This is a really cool animation and story. Subways are really suitable for horror stories. I also included a subway in a horror story I wrote years ago. It was all burned and damaged like this model and it was carrying lots of killed people. Even though the driver was dead, the subway was still going slowly on its own, and stopping at the stations, even opening and closing its doors. All lights of the train were red, and the inside was a bloodbath. The universe of the story was about an entire dead world, and all the subways were like this.

But still though what if the damaged R142 train in real life itself was ever possessed by the soul of the train operator and controls it, that would be alot to take in or many questions to be answered how is it activated or a big mystery. The Traction motor sound on that R143 11:57 did sound creepy in this vid even with all that damage it had. Definitely combine films like Chirstine (1983), The Car (1977), Phantom Racer (2009), Maximum Overdrive (1986), and many more that involved vehicles being possessed.

You wanna know what makes this worse/better? The L train is my home line and I always ride to Rockaway Parkway on r143s. As a matter of fact, it's always been my home line. So seeing this is 100 times more creepier than it probably should be.

watching on lap top the subway car coming out of nowhere had me jump back from the screen. anyway this story reminded me of a story I read. some people at a train station after their train was detoured cause a train rolled off the tracks making the tracks unusable waiting for another train. the truth is that two of the passengers (who snuck out of the station) realized it was their train that had rolled off the track and the people inside were dead and the train station was abandoned and condemned.
Oops. A metal caused a fire on a line. The 4 R143 cars were horribly burnt beyond repair. They would be towed to 207th street yard for scrapping. However a switch malfunctioned at the scrapyard forcing the MOW locomotives to store the burnt R143s in a yard for the night. The cars somehow came back to life and began rolling on their own. Multiple lines were shut down for a search for the burnt cars. Some search crews went missing and others were found dead. The burnt R143 cars are probably still in the MTA Subway System looking for their next victims.

This was fantastic! This was incredibly well executed from all aspects from the editing to the writing, this was a great little horror film!
