. There is plenty of bengali immigrants in Roma, and they are all great people of heart and common sense..they are integrating very well with our society because they share a lot of values with us. Intelligence, humanity, education. We are very much alike. Big hug from Roma
I can't believe he knew the national anthem.
That instinctively brought a big smile on my face...Love from Pakistan.
You Banglas are good cooks.
Lmao nobody eats alone. Nowhere in the world. Food has always been a family thing
of course a lot of people eat alone, dont be silly pitufo, youve never been to new york or london I gather
Most def other countries besides Italy that has a love for eating and use food as a way to bring people together
Well, that's not true. The first michelin restaurant in the world is in my city Modena,Italy. And there are plenty of others in the list.

The Michelin food usually is very small portion food and expensive like a car and in the end you're still hungry....
Italy is the home of food. Sorry guys, but we have to admit. They have the best food in the world.
Can't say about people, but food. There's no doubt.
11:44 he didn't say patriarch but patria which is Italian for homeland. He just means the place where pizza was invented
yeah i caught that too how weird
The host of this show is so humble and eager to learn the art.
That bonci girl at 14:40 is gorgeous♥️
juan pablo right!??? Try to find her and keep me posted plzzzz
18:47 , you're welcome
Charles Deron currently not in italy...how'd i do that😢
juan pablo She is gorgeous
Deborah Meltrozo i'll eat her anytime
7:44, what an epic moment of humility.
He's basically saying don't elevate yourself to something that you're not. He understands that he does what he loves, but it's still just making pizza. That's why he was talking about being "honest."
N G I say that to myself, everyday.
Lord Niiro Meaning everyone today craves fame and adulation over happiness and honesty. His philosophy isn’t new, it’s just been forgotten.
Agree, humbling indeed.
N G mood for 2018

FANTASTIC EPISODE!!!!!! Special thanks to the guy who went to Rome and tasted so many different kinds of pizza and showed us.
Stayed in Rome in a hotel right across the alley from that bakery... went in about 15 times...never tried the pizza... now i need to go back.
There's just way too many tourist traps in Rome. Very hit and miss when I was there 15ish years ago(this was before the time of yelp/smartphones, so finding the good spots wasn't exactly easy back then). Good thing our hotel was located kinda off centre, because that's where we found the good spots.
They were also saying that in 20 years the quality has went up a lot in general.
it's pretty common in capitals worldwide to have tourist traps.... everywhere one has to scout hard to find the really good local places
re hash so true. Luckily we stayed with local Romans who took us to the outskirts of rome to eat at Restaurants where the locals ate
re hash yeah ALWAYS have a roman friend to guide you if you don’t wanna get conned
Even in NY it's full of shitty tourist places.
It's up to you to not be a tourist and look for the best there is.
