Twilight princess is far from my favorite Zelda game, but this piece still resonates with me after all these years since playing it for the first and last time. It's so simple but works so well and is just perfect for this part of the game. It's usually the simple pieces that end up sticking with me I think, and it's ALWAYS the simple pieces that let me get super creative with a cover arrangement idea. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that this may be the most creative I've gotten with a cover since Corridors of Time or Easton Kingdom.
After I laid down the clean parts in the middle with that nifty little tremolo effect, I was about to start doing my usual "look I can do blues/jazz stuff too" dance when an idea occurred to me: this would probably be incredible with a sax here. Luckily for me, I'm friends with the immensely talented insaneintherainmusic who not only laid down a spectacular lead for the clean part, but even had an idea for the post-metal trem picking part after it. He even put up with me asking questions about trying to mix sax with metal like an idiot. Seriously, go check out his channel if you like incredibly well-done sax-oriented jazz type stuff.
    / insaneintherainmusic
Speaking of mixing, I also tried to step up my game with my mixing and mastering; I hope you can tell. Special thanks to MaximumHamburgers for feedback and pointing me in the right direction since I have no fuckin idea what I'm doing. Go check out his channels as well; he's got a solo channel as well as his band channel (Tetrimino VG Band):

Psylo Productions Well, I'm gonna be a transparent jerk here but...
most smaller (and a lot of bigger) RUclipsrs / artists like me are that way. It's cuz we just barely managed to get some attention on our video after working our asses off to produce it, then other commenters (wanting to share the love) unintentionally redirect people AWAY from our channel. There's no harm intended and it probably does minimal amounts to begin with, but in my mind I'm thinking "c'mon, they're already established musicians or artists. They already have all the love in the world. Let people familiarize themselves with me for a bit before sending them off elsewhere." Sharing other artists is amazing and encouraged but, like... just try to avoid it in the channel comments if you can help it.
However, Trioscapes are fucking amazing and horrendously underrated so I don't care a whole lot.

Never did I think that a saxophone would contrast well with this brutal metal. You've done it again Rich, you've taken an already really emotional song, and not only make it into hardcore metal, but you've also made it into this beautiful masterpiece. Especially that part at 3:37. And Carlos did such an amazing job for this too. I think I can surely say that you're the best video game cover artist on the internet, Rich. Not exaggerating even slightly.

Without any exaggeration, this is hands down one of the best, if not THE best, LoZ covers I have ever heard, and it's from one of my favorite songs in the franchise. That saxophone part blends in so well, and when it meshes with the distorted guitars it just builds up that tension so well, only to be resolved beautifully by the end of it. Very well done!
Also, some of those guitar lines really reminded me of Between The Buried And Me!

Those guitar sounds... they strongly remind me of some tracks form the DBZ Budokai Tankaichi series. And, well, that's gladly appreciated!
And of course the whole song is a great cover of an unforgettable classic! Great job!

The sax reminds me of Calabi-Yau by TesseracT. Was that the kind of vibe you were going for? Amazing! Best cover of this song ever!

OdnetninAdlez Haven't listened to a whole lot of TesseracT, was going more a combination of Agalloch, M83, and Pink Floyd with that section. Glad you enjoyed it!

The sax ended up fitting your arrangement style way better than I initially thought it would. But that's Rain for ya.

Some dude in the comments said this was their favourite cover of yours... It's definitely up there.
