As a Gixxer 250 owner I can tell you that this is one of the best machines i have ever ridden. You really have to ride one to see for yourself. No low end torque like the himalyan? It also won't be out of its breathe at 120+ kmph. No aggresive power delivery like the adv 250? It also won't stall or overheat like the ktm. And this is the first time I have ever seen someone criticize a bike for having brakes that are too good. I would rather have sharp brakes and learn to master them then have spongy ones and wait for a mishap to happen. Yes this is not an off-road machine but neither is the adv 250. You are completely bashing this bike because it's not good at hardcore off-road which most people barely do 10% of the time but the remaining 90% of the time i.e city's and highways this bike is much better than its competitors.

I've seen your other videos, which seems good. Take this as a feedback. Comparing this to Himalayan is just not the right comparison. Himalayan is an off roader and this is a sports tourer the actual rivals for this are KTM adventure 250, Honda 200x, TRK 251 which belongs to sports tourer. It does hold the name Vstrom like the big bikes which are phenomenal machine s, even they don't have ground clearance of Himalayan.
All I wanted to convey is, know what the product is designed for and judge on those points alone.
I agree that Suzuki could have done a lot with this, especially with longer suspension travel and better low and mid range but I guess that was not in their minds like any other Japanese brands in India. They all just wear ADV body under the commuter bikes.
But, in it's class, this is the best quality soft roader money can buy today. No rattles, feels rock solid and comfortable until road gets really bad.
I'm not a Suzuki fan boy, never owned one, I just test rode the bike and I feel It's one of the best in it's class.

Consider this...it comes cheaper than than ktm 250 adv..less heating and electronics to go wrong...faster and much more refined for highway cruising than himalayan and yezdi (more important than proper off-roading for most people)...light weight and easy to handle...comfortable tourer...tall seating for commanding view of the road..head turner....comes with 19 inch front tyre, 205mm ground clearance ..so better for rough terrains than street bikes
If you think of it as a sports tourer instead of an off roader..its hard to fault this thing....infact the tubed tyres on spokes on hardcore off roader are bigger deal breakers for most due fear of puncture and immediate deflation in middle of road. The very same reason you criticized about the continental GT and Interceptor..

This is not a Gixxer 250 with fairing
Suzuki also has offers going on which cut the price difference (variable, it's 10-15k right now)
    1. Swingarm is longer, lever arm is longer makes the suspension "softer"
    2. Riding position is completely different. Gixxer 250 is small and puny, Vstrom you feel like you are on a horse
    3. There are pros and cons to each and everything. Himalayan has a Long stroke motor which is good for low speeds and sucks at higher speeds. The overtaking test was BS since we could not see the speed. This motor will not stall at lower speeds like KTMs, it is tractable.
Somehow he doesn't bring up the fact that there are very less negatives with this bike, it won't leave you stranded. it's got tubeless tyres. it is not heavy so you can push it around on a parking lot. People are quick to point out "Master of adventure" but fail to give the same treatment to Himalayan.

Suzuki already said on their launch of the bike , it is an adventure sports tourer , it is not a hardcore off-roader. So the main competitor is KTM 250 adventure.
I don't know how you made a judgement with pathetic overtaking without a single vehicle on road and freezed speedometer😂
Some mistake i found in your review.
    • No competition with Himalayan or yezdi adv.
    • Gixxer 250 engine is known for their midranges and almost equal distribution of power which is good for touring and do some off-roads.
    • the chassis is same bt its subframe has extended.
    • longer wheel base has provided which is essential for stable offering
    • 19 inch wheels and they are narrow.
    • Avg mileage of a normal Gixxer 250 is 35kmph. So it will be same from being unchanged.
    • 35mm increase in seat height.
    • Spoke wheels are not essential for a ADV tourer in this segment.
    • for 30k extra it got bigger and better console , well built ADV fairing , modified sub frame , bigger wheels , some practicality features like usb type charging socket.
Actual cons i found relevent on your review.

@@ashishdash3333 The V-Strom SX is not an off roader Just because you don't ride off road, doesn't mean others don't. I turned my 200 Duke into a scrambler in the original definition, not in aesthetics. I have high profile tyres on it with stiff sidewalls, a bash plate, Adventure foot pegs and handlebar risers. Even with 150 mm suspension travel, the front suspension bottoms out hard when I start to pick up speed on one of the nearby trails or when I hit a small crest or trench. The bash plate has taken two hits, one of which cracked open a weld but its ground clearance is reasonable at about 200 mm because of the high profile tyres.
Your statement holds true for those riders that hardly ever ride off road. Not for those that actually do.

This bike suits your use case well and there are many others who will be happy getting one too. I was commenting from my perspective and something like a Himalayan or Scram is more suited to my riding style. But it is unfortunate that Suzuki did not give this bike more suspension travel because it has got everything else right - decent performance, Japanese reliability, good looks and a reasonably light kerb weight. If it had long travel suspension, I would have bought one by now!

    Love from Kolkata,
But just a viewer opinion, suzuki never said its an off roader, It's an tourer. The purpose it's built for, vstorm just nails it. Build quality and reliability are up to the mark. Being a gixxer 155 naked owner I know the trustworthy nature of a suzuki machine. This 250cc engine is just sits in the optimum spot in terms of performance, mileage and dependability.
As a tourer vstorm is just an underrated champ because people wants unwanted hardware, thanks to the marketing persons of other manufacturers who are successfull in selling unwanted products by showing costly not necessary products.
Suzuki products are no nonsense, having no unnecessary features, just the machine and you with the trust between.

I myself live in uttrakhand and can bet that any bike can handle himalayan roads as roads are very nice here a known fact is that himalayan and ktm adv spend almost 90% of their life travels in highways & mild offroad patches.
Also if one wants he can take this bike to laddakh for sure as roads as BRO has made good roads there and have seen alto and eco easily handling those few bad patches so a bike like this can easily handle that.
With Himalayan and Yezdi one always has that reliability issue in long rides but not with this bike, it will give u stress free travel and lightweight will give u the confidence and bike will be more in control even in offroad conditions.

After owning the Vstrom 250 and clocking 13000 kms within one year, lemme give everyone one clear picture of the motorcycle.
This person is high on some cheap shit.
The Vstrom has an excellent low end, its so torquey, u leave the clutch and touch the trottle it responds so well!
Its so damm torquey, there's no flat spot in the power delivery.
Suspension is slightly stiff, yes thats one disadvantage.
Its an extraordinary handler I'd say better than most street motorcycles, seat is phenomenal in terms of comfort, practical, fast, fun, efficient, so reliable, sooo light and so Torquey and also has good power.
For me after riding it to its limit, I ride it at 130 everyday, its still giving me 35kms per liter, if ridden easily, it can easily return 40. No exaggeration, it was giving me 42 at a point of time when I rode it easily. Its so torquey that u need not change gears and easily give half trottle and overtake without any difficulties.
Y does everyone think about offloading, how many goes over himalayas on bike?
Everyone does onroad 98% of the times and 2% offroad!
This bike trust me is absolutely phenomenal.
Its not an off roader but its an amazing tourer and a city motorcycle with a lot of bottom end punch and amazing blend of refinement and power.

@@rajeshsinghthakur6637 Lemme be honest with you.
You won't have any problems with power and torque as the motorcycle has a beautiful blend of power and torque and it has so much torque literally from the idle. The power is really good even with a heavy pillion and even on hilly sections too.
But if you say typical Indian Bad roads, yes suspension isn't the most complaint and it does feel stiff, it's not unbearable or too stiff but it's not supple, it immediately feels bumpy especially on bad roads, you've to get used to it.
This motorcycle is not an off roading bike at all, if you have great roads, you won't have any problems. If you have bad roads, this might feel uncomfortable until you get used to it.

I think the front beak crap was not needed, only the wind deflector was enough. Should have put that effort into better suspension tuning, engine tuning, 2-3 liter more tank capacity, maybe led turn indicators and possibly a slipper clutch(optional). Also the Bluetooth stuff is crap anyways, just using your own mobile with a holder is much better and cheaper (graphical view is 10000% times better than some random direction pixels). Could have saved some money there. Oh well....

Since these days anyone can talk anything on RUclips it’s fine 😅… Typically any product review on RUclips has a pattern. First the popular RUclipsrs will set the tone for a product and then the rest keeps reiterating the same things to look smart. 😅
To know what a Suzuki is you need to own one … I have had a GS150R and a Gixxer SF in the past and they were wonderful machines… with a long term ownership experience from these both I have recently purchased a Avenis scooter and a Vstrom 250…
Also I don’t agree to the fact that it’s just a fairing for 33k that u r getting …there is a reworked chassis , better ground clearance, longer wheel base which leads to more space , dual purpose tyres , better seating ergonomics and of course the fairing and the adv looks … in the looks department it punches way above its weight… Also the experience Vstrom offers is way different from Gixxer 250 and the former is meant for the highways and the later is meant for the city
Also since u r comparing Yezdi , Himalayan and KTM adv 250 interms of suspension travel , why are u not comparing Mileage , Service cost , Cost of Spare parts etc etc which actually matters when u own the bike … if I compare it RE quality of parts , Milage , Spare parts cost takes a back seat also it runs out of breath when u r trying to go fast … The KTMs have heating issues and service is on the expensive side and for sure fuel efficiency is lesser than Vstrom … Yezdi I am not comparing here as I don’t see many on roads at the first place … service, parts availability could be an issue
These days everyone acts as if the only reason to buy a motorcycle is suspension travel 🤣…two instagram reels of Off-roading and then off-roading comes to an end 😂. Also once u off-road with RE , Yezdi and KTMs or for that matter any brand be ready to spend a healthy amount in the service center… ryt from a fork oil leak to a damaged cone set …once u burn your fingers u will appreciate the Road 😁

Sirf Long Travel Suspension Dal dene seh hi bike off-road nahi Banti hai, tensile strength & metallurgy of cycle parts bhi ushi specification ka hoyna chahiye, nahi toh Himalayan jaisa Chasis breakage ho jayega, Ducati Multistrada’s main feature is 4 bikes in 1, Touring, Commuting, Sporty & Light Off-roading but uske liye Ohlin’s ka Electronic Adjustable Suspension chahiye jo ish price range mein possible nahi hai, So this is a compromise cut budget Multistrada

Liked the review man. For this price doesn't make sense to buy SX 250, esp when it's everything Gixxer inside. Even Scram makes sense in front of this. (Minus few hassles)

Mereko 1 cheez samajh nehi aatihai,,
Mere dost ka Honda Africa Tween 16 to 19km/l ka milage nikalti hai (1100cc aur 90nm+ ka torque with 234kg kerb weight), to ye saab 250cc wala khilona kaise 25 to 30km/l milage deti hai..!!
kaam se kaam 55 to 60km/l ka milage dena chaiye...

This motorcycle has a defect of pulling left side upon leaving handle bar and service center doesn't help with this. Check before buying!

If only the suspension are more tuned for path holes then it would be a great tourer.... Considering 2% people do off roading
