Thanks for doing my request Mike. Guy is one of our younger Aussies and although I'm in my mid 50s and grew up with Cold Chisel and the like, our younger artists deserve the recognition. Thanks for knocking this out so quickly and I hope you enjoy your coffee. From an Aussie chick to an honorary Aussie Texan have a good one 👍🏻 😊
Guy is an exceptional artist who writes about 'real life' and Thank You Mike for your 'reaction'. This song can also include many other forms of battle scars, abuse, violence, mental health, bullying, etc etc. Guy's Sebastian Foundation is running a 'free program' in hundreds of schools across Australia called 'Open Parachute' thousands of students are struggling with mental health issues following Covid etc and the harsh changes in our society. It's free and peer driven. i'm thrilled you've been introduced to Guy... He has just completed 20 years in the music industry...and still making hits. Loving your Channel mate

Wonderful information. Your descriptions of folks standing in their driveways because of COVID and still recognizing their warriors made my eye water up. Thanks for taking the time to tell this old Texan your story!
Even in the psych unit I work in a handful of patients made us wake them at dawn and they stood in the courtyard with us nurses. I was so proud of the patients considering how sick some of them were 😊
Guy's one of the best singer/songwriters on the planet. His official video of 'Get Along' is really worth a watch. 'Choir' 'Before I go' and 'Standing with you' are a just a few great songs. Guy sang in church when he was young and had a christian upbringing. He and his wife Jules have formed the Sebastian Foundation in 2013 which has undertaken work in ten services for young girls, domestic violence shelters, hospitals, music therapy, mentoring programs for teenagers, women who have experienced domestic violence and more.❤
Guy Sebastian is such a lovely guy. There's a video on RUclips of him doing a surprise visit to a school choir that is learning his song - Choir. Then another one where the choir surprises him at the movies. So wholesome
You've unearthed another Aussie gem. The Guy Sebastian bunny burrow is deep and filled with many such gems. Happy digging! You'll find people will recommend his live videos because they showcase his raw talent as both a singer and songwriter without the help of auto cue and production tricks. A great example is Before I Go, sung in a radio show: ruclips.net/video/ALcJlaAmCBE/видео.htmlsi=3pgAfaOLPb2rmh-5
The original release with rapper Lupe Fiasco (US) was great version as well - I also love his songs 'Believer' and 'Standing with you' and 'Get Along' - his songs have great messages - great songwriter, musician and singer
So Guy Sebastian became famous through the first season of Australian Idol, he took the W of that season. his music over the years has grown leaps and bounds as he has matured. The runner up of that season is also an amazing aussie singer, Shannon Nolls.. If you do decide to check him out, look at his cover of "What about me" or "Dont give up"

Guy is an amazing artist and his voice is phenomenal. This song was originally recorded as a duet with Lupe Fiasco and did ok on the US charts. The verses are the rap part by Lupe. Its great with Lupe, but this version is more raw and heartfelt. So many great songs by Guy, he is a fantastic human as well!
Hey Mike another great reaction to a song, once again off my playlist ,,,LOL, I am also an ex Australian Defence Service Member with in the Armoured Coup, we are of similer age with similer experiences and it is quite weird to me the people can connect from a different parts of this planet and have music bringing us to share a common interest,, Music. I understand you are concentrating on , however we see that you love your truck, are you a car guy , would love to see a walk around the exterior, was it your Dads or Grandfathers??? are you into car racing or sports ?? only if you are ok with sharing that. Cheer Paul
On the contrary ,Veterans need to know there are a lot of us out there willing to lend an ear if they Just Reach Out for it . They need not put themselves in a segregated corner over the misconceptions experienced from an ignorant few . The average civilian will never truly relate to emotional scaring , or to the torment of displacement that our Serviceman and Women can endure , but what we can do is simply be available for companionship , show a little understanding for those that are out of sorts and lend an ear when it's needed . Irresponsible Governments may fail them sometimes with their rehabilitation or re climatisation back into civilian life , but a lot of Civilians "won't" . Any one of us that are mature enough to cherish our freedoms and realise how they came about , will respect what our Militaries do . Time doesn't heal all wounds , but it can make them manageable . Just reach out Boys and Girls - We Are out there 👍🇦🇺
I am loving this Tour of Aussie music you are going through!!

Guys lyrics never fail. He speaks right from his heart
Guy not only has an angelic voice but is also a brilliant sing writer. He always gets to the heart of an issue and puts it into words and music.

G'day mate
Yes anzac is l I ke your veteran's day
Anzac stands for Australian New Zealand Army Core
Anzac day is a public holiday where the vets are at the memorials with anyone who wants to go
We pay our respects for the fallen and they recire and read our the names of those who sacrificed everything
Every town and city has them and rsl halls
But in big city and bigger towns after the ceremony at crack of dawn as its the time they stormed the beach
Everything will line the streets so they can march so who are unable to due to injuries are pushed in wheel chairs or in military vechiles
For the public to cheer and clap and acknowledge their sacrifices
We take our kids to these events at a very young age to teach them
We not celebrating war but for those who died to allow us to live the way we do today
Also most families born here throughout the generations of earliest times have atleast lost one family member
If not more we've lost 2 one in early war never came home buried over their and uncle returned from Vietnam
But died later from things he believed they where subjected to agent Orange out of his battle who made it back
There'd be less then a handful left rest have died young he was in his 50s and unfortunately died on operating table trying to buy him a couple months so he could get to see he military family and say hes goodbyes but didnt happen
So its a important day for our country for the majority as unfortunately some now in government's are trying to destroy everything western societies as you and Europe all having the same issues even trying to destroy our flag
But as you see by this its still alive and strong for now for us true blues and even many migrants attend the ceremonies in respect
Which is nice to see
This was done by guy because first timr ever we where forbidden due to covid lockdowns
So guy wrote the song and played it from his home studio with the help of radio station to play it on
Most Aussie's still celebrated anzac day at crack of dawn they stood in their driveways and yards listened to radio
The media was shock as they drove around the streets to see so many standing in yards and driveways
My belief is why Aussie's didn't disobey the order to stay at home is it would've been disrespectful to the anzac
If we ended up in a fight with the government's servant's as its the anzacs day of acknowledgement not a political view
We can do that on another day
So we showed our respected anyway by going outside even if some wasn't the recommended distance appart
Cheers mate and we always end with less we forget as the returning soldier's told their dying mate they never let them be forgotten as long as their alive and now family members can march in their place with the metals but not uniform to tell the civilians from military as its now for all military ceremony to keep it alive even after their gone its up to us not to forget or the next generations to come so less we forget is how we finish the ceremonies
Shout out to all who had to fight and in armed forces for your sacrifice and your families as well includes doctors nurses as just as bad for them as well and get forgotten quite often but they all get to march as well and medical vechiles used during march
Cheers mate 🦘🇦🇺👍
