    I have the Boom 2 Plus - 140w, 7500mAh/7.3V battery and the Rave Party 2 - 120w, 4900mah/7.2v battery.
I have yet to test the battery on both at full blast playing the same music from the same Samsung phone. No party cast. But I will soon.
    What I have found is.
The Boom 2 Plus is lighter with easier portability with it's large handle and 2 point adjustable strap. It's completely waterproof and can float in water facing up.
The Rave Party 2 is heavier. And is splash proof. Still portable but must be carried with the handle. But I have a 3" wide adjustable woven nylon strap with quick release safety buckle. I can strap it to me through the top handle. But it's a one point sling and the heavy speaker tends to roll on my hip if I walk without care. The Rave Party 2 is only splash proof. Given that the subwoofers are ported and there is a hole in the back.
That ported hole is perfect for reflecting the rearward projected bass off a wall so it's fills out the area better.
As for sound. I had bass up off and both speakers on a custom EQ at all 0s for experimental control.
My samsung phone allows me to connect both speakers and switch audio output devices at will.
What I have found is that the Rave Party 2 is louder with crisp highs and deeper punchier bass. While the Boom 2 Plus is a little quieter even with bass up on. The highs are softer due to the silk tweeters and the bass is not as punchy and not as hard hitting.
Overall I'd say it comes down to what your needs are between these two speakers.
I have four Rave Party 2 speakers and one Boom 2 Plus. Plenty to spread out for large parties. Inside or outdoors.
If you want loud and crisp that packs the punch. That can survive the rain. Get the Rave Party 2 for about $180-ish
If you want loud and soft that packs a softer punch. Is built to wear on the go that you can take kayaking, boating or swimming.
Get the Boom 2 Plus for about $250-ish

No matter how much Soundcore pays people to praise it. This speaker is a failure

I wasn't paid to make this review. Why do you think it's a failure?
