I remember asking Joe Walsh about Bill when my band opened for Joe in 2013 and his exact words were "Billy Frank is the man I owe my entire career too, he came to Ohio on a covered wagon with a mono machine to find me ". LOL!!! I got to spend about and hour talking to Walsh after sound check. Bill's work with the eagles and the Joe Walsh solo records are some of the best work I have ever heard as whole collective albums. They aren't just random songs put together they work perfectly one into the next like movie plot!

This guy is amazing - the tones he got on so many records are really something special.

Holy crap. I can’t imagine a world without strings on Thrill Is Gone and Frankenstein being called the ‘warm up song’ 🤯 between Bill and Terry Manning I think they are responsible for 99% of my all time favorite classic songs. Can’t wait for part 2!!!

Even though I will be the first to admit that I don’t always know what they are talking about in terms of technical aspects and gear, it is incredibly refreshing to hear two men have a conversation and virtually finish each other’s sentences because they know exactly what they are talking about. Fantastic interview! I would love to hear more about the recording of The Long Run and some of Bill‘s hidden gems dubbed “Random Victims” with the Eagles & J Geils. Bill did a fantastic job of miking all of the drums and getting the sound of space in the recording.
