Gates is actually the Mystery Dungeon game I _wouldn't_ recommend to newcomers purely because of how boring it is. The dungeons are almost entirely corridors, there's so much text, the text speed is horribly slow, there's no belly system, the post-game outside of building up Paradise is practically non-existent and there's a very limited amount of Pokémon available to recruit, most of which are from Gen V. The two good things about Gates that I'd like to see return in Super are the move level-up system and some sort of post-game Paradise-esque thing. Sky is definitely the best, therefore it is the ideal one to recommend.
+GarchompMatt Yay some one agrees. i just have to say that Sky is the best out of the three, because considering Time, Darkness, and Sky all have a very similar story, in Sky you get to go to the Shaymin Village and recruit Shaymin, while also getting a few extra dungeons i believe
I was of the exact same belief until I played Pokemon Reborn. My god, that game (story, music, difficulty, originality) is mind-blowing. If PMD2 is 10/10, Reborn is a solid 13. You can download it here: www.rebornevo.com/index.php?/pr/index.html/ I promise you won't regret it; I hadn't played a Pokemon game since White Version when I started playing this last year.

I honestly prefer Pokemon Colosseum and XD over the main series games for the most part. Yeah they have more flaws (aside from Gen 1 of course), but they have a more enticing journey, more interesting characters, and provide a decent challenge. There are a lot of limitations the games have that alienate same players, but they don't bother me too much. If they got HD Remakes or even better a Sequel, I would be so happy. Yea... So far, Pokemon XD was by far one of my most favorited games. Its a close debate with XD and Emerald. For graphics, XD is by far better and in my opinion, has better graphics than the new X/Y and ORAS, I just loved XD, and I probably wouldn't of gave up if the Orre Colosseum wasn't so freaking hard. To this day, I still have the game boxed up in my room. Waiting to be played once again.
TheFlyingCule The Wii U is the perfect opportunity for a new game in the Orre region! If you recall, we had all sorts of radars and such in the other games, put that on the Wii U Gamepad! Put the shadow pokemon currently in your party onto the gamepad so you can keep track of the guages or make a setting to switch between them with a button on the gamepad. Perfect opportunity!
TheFlyingCule I was going to use this post to explain why I love Colosseum so much... but, you've basically said it all for me. The region, characters, and plot are all very in-depth and intriguing, and there are plenty of ways to waste time while training outside the main storyline(Mt. Battle, anyone?), and the fact that it is only Double Battles actually adds a nice layer of difficulty while still keeping the game playable. I have unfortunately never played XD, so I know very little about it aside from the basic premise, but from what I've heard it continues very well what Colosseum started.
Rainbowleaf They actually had a really good plot planned out originally for XD. I wish they would have gone with that plot instead of the one that we got. It continues much better from the Colosseum game.
Heck, if they made another, it would sell well because of me. I can't decide if Ranger or Mystery dungeon are my favorte spin off, but they are both AMAZING, I want another Ranger game! I wish they would tell us why thy discontinued it, it seemed so promising...

The Mystery Dungeon games are hands down my favourites. I think I may even prefer them over the main series games. Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky is one of my favourite games of all time, the only pokemon game to make me cry.
i absolutely adore the mystery dungeon series. my favorite by far is explorers of the sky for the streamlined gameplay and special episodes. so many feels.
I love Conquest. Wasting about 90-99 hours of my life to beat all of the stories and get almost every warlord to their final rank was very worth it since I felt very rewarded afterwards. ^.^
Mystery dungeon has my heart 100% as a spin off game. I started from the original Blue rescue team. The Story is Lengthy in the older games, but its for SUCH a good reason. It is a Great story. Not saying I teared up at the end...but...Blue rescue team hits you hard in the feelz.
Patrick Vargas Can't get over PMD 2 games, especially Sky. Has all the qualities of an amazing spin off game, alongside an awesome storyline. So many feels for this series.
I love Mystery Dungeon, but I only have Blue Rescue and Explorers of Time. I've also realized something. People hear about Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby, and the Premadorial (Premidorial? Whatever) Pokémon, and think I've never heard that before! I Explorers of Time, Dialga went kind of insane, and was transformed into what they called Premadorial (Primadiol?). I like the idea of the legendries almost "evolving" I guess. (But Explorers of Time used Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald's leaf dew-drop thing, so whatever)
But I actually thought you were serious about Hey You Pikachu. I played the game when I was seven. And got bored of it five minutes into it. When you said it, I flipped to another video. My friend actually told me to watch the whole thing. I am glad she did.
Lol. I finally beat him when he used Roar of Time and my health was so low, it activated my blaze (I'm Charmander) and I spammed Flamethrower. He wasn't able to move to attack, so I just beat him in four moves. After a crap ton of battles, I beat him in four moves with no help from my partner. I was like, really? After all that fricking time, THATS how I beat him?
Let's hope that the story is as deep and touching as the one in Explorers of Time, Darkness and Sky. (That is if they do make a sequel, which I really hope they do with what I just said.)
Matt Ascencion Agreed. Explorers of Sky/Darkness/Time and Red/Blue Rescue Team are the best Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Games ever. Pokemon is the only reason I would buy Nintendo's gaming devices.
Exactly, I'd maybe buy some other random games but Pokémon is the main one. Explorers of Sky is the best, and that's that. It is still my opinion though
Oh man the Mystery Dungeon games! I remember I used my action replay to make myself look like an Umbreon even though I still had the Pikachu move set. That was really fun.
I liked the poke park games. The first one was happy, bright and silly, it was simple, you had to fix the sky. The second one, piplup was trapped in another dimension and he was almost killed and everyone's memory was erased
I LOVED Pokémon Conquest! Call me cheap, but my favorite strategy was putting a guardian charm on all my units and conquering about 4-5 countries a month. Good times...
Mystery Dungeon had SUCH an emotional appeal to me.. Especially the 2nd installment. The first one was also rally good. Gates to Ifinity was excellent too.
+MrGinge7777 i did.... but then when Dialga "sends you back" (though he claims he wasnt the one to do so) and you show up again.... i was in tears... again... I also loved it when you get back from the future and go to the guild, and diglett says its you... i think it was awesome how every was leik "OMGOMGOMGOMG UR ALIVE!!!!" (Sunflora: Oh my Gosh!)
I shudder to think about Gerards reaction to reviewing the game is....over 800 pokes now, you know they could include every flipping poke in the series right? Especially on the Wii U o.o
Matthew Burton To put the 'difficulty' into perspective, think about it, that game only had 64 of the original 150, now you're saying a pokemon snap game with 718 pokes to catch would be easy? Yeah no, not to mention they would need a much bigger world with more open-ended exploring and not as much on rail, well it could be on rail, but to me that kind of ruins the fun in a safari type thing.
Naruto200Man it doesn't really HAVE to be about all of the pokemon, it could just have all the X and Y Exclusive Pokemon along with a few others such as pikachu.
I really hope an updated version of Conquest will come out :3 it would be the absolute best thing ever (imo) if we could have a battle strategy game with some more Pokémon features like multipule moves, tms and hms.
I'm actually not a huge fan of the new MD title. Maybe because I was such a fan of the older ones and I had very high expectations, especially after the Time/Darkness/Sky games which are still my favorites. I understand why they simplified things, it's just not what I was expecting. I also cleared it super fast since I was used to the harder game play, which would be fine except there isn't really any post game.
***** Meh…Gates to Infinity was…mediocre. When you come after such an amazing game like Explorers of Sky, you have some big shoes to fill, and GTI didn't fill them very well. It just felt rushed to me. I also might have a teensy little bias towards 3D pokemon games. And I also wished they didn't get rid of the gender option. That annoyed me to no end.
I can't believe Mystery Dungeon wasn't #1. Mystery Dungeon is the best Pokemon game series that has ever been created. Memorable characters, fun and addicting gameplay, a damn good storyline, and HOLY SHIT THAT MUSIC. I'd pick a Mystery Dungeon game over ANY other Pokemon game any day.
Honestly I don't like Pokemon Conquest one bit. I would have put Hey you Pik... How did that get into my script lol. I would have put Pokemon Colosseum/XD Gale of Darkness as my number one but Pokemon Mystery Dungeon would have been a close call for me.
Hey! Did you know it has a mini anime series, based off of the first 3 games? My favorite is the first one, but terrible voice acting. I still love it 100% and 100% needs a sequel. You can watch it here and find my comments there to! m.ruclips.net/video/rAOmQ-foqeg/видео.html
Pokemon mystery dungeon games are definitely my favourite spin-off games. They're fun, challenging and... Here comes the good part... *THE STORY, OH MY, THE STORY!* So emotional... It made me cry *TWICE!* (All of them excluding gates of infinity, of course.) Instead of graphics they focus on gameplay, story, and character development! My favourite is explorers of sky.
Can you give me any detail of what the new one is like? I really like the other mystery dungeons but looking at this new one it just seems like i would breeze through it way too easily + the fact the story doesnt seem as good ASWELL as its design. Is it worth it?
Hmm, I'd give a 5/10 for the story but a 10/10 on the graphic designs. I'd say it'd be worth it. IT may seem easy, but some of the stages are extremely hard.
I'm really glad you talked about Pokemon Conquest! It's actually my favorite spinoff and I think it would be really cool if there was another game like it just with some improvements. Not likely, but the game was so good.
Colosseum was the first Pokemon game I owned, then I started playing the main games, but I still play colosseum every once in a while on my wii cuz my gamecube's broken.
Yeah the third installment was a real letdown. While it had 3D graphics (Which I really don't like, I loved the old sprites more) the story wasn't too good. Also the gameplay I can say is better, even though it's easier, but even the soundtrack is not as good! The two elements that made PMD what it is today: soundtrack and story, are lacking in the newest spin-off, a shame really.
I freaking love mystery dungeon. explorers of sky is my favorite. It has a better plot than gates to infinity and is easier than red or blue rescue team.
I love the PokePark games. They actually returned my love for Pokèmon, look great, have the anime voice acting, and are fun and easy. Not to mention the first PokèPark let you play as many different Pokèmon in the attractions.
+awesome8x you didn't have to buy nor play it and it was made for the enjoyment of playing for the people that would enjoy it. it can't 'ruin the series'
+Jackson Holder Honestly, I did like the Mystery Dungeons a lot, except GTI, but I can understand why the others beat it. I love Pokemon XD, and making something like Pokemon Conquest work is just an amazing feat.
I think that they should make sequels to the Pokemon mystery dungeon games that spin off from blue/red rescue, time/darkness/sky and Gates to infinity and in which you can transfer your rescue/exploration/gates to infinity to keep playing on as the same team but in a different game and with a whole new story. Remember how fun the extra little after stories were in Pokemon Mystery dungeon? I was so sad when I completed them cause there wasn't much left to do. So why not make a game that can take your old data and your team and put them in a new adventure? Just think of the possibilities! Sure it may be difficult but look at how many amazing things the Pokemon Company has accomplished. They've managed to make us cry, laugh, rage, connect, socialize, expand, raise our self esteems, made us more imaginative -take a look at all the awesome fan made Pokemon out there and you'll see what I mean- Pokemon I shall forever love and I will never stop playing you. EVER
Hell, a remake of Red/Blue Rescue Team would be awesome. Unlike Red/Blue in the main games, Red/Blue Rescue Team stands up well against newer Mystery Dungeon games, maybe even better. An excellent story that somehow kept going even after the main story was done, a fantastic post-game that keeps you playing until the very end, and lastly, what Red/Blue Rescue Team is best known for, its difficulty level. It's arguably the most difficult Pokemon game ever made.
2:36 this is the game from my childhood! o_o I've been wondering what it was... It all just came back to me the nostalgia. We went to a hotel that had video games and they had this
Yeah! Pokemon Mystery Dungeon FTW!!! I like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon more than I like the Pokemon main series games. Also, you haven't played a REAL Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game until you've played Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red or Blue Rescue Team
I didn't play Generation 3, so I think that would be a terrible waste of a release. Hopefully not "X/Y 2" either - a new game altogether would be best, or a remake of DPP. I'd also like to see generation 1 remade with new content and more current pokemon thrown into Kanto :3
You're wrong when you say Trozei's the most underrated Pokemon game. PokePark easily beats it by a mile. Sure, the gameplay is simplistic and silly but the battle system is awesome, especially in PokePark 2. No turn-based combat, no level up system, just an upgrade system with REAL-TIME 3D BATTLES.
So happy XD was recognized for how awesome it is... It's honestly so underrated, and everyone seems to like Colosseum better. It's the only Pokemon game I've restarted to play over again multiple times, and I've done that way more times than I care to count. I keep hoping Genius and GameFreak will team up again to make a game like it for Wii U, because that would be like a dream come true. Orre deserves to have more development!
For me, Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky are both my favorite spinoff, and Pokemon game. Incredible and, at points (generally involving the bad future and anything involving the outright psychopathic Darkrai), extremely DARK story, great characters, and amazing music. Even if the gameplay is slow (a trait all the Mystery Dungeons share), the story will stay with you, and makes all the frustration of locating each set of stairs worth it. I didn't really like Gates tho. Hydreigon was funny, but that didn't save it from being boring. Rescue Team, Explorers, and Super are definitely better. I also like Pokemon XD: GoD. It gets a bit of flak for being 'lighter' than Colosseum, but if anything, it's even scarier. They corrupt the god of storms so much that it becomes "unpurifiable" and it opens up with aforementioned god of storms throwing a Sailor and his captain overboard. We never know their fates, but it could easily be assumed that they drowned. It is also the first game where a villain tries to have you killed, and his plan to blow Citadark Isle would've killed all Cipher members still unfortunate enough to be on the island. But hey, in his words 'Such things can be replaced!" Thank god Eldes stops this plan. But you can fight this guy later, and when you beat him, you receive a letter that amounts to a threat where he implies he's preparing for Round 3. And yet, there will never be a third Orre game, a fact which I find greatly depressing because this guy was on par with _Ghetsis_. Like how does he not become Cipher Leader in a third game? ;m;
You're literally the only person I've seen in so long besides me that prefers Blue/Red Rescue Team over Explorers of Sky/Time/Darkness, and that's refreshing.
David Selimovic I haven't played the third one, but I played the first and second when I was younger and I LOVED them. Though, I did like second's story better than the first's. Though, I did like first's dungeons better than the second's. So I guess they're both equally awesome.
991woot119 Despite the third getting constant flack even from PMD fans, I found it pretty enjoyable. I t did though take a few steps back similarly to Black and White
David Selimovic Then I don't think it would be worth playing, I couldn't get into B/W at all, I got up to the 2nd gym until I was so bored out of my mind with it that I just gave it up completely.
991woot119 Ah do't sell B/W to short. They DID have slow start, but it gets ALOT better later on, i assure you. But 40$ for GTI is a bit much though. Also u play tf2? My account name is "Pinkie Pie the Maverick Hunter"
Plotwise The Explorers Games (Darkness/Time/Sky) In my opinion, has the best plot and for me is the most memorable and will always be my favorite Mystery Dungeon game and I can't wait for Super Mystery Dungeon
Am I the only one who thinks that there should be a sequel to the Pokemon TCG from GBC? If there was a sequel I would want it on the 3DS and since there is a way to read Mii's with QR Codes, maybe they can implement that feature to get special cards in the game. Its all just an idea and since the TCG is online I can't always play on a computer everywhere I go so a 3DS version would be cool.
First, you are not the only the one to think that there needs to be a sequel for that wondrous game. Second, there actually WAS a sequel for Pokemon TCG, it just never got released outside of Japan.
Lol As true as that is, I prefer to hold the game on my handheld instead of an elaborate set up that takes up a lot of space. Will somebody think of the convenience!
+King Tetsumaki About that... I actually felt like the quality of XY and ORAS was very close to that of XD (especially in terms of audio). Probably one of the reasons why I stuck with them (and the fact that I grew up with gen 3)
I started my pokemon career on Gale Of Darkness, and when I moved onto Sapphire thereafter, I was quite confused. However, it didn't take me long to adapt and I moved on to become the master I am today.
We NEED a new pokemon colosseum/XD gale of darkness. like a third game. I loved those games. Colosseum was the second real pokemon game I had ever played and I loved it so much. At least nintendo has to get it on the wii U eshop or something.
Pokemon Art Academy is amazing. It's really easy to learn from and, dare I say it, I learnt more about drawing stuff than I did in school from it! You know Pokemon is doing something right when that happens!
Heh I shudder to think about a Pokemon Snap Sequel, I really do, I mean over 700 pokes..........YAY :3 (I can hear chugga groaning right about now :3 )
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team is an amazing game. Too bad I got Bulbasaur when aiming for a Cyndaquil... It made beating Moltres impossible (for obvious reasons). I've tried a hundred times to beat Moltres, and I lost all my items... It's made the game an absolute pain to me. ...I might as well restart, seriously.
***** Yeah the bosses were pretty hard with rayquaza and articuno using powder snow and rayquaza using dragon dance they rekt my whole team I beat the whole game but It is harder than the HARDEST GAME IN THE WORLD! The 99F dungeons are pains because of the traps and your limited food the pokemon were not even the problem. It took me a year to beat the silver trench and I was partying HELL YEA then there was like 5 more UGHHHH for some reason though, I found the buried relic much easier then the other 99F dungeons though
just use attract (TM) when the keslon sell it, buy it and because gender never mattered in those games (pokemon red rescue team) The bosses never could attack.
*_You mentioned PMD without saying anything about how sad the endings are!?!? What is WRONG with you!?!?_* But, really, though, to anyone who hates happy endings, PMD is for you... (*SPOILERS*) or at least until after the credits...
My favorite is Pokepark 2. It's not perfect but there is a charm to it and it's so much fun to friend everyone, and it has a fun story. And so much content
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky (and Time and Darkness, as well), have probably the most 'complete' and extremely addictive story-line that just makes you fall in love with the playable and non-playable characters, especially Wigglytuff and Sunflora, and even Spinda and Wobbuffet (in Sky). I think it should have seen some 'screen time', at least. It was just wonderful and if it hadn't been a little repititive after completing the second story-line, it would probably be my absolute favourite Pokemon game of all times.
Main: Red Blue Green Yellow Gold Silver Crystal Ruby Sapphire Emerald FireRed LeafGreen Diamond Pearl Platinum Black White HeartGold SoulSilver Black 2 White 2 X Y Alpha Sapphire Omega Ruby Everything else is a spinoff or fan game.
Side series = stuff that is somewhat relevant to the main series (IE fighting Pokemon in a somewhat-classic way) (Mystery Dungeon, Stadium, Colosseum) Spin-offs = something completely off topic (Trozei, Dash, Hey You Pikachu) Fan games = ...fan made games (Pokemon Brown, Mystery Universe, Survival Island).
Jenny Brown Technically speaking, pokepark was not that good and very easy but ı first played it as a child so its pure nostalgia for me. #CuteChildhoodNostalgia
Just so I don't have to keep being reminded by people who don't read the replies already there (ironically) I realized it wasn't the number one game on the list.
Pokemon Pinball's Music is really really GOOD My favorite music is the "Catch Time" because its a 8-bit demake from the first opening from the japanese pokemon anime

Primal reversion.
I was stuck on Dialga , it got to him when i was level 42 or something , and i forgot to bring my stash of reviver seeds , now i am level 55
PokeTheory AJ Thank you! It was driving me crazy
still waiting for a gen 6 mystery dungeon game...
It is Bin confirmt that it comes.
Endermender110 wish granted, its comming. Pokemon super mystery dungeon.
Who else cried at the end of explorers of sky when your parter is taken away
+MrGinge7777 i did.... but then when Dialga "sends you back" (though he claims he wasnt the one to do so) and you show up again.... i was in tears... again... I also loved it when you get back from the future and go to the guild, and diglett says its you... i think it was awesome how every was leik "OMGOMGOMGOMG UR ALIVE!!!!" (Sunflora: Oh my Gosh!)
They kinda redid it in gates to infinity where your taken away from your friends and it makes it like a sad moment but not enough for my tears
A Pokemon Snap sequel seems to be a good idea with the Wii U gamepad acting as the camera.
I shudder to think about Gerards reaction to reviewing the game is....over 800 pokes now, you know they could include every flipping poke in the series right? Especially on the Wii U o.o
Matthew Burton you know it's only 718
Apparently you never played pokemon snap
Getting some pokemon to appear is a pain.
Oooh, great idea!
Naruto200Man it doesn't really HAVE to be about all of the pokemon, it could just have all the X and Y Exclusive Pokemon along with a few others such as pikachu.
Explorers of Sky.
is a mystery dungeon game.
And it's awesome.
XD and Colosseum are probably my Number 1. I love them and played XD so many times.
MandJTv:YOU TALK TO A PIKACHU AND GIVE IT THE MOST SIMPLEST COMMANDS, SO MUNDANE
TheJwittz:perfection
Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky is my favorite Pokemon game of all time.
Gamer Pegasister Yes. Sky is my absolute favorite. I have replayed it more than once and it made me cry every damn time
SKY IS THE BEST MD
***** how was the ending meh. That was the most emotional pokemon game I've ever played
The Guild Crew? Annoying?
We must be speaking about another guild. Those guys were awesome...especially Sunflora (EEK!)
I agree, my good friend.
Honestly I don't like Pokemon Conquest one bit. I would have put Hey you Pik... How did that get into my script lol. I would have put Pokemon Colosseum/XD Gale of Darkness as my number one but Pokemon Mystery Dungeon would have been a close call for me.
Preach
Mystery Dungeon >>> main series Pokemon
Pokemon mystery dungeon games are definitely my favourite spin-off games. They're fun, challenging and... Here comes the good part... *THE STORY, OH MY, THE STORY!* So emotional... It made me cry *TWICE!* (All of them excluding gates of infinity, of course.) Instead of graphics they focus on gameplay, story, and character development! My favourite is explorers of sky.
Yes Jwittz! Conquest is my favorite spin-off too! :D
I LOVE The new mystery dungeon games. Buuuutttt.... The Original is WAY More fun and had a bit more of a story :DDD
The original punched me in the heart so hard.
I know right?! THE FEELS MAN!!!!!!
IT may seem easy, but some of the stages are extremely hard.
cheers, might get the it once i finish some other games :)
The endings to the Mystery Dungeon games always make me cry.
Same here.
same here, even when I replay them, I still cry.
Espescially explorers of Time (Darkness and Sky) I hope you have a happy life Grovyle.
Dude I have replayed conquest so many times I love the game so much
I was really underwhelmed with Gates to Infinity. I didn't feel like it had the same charm or depth.
I agree. I didn't find myself attached to any of the characters, which was a crying shame considering how amazing the story of the previous games was.
Agreed.
***** you are so right, explorers had an incredible plot but gates to infinity feels toned down for kids :/
I also really didn't like running in Gates to Infinity. It felt very clunky.
I cried so much after the main storyline of Gates to Infinity. I have to say, it deserves a place in my heart.
I freaking love mystery dungeon. explorers of sky is my favorite. It has a better plot than
gates to infinity and is easier than red or blue rescue team.
R.I.P. PokePark2..
You were always a hidden gem..
Agreed
So Pokemon Ranger never gets really hard ...... then what about that f**king charizard i soent like 4 hours trying to beat it......
*spent
nothing compared to the god damn steelix i'm still stuck on
It starts with the tangella then it just gets worse from there
The first game's final boss, and Charizard were F**KING HARD TO DEAFEAT. Anybody else remember raging at them when they were younger?
QueenofTNT
Charizard is a demon from hell.......(and I still don't know how I defeated it....)
I love the PokePark games. They actually returned my love for Pokèmon, look great, have the anime voice acting, and are fun and easy. Not to mention the first PokèPark let you play as many different Pokèmon in the attractions.
I’m so glad conquest was #1
Where is PokePark!
I like PokePark too
I know right
It was a simple and childish game but I absolutely love the Pokepark games >//
OMG THAT IS MY CHILDHOOD, no seriously, i beat pokepark 1 100%!
Cool, I'm working on a complete 100% PokePark 2, I only have a couple friends to get, and in PokePark 1, I haven't completed the main story yet.
I understand that these are your opinions, but forgive me when I say, "WOAH, Y MYSTERY DUNGEON NO NUMBER 1????"
+Jackson Holder Because the third installment ruined it
Fair point. But the others were great.
+awesome8x you didn't have to buy nor play it and it was made for the enjoyment of playing for the people that would enjoy it. it can't 'ruin the series'
+Jackson Holder I loved explorers of time/darkness
+Jackson Holder Honestly, I did like the Mystery Dungeons a lot, except GTI, but I can understand why the others beat it. I love Pokemon XD, and making something like Pokemon Conquest work is just an amazing feat.
You got me! I believed your top one for a second.
They've managed to make us cry, laugh, rage, connect, socialize, expand, raise our self esteems, made us more imaginative -take a look at all the awesome fan made Pokemon out there and you'll see what I mean-
Pokemon I shall forever love and I will never stop playing you.
We went to a hotel that had video games and they had this
We Want Pokemon Snap 2 On The WiiU Anyone Else Agree?
Troy Knox You sir are a... FLIPPING GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WANT IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Troy Knox Yeah, but I don't think it's gonna happen for some reason. Now to ask my mom for a N64.
Troy Knox hey i found you buddy, since jose is gone you don't comment much on mo's channel
i want a new tcg videogame
Troy or on Switch, but the Wii U fits it more
I Really Wish They’d Bring Back The Pokémon Ranger Games,They Were so Cool
Still waiting on that XD Gale of Darkness sequel. Come on Nintendo, you know we want it.
@Karsten Ngai-Natsuhara You’re not a real, *REAL*, fan unless you watched the anime special for the game.
m.ruclips.net/video/rAOmQ-foqeg/видео.html
RESCUE TEAM GOD DAMNIT!
That game's ending made me cry like a bitch.....
Me too
same here
4:48 is a puzzle game that involves squares so it's obviously Tetris, even though it's Panel de Pon.
... I wonder what pokemons planning for this year...
CROSS YOUR FINGERS FOR A GEN 3 REMAKE :D
I didn't play Generation 3, so I think that would be a terrible waste of a release. Hopefully not "X/Y 2" either - a new game altogether would be best, or a remake of DPP. I'd also like to see generation 1 remade with new content and more current pokemon thrown into Kanto :3
Your wish has been granted. Hoenn Confirmed. Have a cookie.
They a making Pokemon omega emerald and alpha sapphire
Aaron Teske thanks captain obvious :'(
Sato no problem
I was wondering were Conquest was...
I fucking love pokemon Conquest
SPOILER ALERT!!! You lose all data if you beat the nobunga rematch!
Sci-Phi that made me soo mad at the end.
Conquest might be my favorite pokemon game. Probably because I love the genre and FE: A is my favorite game .
I like pokemon conquest more than I like the main series. It's a bit easy but so damn fun.
pokemon conquest is AWSOME!!! I have spent more then 200 hours total in that game!!!
For me, Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky are both my favorite spinoff, and Pokemon game. Incredible and, at points (generally involving the bad future and anything involving the outright psychopathic Darkrai), extremely DARK story, great characters, and amazing music. Even if the gameplay is slow (a trait all the Mystery Dungeons share), the story will stay with you, and makes all the frustration of locating each set of stairs worth it. I didn't really like Gates tho. Hydreigon was funny, but that didn't save it from being boring. Rescue Team, Explorers, and Super are definitely better.
I also like Pokemon XD: GoD. It gets a bit of flak for being 'lighter' than Colosseum, but if anything, it's even scarier. They corrupt the god of storms so much that it becomes "unpurifiable" and it opens up with aforementioned god of storms throwing a Sailor and his captain overboard. We never know their fates, but it could easily be assumed that they drowned. It is also the first game where a villain tries to have you killed, and his plan to blow Citadark Isle would've killed all Cipher members still unfortunate enough to be on the island. But hey, in his words 'Such things can be replaced!" Thank god Eldes stops this plan. But you can fight this guy later, and when you beat him, you receive a letter that amounts to a threat where he implies he's preparing for Round 3. And yet, there will never be a third Orre game, a fact which I find greatly depressing because this guy was on par with _Ghetsis_. Like how does he not become Cipher Leader in a third game? ;m;
Incredible? Again, it's probably just the end you're giving that praise to.
My favorite is Mystery Dungeon Red and Blue
Flowerlily Sundrops My favorites are conquest and explorers of sky/time/darkness, even if if I STILL can't FRICKIN beat hidden highland! it's so hard!
jwittz you forgot pokepark and pokepark 2 those were my fav pokemon spinoffs
PokeWonders TCG omg I thought I was the only one who liked those
You're literally the only person I've seen in so long besides me that prefers Blue/Red Rescue Team over Explorers of Sky/Time/Darkness, and that's refreshing.
Explodinator Wow
Mystery Dungeon is fucking heartbreaking sometimes....
If they do make a game base on X and Y, it should be like PMD 2. Best in the trilogy.
David Selimovic
I haven't played the third one, but I played the first and second when I was younger and I LOVED them.
Though, I did like second's story better than the first's.
Though, I did like first's dungeons better than the second's.
So I guess they're both equally awesome.
991woot119
Despite the third getting constant flack even from PMD fans, I found it pretty enjoyable. I t did though take a few steps back similarly to Black and White
David Selimovic Then I don't think it would be worth playing, I couldn't get into B/W at all, I got up to the 2nd gym until I was so bored out of my mind with it that I just gave it up completely.
991woot119
Ah do't sell B/W to short.
THANK YOU! Someone finnaly see the amazing game that is conquest.
Amazing? Eh, don't get my hopes up too high. I'm easily disappointed.
I really want an XD 3ds remake.
+King Tetsumaki It would be way better in HD on the Wii U.
probably but I'd like to play that game places other than my house every now and again
+King Tetsumaki Any console can be portable if you're brave enough...
Petition for more Orre games tbh
We NEED a new pokemon colosseum/XD gale of darkness. like a third game. I loved those games. Colosseum was the second real pokemon game I had ever played and I loved it so much. At least nintendo has to get it on the wii U eshop or something.
As long as they remove the double battle focus. I am not a fan of this.
We need pokemon conquest 2
+TheGammingMeowstic tru
Pokemon Art Academy is amazing. It's really easy to learn from and, dare I say it, I learnt more about drawing stuff than I did in school from it! You know Pokemon is doing something right when that happens!
Poke park is really fun and I'm disappointed they haven't made a third
Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team.SO MUCH SAD.
Pmd2 more sad
PSMD much more sad
Heh
I shudder to think about a Pokemon Snap Sequel, I really do, I mean over 700 pokes..........YAY :3
(I can hear chugga groaning right about now :3 )
You know JWittz, you are my favorite youtuber that talks about Pokemon. Keep up the good work! I always look forward to your videos :3
POKEMON CHANNEL IS THE BEST GAME EVER Y U NO PUT IT ON NUMBER 1
Maybe cuz you need a Gb or something a Console and all you is i dunno know
***** Do you know what the fuck sarcasm is.
I like your name.
😏😏😏😏
*Steals Joeys Rattata*
*You Obtained The "Top Percentage" Pokemon!
I don't blame you. I restarted at Mt. Thunder because I could never get to/defeat Zapdos with Treecko.
Aw darn! Mt. Thunder? That was before Moltres too, huh. That must stink :/
just use attract (TM) when the keslon sell it, buy it and because gender never mattered in those games (pokemon red rescue team) The bosses never could attack.
VL (YBlvr) Hypernova 123 SMOKESCREEN SMOKSCREEN SLOKESCREEN SMOKESCRREN...... This is an absolute neccessity!
Mystery dungeon is probably my favorite. It's sooooo beautiful and the music is fantastic. The regular 3Ds ones are my absolute faves.
I like pokemon ranger it's fun!
*sees that Pokemon conquest is number 1*
*nuts pants*
YOUR AVATAR
YOUR COMMENT
hi susie
*_You mentioned PMD without saying anything about how sad the endings are!?!? What is WRONG with you!?!?_*
But, really, though, to anyone who hates happy endings, PMD is for you... (*SPOILERS*) or at least until after the credits...
Yeah
Or the anime specials?!?!? *tRiGgErEd*
My favorite is Pokepark 2. It's not perfect but there is a charm to it and it's so much fun to friend everyone, and it has a fun story. And so much content
Uh.. Am i the only one who loved the Poképark games?...
i do too, but most of the ones in this list i feel are better
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky (and Time and Darkness, as well), have probably the most 'complete' and extremely addictive story-line that just makes you fall in love with the playable and non-playable characters, especially Wigglytuff and Sunflora, and even Spinda and Wobbuffet (in Sky). I think it should have seen some 'screen time', at least. It was just wonderful and if it hadn't been a little repititive after completing the second story-line, it would probably be my absolute favourite Pokemon game of all times.
pokepark pikachus adventure and pokemon battle revolution
Dude I was almost in tears at the end of blue rescue team, the feels
Where's PokePark :(
yeah
PlusOne // Gaming, Animations, and More! ohh my childhood 😁
XD and Colosseum are kind of main games
Only "classic" pokemon games are considered main. If you don't start with talking to the professor and picking a starter pokemon, it isn't main!
Main:
Red Blue Green Yellow
Gold Silver Crystal
Ruby Sapphire Emerald FireRed LeafGreen
Diamond Pearl Platinum
Black White HeartGold SoulSilver
Black 2 White 2
X Y
Alpha Sapphire Omega Ruby
Everything else is a spinoff or fan game.
TheHackerReporter true, but these are side series. not spin offs. don't ask wat the difference is I just don't want to know.
Side series = stuff that is somewhat relevant to the main series (IE fighting Pokemon in a somewhat-classic way) (Mystery Dungeon, Stadium, Colosseum)
Spin-offs = something completely off topic (Trozei, Dash, Hey You Pikachu)
Fan games = ...fan made games (Pokemon Brown, Mystery Universe, Survival Island).
kay
i think pokepark wii was a pretty good game
I actually remember loving Hey You pikachu when I was a kid. The idea of voice recognition was pretty kick ass.
What about Poke Park?
I think the most underrated pokemon spin-off is...pokepark...does anyone here even know pokepark?
Umut Solakoglu Yeah PokePark was awesome. Never played the second one though; never had enough money to buy it and then my Wii disappeared.
Jenny Brown Technically speaking, pokepark was not that good and very easy but ı first played it as a child so its pure nostalgia for me. #CuteChildhoodNostalgia
Umut Solakoglu You first played it as a child? it came out in 2010.
well...im 13 now xD
Umut Solakoglu That is still a child.
You didn't show explorers of time or pokemon red rescue? Really?
Fun fact: The Pewter City background music at 3:40 is actually from the game Donkey Kong 5: The Journey of Over Time and Space on the GBC.
yeah conquest!!!!!!
OMG I LOVE PKMN RANGER..ALSO WHERE THE HECK IS POKEMON BATTLE REVOLUTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pokémon Battle Revolution was pretty but in gameplay it was very inferior compared to the other ''arena'' games.
I agree that revolution should be there
So lets see, Hey-You Pikachu was "one of the worst pokemon games", as well as number 1 spin off?
_whaaa?_
have you ever watch the video until the end
Someone did not bother to watch the whole video.
Just so I don't have to keep being reminded by people who don't read the replies already there (ironically) I realized it wasn't the number one game on the list.
Pokemon Pinball's
Music is really really
GOOD
My favorite music is the "Catch Time" because its a 8-bit demake from the first opening from the japanese pokemon anime
