😮
@@Daniel_Batal .
Dude, your shorts have taught me more about Resolve than me reading hundreds of web pages and using it for over a year. I hate the tutorials that go five layers deep into the settings and use technical jargon. Just tell me "click this, slide that, done!" These are amazing! Thanks!
I’m the same way.
I tend to like simple instructions that make sense and I like to learn one thing at a time.
So, I guess that’s why I decided to make these videos this way 😁
A beginner who was overwhelmed with the color page is now very happy. Thanks!
Righteous 👊😎☮️
same!
It's a shame these are not getting more views. This is gold, Jerry! Gold! Thank you for your hard work on all these tips!
Perspective is a funny thing. Stay tuned!
holly molly, your shorts are GOLD, I hope you'll be rightFULLY monetized from them!!!
Exactly what I was looking for! All the other ones were jumping into how to actually do the color, not add nodes. Thanks!
Nice! Glad this was useful!
Wow!
Never fails to deliver!! Thanks Daniel!! \m/
Rock on! 🤘
This is what saved me rn. Thank you so much!!
You're welcome!
This is great because I don't use davinci resolve full-time, and some things are too difficult to learn, unless you put in the time. I just want to do basic colour editing, and this is enough for me. Thanks!
Very true!
This is mind blowing! Have you covered this in your full fusion tutorial. I didn't watch it as I thought i don't need fusion for my work
I don’t have a singular ‘full Fusion’ tutorial.
It would be 144 hours long.
I do have longer form tutorials that’s begin to break down the Fusion page more in depth, though
Great Help Daniel - thanks!
You're welcome! 🙏
So helpful, trying to make the jump from FCP to Davinci & the color tab has been the most daunting. Appreciate the post!
Glad it was helpful!
This is all i want to know, not some 30 mins long clip. 😂 thank you!!
Short and to the point! Hope it helped
You are simply the best. I like you personality no less. ❤
Wow, thank you!
Brilliant, just what I was looking for. Now I can easily make my videos look good in seconds, until such times as I learn the more advanced methods.
Great to hear!
Super useful! Thank you Daniel!
Great stuff, as always, Daniel!
Glad you enjoyed it!
this is so good OMG i did not know you could do that. ive been suffering in the color corrector tab while editing my group project LMAO
Great tip Mr Daniel
Hope it was helpful!
Thank you much! Dang this is fantastic for my quick run and gun! Way better than me add 3 freaking nodes lol
Just remember to do it first before you slice up your footage because it doesn’t copy/paste easily like the color page does
@@Daniel_Batal thanks again!
That was really helpfull 💪
Man these all video about davinci resolve is Literally Very Very Useful for me.. Love from India, kerala.. 🫂
Happy to help!
ur great man
☮️❤️
Nice very simple and easy
😲 you have entered Fusion 😂
⚠️ Danger! Warning! ⛔️
Ok I did this and made it into a preset but how to apply the same to all other clips?
Also how to apply this preset in future projects?
Love your work!!
If you wanted to do that, you’re better off color grading/correcting from the color page
Then you can either remote grade or copy/paste.

Thanks man! perfect
THANKS AGAIN
Gotta be honest, I don't even use da Vinci, I use premiere. I just love this guy's vibe 😂.
This guy thanks you 🙏
Very cool👍
Can you make more shorts like these
Here’s 162-> ruclips.net/p/PLsVDy3wGxbDA-pvAT1eH2_khEe0lDe90e&si=L9NoLlaPpoHvHyQK
Is it able set black and white effect to video?
Yup!
Love it can you add the link to the video
Link to which video…?
@@Daniel_Batal the link in the comments is no longer active while browsing shorts. In this video you speak about the fusion video that’s the one.
When you go directly to comments it looks like the link is active but, its not while looking at short videos.
Is it easier to use fusion for the simple stuff instead of jumping over to the color tab ?
Totally up to you. Use whatever workflow makes sense to you.
I need to know which colour space transform i need to select for insta360x3 video
Insta360 Log
nice one
Thanks! 🙏
What when at the play head position there's a clip above that clip I want to change? Fusion selects always the one on the top.
From the Edit Page, Right click the clip you want to work with and select “Open in Fusion Page”
@@Daniel_Batal Just came back to say you a big thank you! I've set it to a key - works amazing. And btw I had the "Clips" deactivated. With them "on" I can now easily choose them in their timeline - or have a group and color correct them together if needed with the middle mouse pressed like you showed. Thanks!
Hi Daniel, quick question... What is the learning curve for color correction or color grading like in Davinci Resolve. The only editor I've ever use is Camtasia. I'm a total newb when it comes to color editing. I'm looking to create videos on another channel. The videos will be mostly outdoors, nature that sort of thing. I want the scenery to pop!
Basic color correction is fairly simple to master. The advanced stuff obviously gets tricky.
I’ll be doing a dedicated color page video soon
@@Daniel_Batal Thanks for your reply 🙏
@@Daniel_Batal but it can be learned
Absolutely. Resolve has the best color correction available on the market
Whoah cool
Me: wtf davinci....wait this voice sounds familiar....it isn't Daniel from Filmora tutorials years back is it- OMG ITS DANIEL!!!!! :D
Ha! It’s me!
Great info always but for this one, I don’t get a color correction node once I click on fusion
Make sure you're using the latest version of Resolve. I'm currently using Resolve Studio 18.5 BETA
Hey I’ve seen you before hanging around vidiq (I think lol) I’m trying to switch from premiere to this and it’s a nightmare, how come whenever I apply any color changes, it doesn’t stay when I go back to the edit screen
Maybe TubeBuddy…?
I haven’t had that issue but I’ll see if I can recreate it.
What version of DR are you using and which OS?
@@Daniel_Batal maybe Roberto?😂 my bad, I get the whole industry mixed up sometimes
I also decided to switch back to premiere😔 it also told me my drivers were outdated and my drivers are all up to date so idk why but I’ve had hiccups the who time, thank you though!!
Im sorry but why use fusion page to color correct instead of the color grading tab?
Workflow.
Same reason I sometimes use the color page to add & animate a mask instead of the Fusion page.
Also, when I go back into the edit page the color correct it isn’t on the video
Make sure you’ve selected the proper segment.
You can toggle color correction on/off in the upper right of the preview window
Thank you for replying!!!! I can toggle between the before and after but when I click back to edit or render, the color correction is gone. I watched your other color correction video though so I just edited the color the other way@@Daniel_Batal
How do i copy paste these attributes to another clip , can someone helo me with this
If you’re looking to color grade many clips, do it in the color page and then you can copy and paste -> ruclips.net/user/shortsMk6peo7W0Yc?si=2BqzTKlmrPpGyu6I
@ thank you for the video , I just tried this and it did not work for me , is there any other alternate way
I never understood colour correction … everything seems fine to me
It’s something definitely worth looking into and learning as you advance as an editor.
If you’re just making point-and-shoot videos (for TikTok or home movies) don’t worry about it ☮️
Anyone else always join in with "for noobs" intro? - knowing fine well we are talking about ourselves 🤣
Ha!
Someone asked me to remove that.
I said, “No way! I’m still a noob!”
@@Daniel_Batal first few times i heard it i was like this is going to get annoying. But it catches my attention and prepares me for learning. Like a teacher saying "alright class today..."
I don’t get the two screen when I do that 😭
Icon in the upper right
Hello. But how do i know how to colour grade ? Xd
Start here-> ruclips.net/video/SkosqJfzEs0/видео.htmlsi=TGkUpissBQuDoGFL
this guy saved my whole fucking 15 mins which i was going to watch to learn if this didnt work
Hopefully it did.
Please explain to me why would you use fusion for grading inside Resolve instead of the color page!? That makes 0 sense to me - resolve is literally grading software. And this method is way slower than the alternative.
One thing I’ve leaned along the way is how I use software is not how everyone uses software.
My goal is only to show options. ☮️
@@Daniel_Batal I highly recommend getting acquainted with the color tab, and also color managed workflow (set the gammas from the settings panel instead of using color transform nodes).
Whyyy😭😭😭😭😊
Why not…?
WTF, that is AWESOME, thank you.
Right on, pal.
pretty coool indeed... can i do it im gimp?
Gimp is a photo editing software, not a video editing software
@@Daniel_Batal But what if you were wrong?
Wouldn’t be the first time. 😁
am ultra noob in davinci resolve 18
Me too
what’s her @ doe
(Seriously though this is exactly what I was looking for)
Can't find cineprint 16 how to edit with it plz show
The emulation? Did you purchase it?
With all due respect. It is far more effective to use the actual color page?
You can also just use the Cmd - d or ctrl - d shortcut to view the origional, or create a new version, or even view a gallery still.
This is far more complicated than nessesary, both in rendering and technique. Teaching people a backwards way to approach something that should be simple makes little sense.
While this is useful if you are needing to match additions to plates during VFX. But not for simple color correction.
With all due respect: The part you might not see is that this is a video for Noobs. Most beginners are completely lost by the color page. The biggest problem beginners have is that they get overwhelmed.
Now, you can argue that this is a useless feature but DR is the one who incoporated it, not me, and it's a very simple way for someone to quickly dial in brightness & contrast and simple color changes without having to dive into the world of the histograms if they aren't ready.
I appricate the reply Daniel, I did note that and do understand what you are getting. I do see the goal behind your approach.
It's personal opinion, but I would like to argue that that switching to the colour page may be easier. It defaults to the primaries tab and auto selects the first node and you can apply corrections right away which would be simpler than using the fusion page, adding a corrector and switching the viewing window. As you have the same controls as the fusion colour corrector present in the colour page.
Perhaps showing that and giving a basic overview of offset, contrast and sat may help viewers? It will also be easier for them to copy and paste their grades and make changes etc if they get better and revisit the project down the line.
Just some thoughts and genuine suggestions. If you still feel they are not valid I completley understand
Noobs😂😢
Ha! I’m the HNIC (Head Noob in Charge) 😜
