Amy, I love watching you because you are real. You forget but you catch yourself. You love great tasting food. So happy that you have a Chris who appreciates you. He is a very smart guy. Gives hope that there are good guys out there. Keep doing this. You are such an inspiration
Amy , you are so cute and funny! I just love watching you cook! I think you need your own cooking show ! But until then , I’ll just keep watching on you tube in your little kitchen ! 🥰
I can feel the love you put into this dish. It looks amazing and I want to make your recipe. I appreciate you showing every step and ingredient. Thank you!
Amy Roloff mannerisms is exactly like mine. The way she talks, dresses, wears her hair, narrates, cooks. It's like watching my twin. I love how she always forgets something, calls things the wrong name then catches herself, searches for words. Everything I do!!!
Love butter chicken and yes it is an East Indian diet staple. Have always wanted to make it but thought it would be too complicated. Not any more. Thank you Amy!!!
Well I sure thank you and appreciate you bringing this to us,I was not expecting all these great, different, ingredients, and different steps to making this, why is it called butter chicken? So many great flavors and affordable and easy to make,I have never seen this recipe before, can't wait to try,I kept getting distracted by how great you look and how happy you are, your hair looks so healthy and fabulous, you are a different person since Chris came into your life, how blessed you are to be able to say,he's all mine,Matt gets an A+ too,he's a great human being and wonderful Dad,I'm so glad him and Chris get along.
Hi 👋 A Friendly Tip when Marinating Poultry,, Meats, Fish etc... Mix the Spices, Ginger and Garlic into the Yogurt first, then add the Chicken. It makes things easier to mix and evenly coat!😊
Mixing all wet ingredients the day before you marinate allows allows all the seasongings to bloom together. Then I add my protein and allow it to marinade all together. The flavors to richly bloom together! Pure heavenly tender delights!
I love your cooking show Amy. I like the dishes you make, some old some new, and some from other countries, like Butter Chicken. I’ve been wanting to try Indian cooking because they say it tastes so good! They use spices I’ve never used before but ones I can find in our grocery store. Thank you Amy. I’m so glad you love cooking; we also get the benefit of that.
Good recipe! One thing I noticed though, are you supposed to put the cooked chicken and the sauce back into the same bowl that had raw chicken in it? It look like it wasn’t washed. Just something I’m curious about in this video
@Kaitlyn Sullivan, You are absolutely 100% right! The others can look it up. It doesn't matter if it's being re-cooked. It now contaminated her entire dish by not completely washing that bowl with soap and water before adding the cooked chicken.
I love watching your little kitchen and I have tried some of your recipes which are great tonight I’m going to try to butter chicken and rice keep up The good work
Hello...Looked amazing,, was dying to try it through the TV screen lol I love your videos wish they were longer...I hope Chris appreciates your cooking lol.. love ya both
Amy, I’m 5’1” almost and I can never find someone around to reach something for me! Of course my husband picks that exact time to wander off! Love watching you!❤️👍
So great to watch you make an Indian curry Amy! Love your natural authentic style of cooking FYI Garam Masala is a mixture of whole spice roasted and then grounded down - the whole spices include cinnamon, peppercorns, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, Star anise, cardamon pods.
For those looking to make this vegetarian like Amy said- in India a lot of the population is vegetarian and they substitute some meat/chicken dishes with Paneer which is like a cottage cheese type ingredient. You should be able to get it from a normal supermarket or Indian store. You can use the same ingredients as the sauce as you would for the chicken - maybe a bit less garam masala. Another vegetarian option is cauliflower - you can also fry it before you add it to the sauce. Hope that helps for any vegetarians :)
If you’re taking requests, I’d love to see some recipe ideas for two people. I’m guessing that you’re cooking for yourself and Chris, so maybe something that you guys both like?
I think I was intimidated because doing the cooking, the video, photos and in between all by myself I was afraid my thoughts were in three different places and not just on the cooking .... I'm getting better at it. now. You'd think it would be easier for me after being in front of the camera for over 18 years. I'm glad it does feel new though. I'm having fun and I'm appreciative you all like watching it.
When you said butter chicken I sure wasn’t expecting this but it looks amazing! Btw, I’m not sure what I was expecting haha!!! Anyway thanks for an awesome one dish meal idea! I love your videos!!
I've watched you for years. You are glowing and look so happy. I am going to try this dish. Keep sharing more recipes. God bless you and your new husband....
Hi Amy, I make butter chicken with pork belly and its so so delicious. Potatoes and peas can be added as well especially if you need to stretch it a little. Love your cooking.
I make this dish all the time so much that I had to have a break from it because my cholesterol went up pretty freaking high but Amy I've been following you for a couple of decades you are an amazing woman and I love cooking beside you I will try the coconut milk instead of the cream next time. By the way do you use Botsmiti rice?
Amy I use to watch you guys in TLC. I was surprised to see u here and enjoyed watching you. I am an Indian sometimes make butter chicken & I really enjoyed your version!!
Watching you Amy is so entertaining! It is fun to see you maneuver around your prep and cook space. You've got all the utensils ready to make it easy for every step of the recipe. What I get amused by is when you "eyeball" ingredients and spices. You'll say a half teaspoon, which I anticipate to be a tiny amount, but you dump much more in the bowl. Same with the cup of greek yogurt. It looked to me like a whole bunch more! I laugh because it probably turns out better than if you measured precisely as the written directions say. Wish I could be so relaxed and comfortable with cooking like you are. All your videos make it seem like us viewers are best friends with you and sharing time together with you. So fun!!! I'm learning many new kitchen techniques by following you.
I love watching you cook and everything looks so good that you have cooked I also love ❤️ you and Chris also Zack and Tori and the kids love to see the whole family
I love watching you cooking and it doesn't matter how long your videos last I won't get bored I like listening to you and I laughed some times because you're very spontaneous. Love you Amy never change.
Just a little time-saving suggestion: try grating your ginger and/or garlic instead of chopping it. The texture will be finer and grating makes the task go faster.
I 💘 this.. I'm going to make this tomorrow night.. I watch you Chris's wedding over & over again.love all your recipes. Thanks for bringing from your kitchen to mine!!! M M M GOOD.
This looks so delicious Amy! I love watching you cook and doing life with Chris! He loves you sooo much! Lucky girl! I love being in the kitchen with you!!💕🤙🏻
Tika Masala is the national dish of Englund. I fell in love with it a couple years ago. I heat the spices in the oil with sliced onion and peppers, then add the chicken. Yum. Throw leftover sauce and rice in the freezer and use it as a side dish another day.
I love watching you cook Amy. You're so warm and welcoming. 😊 I just love you. Anyhoo...why do they call this this Butter Chicken? Is there butter in it? I'm in the middle of the video and do far...no butter. 😁 *Update: I see where butter is added. 😁
Some dishes feel intimidating when they’re a little unfamiliar- but this seems really approachable and delicious! Like you, I get much satisfaction in cooking for others- especially family. I love to get a genuinely positive reaction from my husband when I nail a dish- it clearly makes you happy to see Chris smile and enjoy the fruits of your labor 😉
Amy and Chris, I was happy to hear your planning a trip to Alaska. I was born and raised in this wonderful state. I’d love to meet you both. I love your cooking show. It is my hope that I may meet you.❤️

I also mix and marinate in a gallon size storage bag. Easy peasy and no mess.
