- We all saw Grimes. Have a meltdown at coachella when Rekordbox Analyzed her tracks and double the BPM of some Which obviously sped up the other track. When she went to go Sync them together. What exactly is the right BPM fire DnB ? Is this a personal preference or is there an actual answer. Let me know in the comments which one you think is right and why you pick that one.

87 all the way
There’s more wiggle room at half speed (70/80 range) because blends into hip hop, funk, RnB and also applying effects (as you mentioned Steve) offers much broader range. Thus, my DnB tracks are all analyzed within this half range and moreover, it’s easier and more intuitive to double a number than to half it in my head (at lease for me). Pioneer should have a Double/Half hardware feature as you pointed out with the Sc6000.
Should go with the actual time signature of the song. So if the program is reading the bpm at double time because of the downbeat of the snare, then go with that. We can do the math if you wanted to mix it in cut time.
174, Most probably that's what it's produced at in the DAW.
You can use this to easily transition between DnB and Hip-Hop/ R and B
Maybe it's just pure ignorance on my part but I don't really care. I see 160 as 80 and vice versa. If the mix sounds good then I'll do it if not I won't.
The 3/4 loop roll things is pretty cool now too, don't use it that much but it's growing in on me
174 is a happy median for modern drum bass.
If you step back into the amen jungle era (say 93-96) you're looking more around 160 to 170
For whatever reason a lot of downloads come up halftime
I hear a of lot DJs that don't use rekordbox to update the BPM having issues when they step on the decks and somebody has the sync engaged lol
I have a question: What are you doing with the CDJ 3000? Cause 2 years ago you told us 5 reasons why you sold your Pioneer DJ CDJ-3000s for the Denon DJ SC6000s and have no regrets! 😂
I bought CDJ-3000's again when I heard about streaming and also because I bought the v10 and wanted to do youtube videos. If I was to choose a system over all it would be sc6000m, but I have also had touch screen become unresponsive.
@@TheDJLab Denons had touch screen become unresponsive or Pioneer?
Dnb is about 175bpm fact
So why is it labeled wrong in Rekordbox?
Depends what bpm range is selected when analyzing.
