I've been looking for a stitch for a baby blanket with a bit of texture and this is perfect. Something else..put one of your beautiful borders on a swatch and make a type of patchwork blanket. Thanks, Jane.

I prefer this stitch to the cobble stitch, its more delicate andceasier on the eye as an all over pattern

Really like this video and your voice is so nice. However, as a novice sometimes the over explanation on right and wrong sides, added details, etc. stresses me out!!!!!

Thanks so much, yes the lingo can get a little overwhelming sometimes, I do tend to repeat certain things, just to make sure everyone is on the same page. Hope you can give it a go and enjoy the crochet. Thanks for watching

Why not use the words front side/back side vs. wrong/right side? -

Thank you for your question. From my experience over the years of writing patterns in the crochet industry, "wrong side" and "right side" is used to refer to a stitch patterns orientation, so you know which side of the "stitch" you are working with. I believe Front side , Back side would be use more to refer to an actual project piece, as you can have a project where the Wrong side of the Stitch Pattern is used on the Front Side of a project. I am in North America as well, so I tend to use the US terms. I know UK can be a little different and I am not overly familiar with the crochet language used there. Hope this helps explain why I use those terms in that way. Thanks for watching and hope that helps.

But you said multiple of 2 plus 1

Yes, so the swatch is done over 15 sts, an odd number. The foundation is 15 ch, then the extra ch to start the first row because you start working into second ch from hook and you end up with 15 sts. Hope that helps

Confused… so you use odd number plus 1?

Tricia…I’ve just decided to do this stitch, did you work out how if odd or even stitch number, my mind is trying to work it out?
