    Hi Leigh, 100% agree!!! After 5 years, Genos is still the best arranger keyboard on the market and still has no significant competition! Not Korg or Ketron. I should know because I have both Genos and Korg Pa5x. If I can name any downside, it is the exterior finish.
    PS: I'm not ready for a new successor to Genos, this one still gives me satisfaction!!

    I can't agree more Mr Leigh Wilbraham, the Yamaha Genos as absolutely brilliant. The only thing I wish it had more is FreePlay Styles and lots of them as they seem to be such a great inspiration. I am soooo counting on Yamaha to bring out a new replacement for the Genos soon. Thank you so much for the brilliant review.

    Now that the new Yamaha Clavinova CVP-900 series is out, I have a hunch of believing that next will be a new flagship Workstation/Arranger keyboard at some point soon ... I am holding back and wait for the new flagship and mean whilst I keep enjoying the Yamaha CP88 and the Yamaha YC61. Yamaha simply ROCKS.

    Why do I have this feeling the Yamaha is just about to announce the all new flagship professional arranger workstation this month! Tomorrow being the six years on the day of the Yamaha Genos realise to the World. If my hunch is correct. is makes total sense for Yamaha to announce the new flagship at least two months before Christmas as that is when musicians and great fans of the unbelievable Yamaha Genos clubs would be spending there hard eared cash :) So Yamaha, if you are reading this, stop keeping your loyal fellow musicians what such anticipation much longer. As always Leigh, you are an ambassador for the Yamaha Genos and I believe that Yamaha should recognise your unwavering commitment of assisting all of us with such brilliant, informative information via your executive array of knowledge of the absolute beast. 🤣 If Yamaha does not comply with a new flagship, I will most probably have to go for the New Yamaha Clavinova CVP-909 ... Question if I may! Do you thing the Yamaha Clavinova CVP-909 have much from the Genos built it when it come to Style, Sounds and even RevoDrums? Please advise as it's not a cheap piano! LOL ...

    It will be 6 years old on the 2nd of October this year to be precise Liegh!. You are a million times correct in saying the mighty Yamaha Genos has not aged an inch for that matter and kudos to you in saying that others tried tirelessly to imitate if not steel Yamaha's brilliant concept of system layout and sound and styles and much say, they failed miserably ... Considering that Yamaha designs and produce almost most instruments being Upright pianos, Grands, hybrid, AvanGrand, Transonic, all kings of brass instruments and the list go on and on, so I say "Yamaha is certainly the most important companies in the World" Haven't even mentioned motorbikes, jet skies, Golf equipment and much more ... ease Yamaha make this working with Apple LogicPro as it is of paramount importance considering how many musicians use Apple Products for music production and composition.

    The really HUGE downfall of the Genos that has stopped me buying it is the fact you can’t get it in 88 keys with a more realistic Keybed. I tried the DGX 670 but the keybed is not realistic enough for someone of my level. I tried the Genos and the keys are too few for me. So ended up with a Roland FANTOM 8 because of needing the keybed to be at a professional. Such a shame as I love the Genos sounds and it’s purely this that’s stopping me owning one. Evening if they bring one out that’s £1000 more I would buy it just for the sounds mixed with a pro keybed.

    • @LeighWilbraham
      @LeighWilbraham  Год назад +2

      Why didn’t you buy one and use a piano midi controller with it. I doubt Yamaha will ever make a 88 note as it would compete with their clavinova line and also make the keyboard less portable which would be a huge negative.
