    Please keep these videos coming! Had it not been for that rogue airliner rushing to take off during your approach on short final, you would've maintained center line.

    You explain things so well! Thank you for these video series. It's helping me transition from steam gauges to EFIS in my muti-engine IR training.

    On 08:00 you're saying you're flying to the station on 127 radial, I think that's more correct to say you're flying on 307 radial inbound.

    • @alexkapinga2024
      @alexkapinga2024 Месяц назад

      I've heared someone say "Radial" (for towards the beacon) and "course" (flying outwards from the beacon)

    • @ilyaredkin4172
      @ilyaredkin4172 Месяц назад

      @@alexkapinga2024 as far as I remember from my IFR training, radial is always a radial, and you can follow the radial either inbound or outbound. "Course" is not applicable to VOR navigation.
      I might be wrong though, I've never actually navigated with the ground stations, all my flights are GPS now.

    Useful but would be better if you had set up scenarios beforehand rather than literally doing it on the fly, ILS 28R good case in point. Any chance of rerecording this?

    Does the Auto pilot fly the step down fixes or do you have to tell it to drop each fix?

    • @trent_dyrsmid
      @trent_dyrsmid  11 месяцев назад +2

      If you use VNV, the auto pilot will fly the step down fixes. I forgot to include that in this video, and will record it in a separate video soon.

    What settings fix the menu that comes up when I click on the buttons? When I engage a knob on the G1000 a white menus pops up basically obscuring the entire area.
