Wonderful quiet but powerful movie.
Two excellent actors in a ‘solid film’. Their chemistry is solid☮️❄️
We love jessica chastain and peter sarsgaard
aaaaaaaaaaaah I LOOOOOOOOVE Peter Sarsgaard. yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarg!
How could anyone ever stop hugging him?
Love Jessica- loved her in TheHelp
At first i thought it would be depressing, however its a beautiful film about broken people putting the pieces of the past together with each other, and finding a present now. Loved it ❤
My grandfather had Alzheimer’s. Two years after he passed away. My grandmother had dementia.
Press and hold in the volumn up and down buttons for 10 seconds, the video comes in more clearer.
The female guest didn't hug Alyssa. Yesterday Tracey Ellis Ross didn't hug her either. I don't know if anyone noticed or not.
Its combination of her position at the end, young and not in the entertainment business.
I noticed that too and rewatched it. She hugged around and squeezed her hand--she wasnt slighting her . I rewound the video because that isnt Jessica to be like that......I think it was a time issue to get her seated go back and watch....also it could be that some of the panel may say hi in the dressing room and they already hugged......Wouldnt read too much into it.
Change the name of this show to: "Whoopie's Kool-aid Stand"
I love Peter since Kinsey. But Maggie needs to make him work out a little bit, he looks saggy which is a shame because he is one of the best looking Hollywood actors around.
My husband’s Aunt had Alzheimer’s.
8 minutes standing ovation is over the top and shows what a vacuous, pretentious industry this is, everybody kissing everybody else’s behind.
Were you there?
How do you know?
How can you be so negative?
People can have fun in their life and love their job
Nah, you're just a philistine who lacks taste. It's not uncommon for some films to receive a long standing ovation at certain prestigious festivals. It's not even connected to Hollywood. I sincerely feel bad that you weren't properly inculcated.
8 minutes is overkill. That’s just people continuing on for the sake of it. Nobody legitimately congratulates someone for 8 minutes.
Such negativity
How are you an authority on this?
@@christineputman4850 So you’re gonna argue that it’s completely normal to give an 8 minute ovation? Do you know how long 8 minutes is? After 60 seconds, it’s no longer a legitimate congratulations and it’s just “let’s see how long we can keep it going for”.
It’s a film festival. Ovations are part of it. Pan’s Labyrinth received a 22 minute standing ovation at Cannes. The longest ever.
@@signalfire15 Well, that’s my point. They’re just doing it to be ridiculous. Nobody stands and claps for that long unless they’re just trying to see how long they can go for.
@@bonanimathambo8721 I guess so. That’s a part of it. My high school did a competition between the grades so we did clapping / ovation for 20 minutes before but it’s because we were hyping our grade up.
Wait, how did that crappy scene from a crappy movie Get an eight minute standing ovation? #Hollyweird😂
Chastain has been promoting this movie 24/7 for months........it looks like a great film but dont know when she sees her two little kids......yesterday alone she did 5 press events........the promotion of this movie is excessive and nonstop........at this point they are overkilling it with the amount of promotion......Most people arent going to go to the theater to see a film about dementia and memory and more than likely will see it on streamer, so all the promotion must be for Jessica's drive to get award noms..........
The amount of promotion of this movie is costing the film investors tenfold what is cost to make this flick............Chastain isnt sleeping all she is doing in promoting this movie......looks like good movie but she needs to fear people tiring of her hawking all the time....
Not everyone watch the view for example so she need to be in multiple shows to reach bigger audience.
@@200555280 I understand that but ultimately is all going to a streaming provider and wont last in theaters but a week or two so it is alot of promotion for something that is going to end on streaming..........they are championing for award nominations at this point..........
You answered your own question. "Most people aren't going to see a film about dementia." Yeah, which is why she's promoting it. Sure, a certain amount of people who don't like to be challenged by film and don't really care about art will never be convinced but guess what? Some will. When you're proud of a piece of work, you want as many people to see it as possible.
Peter Sarsgaard definitely has more promotion. but why you don’t mentions about him? plus every movie is doing promotion before it’s release. Every movie deserves to be promoted, especially one as good but perhaps unknown as this one
