  • I purchased plans for a Traditional Shaker Dresser from Tom McLaughlin of Epic Woodworking (epicwoodworking.com). Tom has been a full time woodworker for decades and is a great teacher. The plans are full sized drawings and I even purchased the associated videos as well. These are not 10 minute youtube video's. There is well over 10 hours of video where Tom is building the chest step by step with a live virtual audience. It's just like taking a woodworking class only the videos allow you to go back whenever needed.
So yes, I highly recommend the plans and videos if you are interested in building a Shaker Dresser and want some direction to do so.
Obviously I can't give out any measurements as they relate to the plans.
Here is a link to the detailed video on how I built the drawers for the chest • Building Dovetail Draw...

Hi David, I think what you may be referring to is actually a Grizzly bench top planer since I don't have a sander - I'm looking at the segment at 0:18 into the video. Let me know if that is what you're referring to - thanks for the comment! Dennis

If the carcass is not square at the point of construction, how on earth does one expect to resolve problems "later on"? Too few tails and too large
