Simplemente maravilloso!!! Está melodía interpretada en guitarra es excelente, destacándose mucho más acordes y sonidos. Viajé a mi pasado, momentos hermosos. Gracias
I remember hearing this on the radio when I was a child, and I've never forgotten it. Watching my parents dancing in the kitchen or living room. Beautiful song.
That is also one of my favorite memories. We'd pull the furniture back and my mom and dad would dance in our living room too. They met as dance instructors at Arthur Murray School of Dance. I don't think many folks know how to dance well anymore.
@Rob Bourassa Ah, man !! Today's young'uns would NEVER know the meaning of a slow, romantic dance, with candle lights, or watching your parents dancing, or "dipping" one another, romantically. Yep, my friend, sadly, except in our memories, those days are gone. "Arthur Murray", huh? The one thing that tells me, is, your parents must have been terrific dancers. I used to beg my brothers to take me, but they would yell & say "Heck NO, You're our sister, NO WAY, the girls that go there & work there are KNOCK-OUTS & you're just our sister". So, I never got to go, but I ALWAYS wondered what it was like or what it looked like. Would you mind telling me what it was like for them to work there? If if you don't mind, please?
They always talked fondly of it. My dad did it part time while he was in the Air Force in Texas. They were both excellent dancers in many styles. When they got married and moved back to Michigan, they quit teaching dance but still lit up the floor wherever they went. I remember having a very good high school stage band that did standards from the 40s and during our concerts, our director invited the parents to dance. It only took a few seconds for the floor to clear and everyone around them stood in awe. They were really something. They always stayed in shape and my mom was always a pretty slender girl, so they made a very striking couple. It was always a big part of their lives.
Rob, don't tell me your dad was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base (LAFB) in San Antonio, Texas. That's where I live. Man, I bet they were some REAL "floor sweepers", an old Texas term describing people that dance & they're SO good, they sweep EVERYONE else off the dance floor. But how wonderful for y'all !! If I remember correctly, the Arthur Murray dance studio was downtown on St. Mary's Street or on Broadway. Obviously, my brothers never took me, but sometimes the T.V. stations, (we had three, don't laugh) would pick some of the dance instructors & do a piece on them. Say, I wonder if your parents may have been any of the instructors a story was done on? This is REALLY some great memories you shared with us. Really wonderful to read & imagine them dancing, teaching some oaf & NOT getting your mom's feet crushed. Many Thanks !!

Ideed for me, THE BEST version of Maria Elena ! I love ALL of this performance, you deserve much more than 26K "likes". First, Rob you play it like I was dreaming, then, in the past (sixties) we won with this tune the National amateur orchestras meeting, in my country, our version was poor compared to yours , but my friend soloist was looking very much like you, the guitar was an old Gibs ES125 and people liked it. It's hard to believe how much things have changed in the last four months.
ALWAYS A DELIGHT TO SEE AND HEAR SOMEONE TRYING TO SHARE THEIR TALENT WITH US, THE LISTENERS. AND, SINCE WE CAN PROBABLY NOT EVEN READ A NOTE, LET ALONE, PLAY AN INSTRUMENT, IT IS REALLY ENLIGHTENING TO SEE ANOTHER PERSON PERFORM. KEEP UP ALL THE GOOD WORK, ALL OF YOU PEOPLE WHO MAKE MUSIC FOR US. WELL DONE!
There is no song I can think of more captivating than Maria Elena, and I come back to listen to this piece, again and again. So, over the years I appreciated this piece so much, it sometimes evokes so much passion, emotion and tears. My father and I loved this lovely instrumental many years ago, and it rekindles fond memories of a simpler time. Thank You so much. I hope to listen to you more often.
This is one of my all time favourite songs, love it played by guitar.
I always thought this was the prettiest song I had ever heard, and I named my daughter Maria Elena after it. You play it SO beautifully~~Thanks

Just my meager copy of the great Los Indios Tabajaras.
Beautifully played and what a nice sound your guitar has KUDOS 🙏🏽
Thanks so much.
Ideed for me, THE BEST version of Maria Elena ! I love ALL of this performance, you deserve much more than 26K "likes". First, Rob you play it like I was dreaming,
then, in the past (sixties) we won with this tune the National amateur orchestras meeting, in my country, our version was poor compared to yours ,
but my friend soloist was looking very much like you, the guitar was an old Gibs ES125 and people liked it. Souvenirs .... Best regards from Paris.
Thanks Rob !
