  • With FSLogix, you can mask applications based on Users, Groups, OU, Computers and registry settings. This video reviews specific of FSLogix and then applies app masking rules to a WVD host pool.

    Awesome video, how do you manage rules for a large organization. I assume there will be numerous rules for different departments. Is there any limit to how many rules you could create?

    What to do if you want an app to be available for only one group and not for the other groups?

    Do you have to make a rule for each individual app? Can you not make a big rule list for a specific user group?

    Great video! I'd love to see one on MSIX App Attach for WVD as well, if possible!

      Great suggestion! it's on my list. Unfortunately, that list just keeps getting longer.

    Hi @Travis When selecting an application is there a way to unc to your application server and select the application you wish to hide? When I try this I get invalid path specified. Please choose a valid local path.

      I do not wish to install every application to my FSLogix Profile Management Server.

    This was helpful and doing a test like hiding Chrome is working for me but I'm trying to use it to set up some default file associations via adding registry keys but no matter what I try it never actually adds the keys. Any thoughts?

    Would it be possible to setup an azure automation to deploy the rules?

    • @Ciraltos

      Yes, a Watcher Task could be used to monitor the source directory and update the destination locations when they change.

      @@Ciraltos Another great video, keep up the good work. A question about using automation account, assuming we used a blob storage account to be monitored and when a rule was added it would copy to hostpool vms, what would happen if the vms were to scale out, as mentioned in your Auto Scaling WVD video?

    Does this work in case the user do not have fulldesktop access but only have access to remoteapps?

    • @Ciraltos
      @Ciraltos  3 года назад +1

      I haven’t tried that. If a use only has a published app, they won’t have access to any other application. But given the way remote applications work, I believe that it would still work.

      @@Ciraltos I tested it and it worked, however the user would still see the icon which will not be accessible due to the app mask rule.
      Thanks for responding.

      You can create multiple App Groups and assign User Group they would not see the apps in the Workspace
