Can't wait for the text analysis! This is arguably Nietzsche's most influential work

Yes. I feel like you need a solid understanding of this work in order to understand the rest. Excited to go deeper in the next videos.

@@WeltgeistYT Absolutely! The Genealogy is perhaps the most clear demonstration of Nietzsche's method of analysis.

Great video! Looking forward to the next part. I've read BGE (to be honest, gotta reread it, will take a look at ur videos now too!) and Thus spoke zarathustra is one of my favs! So true that he wrote for a minority, but now his writings all available for the masses! Wonder how he would react, haha.

I don't think he would be too happy... On the other hands, lots of his predictions came true.

There is still something I’m uncertain about, what is the basis for good and bad according to him? I can’t figure that out.

I think it’s that the noble aristocrats view themselves and what they do as good, and therefore people who are not like them are bad

One clue might be the common "coincidence" found in many languages:
The concepts of something being of high quality, being tasty and being moral all tend to share a word. In English, the word is "good".

Sa one strane dobra i zla i Genealogija morala definitivno. Ova druga naročito. Antihrist i Ecce homo takođe nisu loše. Ecce homo sadrži dosta autobiografije i ličnog osvrta na svoje glavne ideje životnog projekta. Što se samog Zaratustre tiče, svakako se suzdrži bar do drugog čitanja prije donošenja zaključaka :)

I highly recommend one of Nietzsche's other works like "the Dawn" or "the Joyful Wisdom" before undertaking Zarathustra. Perhaps reading only Zarathustra's prologue is a good start, but, after that, the work becomes very referential to earlier books and eludes immediate understanding.
Secondary literature is also very good, since a lot of scholarly books quote Nietzsche directly. ONe book I found absolutely key to aiding my understanding of Nietzsche is "Reinterpreting Modern Culture" by Paul van Tongeren. What was especially useful was his chapter on 'how to read Nietzsche', for Nietzsche says himself that he writes for a very specific set of readers.

I can also add Walter Kaufmann's "Nietzsche: Philosopher, Psychologist, Antichrist" to the list of recommendations.

Guys you're doing a hard job, but you need to work on the voice/sound(since it's so important in the type of videos you offering/working on), cuz it sounds like a robotic sound which is something less academic and kinda boring, remember you're in the beginning and there is a lot of hard work and challenging ups ahead, you you gotta be careful playing the game cuz you already got a lot of competitors, like school of life and others,
Again, what you doing is appreciated, you just need to improve your voice skills.

Thanks for the feedback. We're constantly trying to improve the quality but it's a bit of hit and miss. Trust me we're looking into it. Thanks for watching.

Disagree, I personally like the plain speaking style. The problem with School of Life and other such channels is that they only offer surface level explanations and come off as really patronizing. This channel is great for another niche, people who are studying philo at uni for example, and though I'm biased I think it would make more sense to appeal to them than to the general public.
Thank you Weltgeist and please don't change!
