Beautiful video! The scenery in Glen Shiel looks absolutely stunning, especially with the clear autumn weather. A’ Chralaig, Mullach Fraoch-choire, and Ciste Dhubh are such impressive peaks, and the addition of Am Bathach makes this loop look like an incredible day out. Really enjoyable to watch!
Hello, Really glad you enjoyed this one, as you saw, it was a stunner. It's a route we have completed a few times and it's very enjoyable and certainly doable. It's also a route you can easily shorten as condition develop on the day. Many thanks for watching. Cheers
Another great video Charlie and what stunning views you got on the day. Of all the Kintail hills A’ Chralaig and MFC were my favourites….take care, Steven 😊
Hi Steven, We did indeed had a cracker and we just didn't want it to end. There are so many super tops in this area it's hard to choose a favourite. We've a walking week planned for May next year in the area and we'll certainly get around the a few of the tops again 👍 Cheers
What a stunning day for your hike Charlie & Mike. Fantastic views with great light. You made the ascent of the 3rd Munro and Corbett look easy 👍 ATB Derek
Hi Derek, Its a route we've completed before so we had a good idea of what to expect. The cracking conditions help when trying to extent the day for as long as possible. Just superb... Cheers
Fantastic video of a fantastic area Charlie. Good to see young Michael out with you again.lovely circuit Charlie, love the scramble up to the 2nd munro and my fav out of them is the 3rd Ciste Dubh, loved the shot of Mike walking up to the summit of the 3rd. Great views in all directions. Well done again ATB Frank
Hi Frank, Its such a stunning area with the majority of the peaks having something special about them. Ciste Dhubh is certainly up there but it's hard to pick out a favourite from this whole area if you include Glen Affric. The shot of Mike heading for the 3rd Munro was stunning and my initial thumbnail but I opted for the summit view with the two M's. I enjoyed your latest bike&hike upload on Ben Lui, very nice and a special day to remember. Take care. Cheers
Hi Charlie, what a cracking day for it. A great part of Scotland there. I've had some great walks there, Mullach Fraoch was my 50th Munro, which l did with Paul. Its a bit frustrating seeing these lovely days and being stuck down here!!! Good to see you out and about. ATB Andy
Hi Andy, As you say, its a terrific part of Scotland and when the weather is like this its an absolute joy. I can understand your frustration as November is turning into a settled month. Hopefully, not too long before you're heading north again. Take care. Cheers
Hi 45ltr, We've had a few soakings in Glen Shiel but like you always managed to enjoy the outings, it's just magic to visit an area with Munros hanging over the roadside. Cheers
What a fantastic day you had. Superb views, stunning. I really like the Glen Shiel and Kintail areas. No walk in for the mountains, out of the car and steep ascents very quickly. Great video.
Hi Jonathan, I have to admit, I do enjoy the short walk in mountains and Glen Shiel certainly delivers on that one. It's such a terrific area with many walking options. Many thanks... Cheers
Hi Charles, Thank you. When conditions are like this you certainly want to try and maximise the day. It was just a joy and probably one of the best weather days through this year. Cheers
Hey Charlie, cracking video as usual, and good to see the trio back in action, love the golden colors on the hills at this time of year, Mikes cairn climbing skills look to be advancing 🙂 All the best, looking forward to the next one.
Hi James, I may need to start carrying a ladder if he keeps this up 🤣 Glen Shiel in these conditions is pure magic. Unfortunately, the camera struggles to capture the scale or grandeur of the landscape but I suppose that's why we get up and get out. Cheers
What stunning views, thanks for sharing your adventures, 'wee bit more challenging in winter conditions....' 😊, I'll say! I second your level of fitness, inspirational!
Hi Mark, Really glad you enjoyed our latest outing. It was a cracker an in conditions that were better than days during the summer. Many thanks. Cheers
What a superb tour and such great views. This hike will be on my bucketlist for Scotland next year (but a shorter version of your hike). Thanks for sharing this incredible video Charlie. Cheers Wolfgang
Hi Andy, A circuit like that doesn't feel quite as tough when the conditions are like this. It's also great at trying to keep the hill fitness going for the season ahead. Cheers
Hi Brian, Yesterday was always looking settled so it was great getting a bit further north for a change. The day, was probably one of our best weather outing through the season. Cheers
HI Charlie, Hi Mike, wow what a red letter day you had for it there, absolutely stunning views as far as the eyes could see, amazing. All the best gents.
Hi Dave, Yes, the forecast was a stick on so decided to travel a bit further and enjoy Glen Shiel in Autumn colour. An absolutely cracking day and one saw one other walker all day. Cheers
Always a good day when a new video appears! I was on Ciste Dhubh recently on the way up to Skye but we didn’t get the conditions you did. Nor did we attempt to do 2 others that day. Kintail is just stunning and the film confirms that. Thanks again. Best wishes Murdo
Hi Murdo, Its a good way to pick off Ciste Dhubh as a single as your passing through. It's a cracking walk regardless of your route option. It's such a bonnie top and always a joy to visit the smallest cairn in Scotland. Take care, Cheers
Hi Stevie, It was worth the effort to travel a wee bit further than normal and it turned out to be one of those days you didn't want it to end. The conditions and light throughout the day was spectacular. Cheers
That was really quite something, Charlie. The first two are on my list of possibles for next year (last done round about 1990/91). I won't be tackling the four! Awesome time!
Hi Robert, I'm sure you'll certainly enjoy a repeat visit to these two and I hope you get similar conditions. Glen Shiel is an absolute joy when its like this. Cheers
An excellent walk for you in stunning conditions. I admire your fitness! I was walking the south side of Loch Affric at the same time, it was a glorious day.
Hi frpaul, Was that not a glorious day to be out on the hills and there was a benefit of being inland as I noticed the coastal tops were picking up cloud through the day. Really hope you had a day to remember 👍 Cheers
Hi Kev, Yes, Tuesday was always looking like a cracker for the weather so decided to travel a wee bit further than normal and were rewarded for the effort. Glen Shiel takes a bit of beating 👍 Take care. Cheers
I've always been a lurker on the channel Charlie, but had to comment on two points. The fitness you and Mike have is incredible, secondly the views you had were to die for.
Hi Willam, Many thanks, really glad you enjoy our uploads. We certainly enjoy the benefits of keeping the hill fitness going although we are slowing as the years roll on. The one thing you can say about winter days is that the natural side light is generally terrific on days like yesterday, its a photographers dream 👍Cheers
Bloomin heck. Two major ascents in one day, not to mention November (short days to boot). I found with the Munros that it was these isolated peaks, such as Ciste Dhubh, that I had to set aside for a separate climb as they could not be fitted in with a ridge walk. Good examples are Sgurr Eilde Mor in the Mamores and Mullach nan Dheiragain in the Affics. You must be really fit. The only time I ever did two major ascents in one day was Ben Hope then Ben Klibreck ( a glorious day in September), but then I had work the following day, and yes I was exhausted.
Hi Malcolm, Yes, not a normal grouping but great getting the extra legwork. We've completed this route a few times now so we had a good idea of what to expect. The excellent conditions also give you a wee boost to keep going and prolong the day as long as possible. All good stuff... Cheers

Looks absolutely stunning as always thank you - bring on the snow
Hello, Yes, that would be nice. A bit of in condition snow would be the icing on the cake 👍 Cheers

Beautiful day out on these 4 Charlie.
Hi Andy, Yes, it was a cracker. Many thanks. Cheers
Looks amazing , love that area..
The clarity looked great, all it was missing was a touch of snow on the tops 😍😅
Hi itsablack, Yes, that would certainly have been the icing on the cake 🤣 Many thanks. Cheers
Can't bet it, a cracking day in the hills
Hi Barrie, Yes, one of those days you just didn't want to end 👍 Cheers
You two are machines x We took three days to do those. Beautiful video xx
Hi Patricia, Thank you. When the weather is this good you just don't want the day to end quickly.... just magic. Cheers
did these on the same trip but on separate days ,in the rain , still enjoyable though , well done guys

Epic effort Charlie - you and Mike trailblazing new routes and combos. Well done. 👏
Hello, We fancied walking through as much of the daylight as possible, particularly in the stunning conditions. Many thanks for watching. Cheers
What a superb day out. I can appreciate with those conditions it was well worth the extra effort to stay high and link those two groups. Great video.
Hi Charles, Thank you. When conditions are like this you certainly want to try and maximise the day. It was just a joy and probably one of the best weather days through this year. Cheers
Fantastic images of the hills, especially in the morning. Great video.
Hello, Yes, the light was terrific and makes for some stunning images. Many thanks for watching. Cheers

Welcome back Charlie absolutely stunning walking blessed with beautiful autumn sunshine how lucky are you looking forward to your next video 😀 👍
Hi Philip, Thank you, glad you enjoyed this one. The low winter sun gives some terrific light throughout the short day. Just magic.... Cheers
What a wonderful day and superb vista of peaks in all directions ❤I must say you are very fit that’s a tough circuit well done Andy
Hi Andy, A circuit like that doesn't feel quite as tough when the conditions are like this. It's also great at trying to keep the hill fitness going for the season ahead. Cheers

''That's not a natural grouping''😂. Great effort, got to make the most of days like that.
Hello, "That's for sure" but great exercise for the legs 👍We've done that route a few times now and it doesn't get any easier 🤣 Cheers

Jeezo 😳🥴
Hello My darling, Not bad for a couple of old farts with only two good knees between them. Unfortunately I don't have either of them.... 🤣Xxx
