Hiya not dsure if you know but the link above is not for lift gamma and gain in davinci Resolve but for lightroom... just thought i would let you know buddy. could you post me the link to that video would love to check it out. Thanks. Simon,
Thanks so much for letting me know Simon! I've now updated that link so you should be able to click and head to the right place now! Cheers!
With the color space and input gamma should I use the settings you did? I shot on a BMPCC4k
is color editing avaliable in free version of da vinci?
Yea it is!
First color correction tutorial that doesn't start with "bro, stop making these beginner mistakes" and just gets into a nice lesson. Thanks.
Glad you liked it!
I know what you did there 😂😂😂
@@lanresingsvevo4870 Qazi wants to know your location
Sheesh tag his name already 😂
are you talking about Qazi 😂
Been trying to learn and teach myself Davinci but you just made it make SO MUCH SENSE in such a short amount of time. Thank you!
This program is amazing
Agreed!
It really is, I love it.
You just blew my mind! I'm just starting with grading in Resolve and have watched a ton of videos. This is the first one where the logic has been completely sound and the explanations clear enough to make feel confident in grading with this new platform. You're the man Dunna!
Feel you!!!
totally agree lol

Thanks dude!!
After watching so many other tutorials that just confused me, this was the first one that made everything easy to understand and follow along. Got great results from following your steps, thank you!
Thank you for this! I've been using Da Vinci for sometime but wasn't able to figure out colour grading. You explain it so clearly, showing the process along the way. Glad I found this!
Glad it was helpful!
This is the first colour correction tutorial I've seen that explains nodes! Thank you so much!
I just moved from PR to Davinci and for last few day i've been watching videos about Davinci, this video by far was the best. Thanks Dunna and looking forward to learn more from you.
Quick tip: If you work on a picture for more than 10min your eyes get used to it and do not notice the differences. That's why professional colourist suggest to do the primarily correction on the scoops.
I just started filming, I was looking for a video that was not too long, I know everyone has different methods to color grading but seeing you do it made it look easy. thank you.
I need to sit down and listen to the teacher. So interesting. On my way around my city. Thank you for the lesson.
Enjoy!!
Man, as someone who is new to this stuff, you did it very well!
from this video, i can see another perspective about color grading.
such an amazing technique!
Thank you!
The most helpful beginner tutorial color grading on RUclips! Thank you so much 😊
A Person Who Directly Started The Tutorial
❤
Just the video I was looking for! Started using Resolve a while back, but I'm still getting to grips with it. This was a huge help, man. Thanks👍
Awesome! Glad to help!!
I love how sensible Davinci Resolve is. Excellent video!
El mejor tutorial que e visto, no se como explicaste todo tan claro, e visto videos de una hora tratando de enseñar lo mismo que tu en 15 minutos, sigue haciendo videos asi pls.
I actually applied all the steps and it works wonders, thanks for showing this process! It is also versatile if you save and use it as a powergrade & only readjust some nodes for footage from the same location.
Yesterday I finally decided to jump from Premiere into DaVinci , so today was the first day and i dedicated it entirely to absorbing as much info as i could to have an understanding of it…From basic tutorials, to more advanced ones to see what features DaVinci has , to reading comments, people with different opinions and bringing up topics , looking up those topics , etc. Now 15 hours later back at your video and definitely having a much easier time folowing through the process, still overwhelmed but excited to get to work and keep going.
Great one ! Thank you for your help!
I've followed so many color grading tutorials, and I love my colors best with this one! Thank you!!!
I’m so glad to hear that!
Thank you for this! Love how clearly you explain it and love the finished grade. Been playing with grading for 6 months or so but can feel really overwhelming when there’s so many variations. Thank you!
I’m completely stunned. This is so amazing. Thank you for this nice tutorial!
This is exactly what I needed jumping into davinci!! Makes alot more sense, you beauty, new sub think i need to binge some more davinci tutorials of yours
wooow this is the greatest davinci colour grade video, you made it so simple, explained everything you did and why you did it, explained the nodes perfectly. Thank you
Thanks a ton!
Excellent I’m coming from Premier Pro I couldn’t deal with it freezing up all the time anymore. At first I didn’t like da Vinci because I was stuck on Premier Pro having used it for so many years, but after giving da Vinci a chance I’m never turning back I got the studio version and I absolutely love it. I never thought of color grading in such a creative way, but now it’s got me motivated to shoot more and really think about the post processing of color, no more dropping a LUT on it and calling it good. That’s awesome! Glad to hear it! I had a similar experience!

My pleasure!
thx so much. you are the only one who explained what I actually wanted!
Great to hear!
Very helpful video tutorial. Thank you!
I used to do the actual film grading for motion picture negative n positive with chemical processing. That was very very complicated. That process used to depend on A To Z color balance with mood n contrast correction. I found the same theme in your work flow. That is really very professional. Keep it up.
Wow! That would be super fun to learn and probably very tedious to do regularly haha. Thanks for the kind words about my process. That’s really cool that it resembles the real film process
@@dunnadidit thanks and I really appreciate your effort to educate us about the simple and efficient colour grading process. Keep it up.
