- Welcome to vlogtober 2024, once again perfectly timed to coincide with the @StephenWest ‘Mystery Knit-a-long’ (MKAL).
This year’s MKAL kicks off on Thursday 3rd October so join me as we kick off vlogtober.

If you want to join in with the community collaboration with Irina from @Fiberchats , we’re hosting two zoom cast on parties this Thursday, 3rd October: at 1pm EST/6pm BST and 6pm EST/11pm BST.
Future Humans of Westknits MKAL Zoom knit together will be every Saturday and Wednesday in October at 12pm EST/ 5pm BST (except Saturday 19th).

I can see how excited you are for this mystery knit along by how you are jumping up and down on your feet. Just a little, but you are so happy and ready for this years knit along. I am too. Got the pattern last night as soon as it posted but haven't started it yet. Family and things have taken up my time so far. Plus I want to be able to sit for as long as I want to knit on it and not be interrupted! Tell you how excited I was for this to start. A few days before this was to start, I got on Ravelry and bought Stephen's Mosaic Musings Shawl pattern, wound up yarn and got that ready to make. Then, I opened a folder of patterns and in there was Stephen's Striation Valley Shawl pattern that I forgot I had! So now I'm looking for yarn for that one. I'm excited too, if you can't tell. Ok, if I finish a clue early and have time, I will be working on the Mosaic Musings. Loki is adorable!

Fage yogurt (unflavored), Hershey's caramel sauce, and fruit. This week, the fruit is a trifecta - strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. I also mix my collagen powder in the yogurt.
Switch your honey to "hot honey" - it will be a double chef's kiss

Re: yoga advice. At your age/body type, the vinyasa flow style isn't the greatest. Try more static: do one pose for X number of breaths, then move to another. Use plenty of props, don't try to br perfect or force your body into a shape it doesn't want to be. Most important...concentrate on your breath; anytime your breath is getting rapid or forced it's counterproductive. Easy in, easy out, enjoy feeling the body move. Anything that comes up in your mind "oh, isn't that interesting?"

Sames for the yoghurt! Except I’m pomegranate seeds instead of blueberries. Aldi do a pre-flavoured honey “Greek style” which I’ve just tried. It’s pretty good.

You should swap out the honey for some pure vanilla essence

Tips for yoga: just learn two simple poses well first. Don’t try to do too much. If you’re struggling with being flexible enough, do some of the more difficult moves for you in a warm shower or in a heated pool. The heated pool is a great way to extend your flexibility. Love yoga, so good for you.
You can 100% be an "HQ" if you want!
I don’t join in on the mystery knit along yet…my knitting skills are very much a new beginner, but I love watching the excitement of Vogtober! I don’t know if you have already done this, but I would love to see a video where you show how you hold the yarn as your knit. It feels so awkward to me (I’m a crocheter who is learning to knit), so maybe it is just going to be awkward? Any tips or tricks would be appreciated! Love the videos!

Crocheter that switched to knit as well. Continental style is easier transition, English isn't as intuitive after crochet

is their also 'Band' in octobre? and maybe a bit of context about your love for Wicked (when did it started, is it only this musical or are you a general musical-fan, and then the question; is it possible that you will be disappointed by the film)
