You can never go wrong with a bob. It would be worth the 45 minute drive just to have someone so talented and down to earth do your hair. I can't wait to see the end result once your layers in the back grow out. I love the color and that shade of blonde makes hazel eyes pop!

Chris is the exception. He has a talent and skill to get colour and cut right!! Not many can do this. It’s normally a conveyor belt of everyday colour and cut, with no real insight into individual styles? It’s hugely important to distinguish between cool and warm tones. I just absolutely loved what he said about having a hairstyle so that when you look at a photo of yourself in 15 or 20 years time you still loved your hair then - you will feel happy with how you look. Classic shapes of hairdressing with a modern twist. I like how he is not over the top. Very sweet and humble about his craft and skill. Since I like to change things up I can always get a new slightly different look. I’m honest and always express how lucky I am to have 3 talented stylists when most people struggle to find one.

I know we're all always wanting to update ourselves, but honestly that hairstyle just rocks on you, Dominique. Hits you right at a great angle. Whenever I see that kind of cut, I always want to cut my hair, but I look like awful in short looks. You're indeed blessed with your gorgeous looks. I love the blonder looks with the depth.
This just makes me want to cry. I can’t even watch this “ how to leave the salon with what you want”. Yesterday makes the latest gut- punching trip to a salon,one of the best in my city. Brought photos clearly showing the inverted bob I’ve had for years to a veteran stylist. It’s not an avant-garde cut anymore!! What I left the salon with is nothing close, not even the length I specifically asked for, which was more than doable. I am so sick of the dishonesty of stylists who, rather than say, I’m so sorry, that cut is not a strength of mine, they give you their poor approximation. $215 wasted except for the nice colour. I don’t know what more i can do.🤬
I know what you mean girl. The last time I went to a salon I came out with the hair cut of a man and I told her " please don't cut it really short, I don't want to look like a man" that's exactly what I got- a man's haircut 😞😖
Do you have a friend or work colleague with a cool style you like, I always get stylist recommendations from people I have asked - “ who does you hair?” And it has pretty much always worked well for me. Also a lot of salons showcase their work on Instagram, maybe check what cuts or colours they showcase on there to help you decide if you like their style of cutting and colouring, maybe show them a pic of what they’ve done on another client of theirs and see if it might be suitable on your hair type? Good luck and hope you find a stylist who can put that spring in your step when you walk out of their salon.

As a stylist I would say that honesty is the best policy. People need change and we understand that. The hardest part of losing a client is that we often lose a friend. Keep the friendship even if you make a change, that way we all win :)

This just makes me want to cry. I can’t even watch this “ how to leave the salon with what you want”.
Yesterday makes the latest gut- punching trip to a salon,one of the best in my city. Brought photos clearly showing the inverted bob I’ve had for years to a veteran stylist. It’s not an avant-garde cut anymore!! What I left the salon with is nothing close, not even the length I specifically asked for, which was more than doable.
I am so sick of the dishonesty of stylists who, rather than say, I’m so sorry, that cut is not a strength of mine, they give you their poor approximation. $215 wasted except for the nice colour. I don’t know what more i can do.🤬

I know what you mean girl. The last time I went to a salon I came out with the hair cut of a man and I told her " please don't cut it really short, I don't want to look like a man" that's exactly what I got- a man's haircut 😞😖

Do you have a friend or work colleague with a cool style you like, I always get stylist recommendations from people I have asked - “ who does you hair?” And it has pretty much always worked well for me. Also a lot of salons showcase their work on Instagram, maybe check what cuts or colours they showcase on there to help you decide if you like their style of cutting and colouring, maybe show them a pic of what they’ve done on another client of theirs and see if it might be suitable on your hair type? Good luck and hope you find a stylist who can put that spring in your step when you walk out of their salon.

I love Chris Jones! he really knows waht he is doing, wish I could get my hair done by him..I have had the WORST haircut ever 2 months ago, and it still looks like caca..no joke..will take a year to grow out ..wahhhhh...love your new color!

As a stylist I would say that honesty is the best policy. People need change and we understand that. The hardest part of losing a client is that we often lose a friend. Keep the friendship even if you make a change, that way we all win :)

What a great stylist he is! The Bob is a favorite of mine. I noticed in the pictures of his work that the lines are so straight and blunt, exactly what I like. He does beautiful work! Can't wait see your hair length get to that Bob look Dominique!
