Another collaborative effort, this time with the prolific Swiggles1987! I'm sure most of you watching are already familiar with his work, but go ahead and check out his channel if you haven't already for some reason.
This project was actually pretty much done like a month and a half ago, but it had to be put on hold for various reasons. It deviates a bit from my typical cover formula, which normally entails me shredding like a fucking cheese grater all over the place, but it just didn't feel appropriate here. It's too heavy and atmospheric for mindless soloing, so I abstained.
Arrangement, Guitar, and Drums were done by me.
Bass, Guitar, and Mastering were done by Swiggles1987.
Oh, next week's video? It's a fucking doozy. I've touched on it before but didn't execute it quite the way I wanted; that ought to be a hint for those of you who've been following me for a while ;)

Of all Majora's Mask Temples, I think the Stonetower has the best soundtrack. And this metal version is supercool!
You should check out Csguitar89's cover of this song. This cover is good, but the 89's cover is my personal favorite

Richaad man that was sick! The rhythm guitar at 0:21 was the best. Production value was great, video was great, collaboration was great, and man was that heavy. Also, I love that the soloing wasn't highlighted in this; it made the song all-around more mature and well-structured. Loved it dude.
Thanks man, most of the heaviness and production comes from Ro's super mixing skills, which far surpass my own lol. I think we both kinda recognized that excessive leads wouldn't really fit here because this track is just too heavy and almost a bit atmospheric for weedle-deedling all over the place.

That was amazingly heavy, dudes! Loved the riffs and speedpicking parts. The mix sounded a bit muddy on the thicker parts, but then again I'm on bad headphones right now so it might very well be that.
Thanks mister! There's actually a surprising amount of layering going on here, even during the quiet part I think there are four guitars and a bass alongside minimal drum sequencing, so it doesn't surprise me that you're hearing mud here and there :)

My favorite song in Majora's Mask (which is my favorite Zelda game by the way) and I really enjoyed it! Just thinking it would be even better if you hide an additional melody inside like the elegy of emptiness, that would be an awesome easter egg.
