I actually disagree with this! Her and Chester don’t sound alike. But she does fit the direction they are going in with the new music. Chester’s voice on the old stuff just can’t be 100% reached unless it’s Chester. Now with that being said Emily is good and I fuck with her. The new music video is good and her vocals on it are awesome!! I still enjoy hearing the old linkin park but really excited to see more music and content from her. Also wish the whole band the best of luck 🤞

SHE DID AMAZING, people are very quick to compare her to Chester, but Linkin Park had stoped performing this song in 2015 and even when they did there where times when Chester didn't hold the screams for the full 17 seconds either. This song is fucking hard, and she had the balls to sang it LIVE on their FIRST concert for the tour, this woman is FIRE and you're fooling yourself if you think otherwise.

I'm in a cover band and we're covering this song. The guitarist who usually did Chester's screams quit the band and the new one can't sing, not to mention scream. Our lead vocalist has a beautiful voice but he can't scream either, so singing this song is on me now. I was a bit worried how I'll do, but after seeing this video, I feel a lot more confident. She butchered this song. Of course I can't do it as good as Chester but at least I can sing the whole 17 seconds.

There is no N.W.A without Eazy-E, No Jackson 5 without MJ, and certainly No Linkin Park without Chester. Yes, she's doing her best; very nice. However, it's glorified karaoke for my ears. Linkin Park is dead. Change the name so she can have a fair chance and a fresh start.
Man she may not have held that scream as long as Chester did but she did good. I’ve attempted it a few times and though I can hit it with enough air and control, it’s extremely difficult to hold that scream with consistency.

Old LP isn’t her forte. She’s honestly doing the best she can, but her vocal range is nowhere near what is needed to do the old music. Kudos to the lifelong fans of LP that will ride with this. I agree that they should move on as a band and continue to make the music they want to make, but performing the old songs without maintaining some of the original sound is a disservice to Chester’s legacy. Make new music with Emily’s range and unique talents. Leave Chester’s stuff alone unless you bring someone along that can perform it in the right range. Seek out Ivo if you have to. Also, This song should never be played by the band. This was Chester’s cry for help. I’ll give the new music a shot with an unbiased ear, but I will not listen to someone who can’t perform Chester’s parts to at least a decent degree. This isn’t a shot at her as a singer. The reason why he usually split it in two is not because he couldn't do the full scream live, but because he didn't want to fuck up his voice too much. Keep in mind that sometimes their performances lasted for up to 2 hours, and between 10 to 20 times a month.

I'm in a cover band and we're covering this song. The guitarist who usually did Chester's screams quit the band and the new one can't sing, not to mention scream. Our lead vocalist has a beautiful voice but he can't scream either, so singing this song is on me now. I was a bit worried how I'll do, but after seeing this video, I feel a lot more confident. She butchered this song. Of course I can't do it as good as Chester but at least I can sing the whole 17 seconds.

Man she may not have held that scream as long as Chester did but she did good. I’ve attempted it a few times and though I can hit it with enough air and control, it’s extremely difficult to hold that scream with consistency.
I was expecting her to continue tbh, but her choice repeating the word mid-scream was hers, we gotta respect that. She's not tryna resurrect Chester, just like Drowning Pool's singers through the ages didn't try to resurrect Dave, and many other examples. Chi Cheng, Paul Gray, Wayne Static... All of these people died but their bands continue, not even really without them when you come to think of it : all that was written and composed by those who died is still played to this day...

Old LP isn’t her forte. She’s honestly doing the best she can, but her vocal range is nowhere near what is needed to do the old music. Kudos to the lifelong fans of LP that will ride with this.
I agree that they should move on as a band and continue to make the music they want to make, but performing the old songs without maintaining some of the original sound is a disservice to Chester’s legacy.
Make new music with Emily’s range and unique talents. Leave Chester’s stuff alone unless you bring someone along that can perform it in the right range. Seek out Ivo if you have to.
Also, This song should never be played by the band. This was Chester’s cry for help.
I’ll give the new music a shot with an unbiased ear, but I will not listen to someone who can’t perform Chester’s parts to at least a decent degree. This isn’t a shot at her as a singer. This just isn’t in her vocal range. She’s trying too hard.

The reason why he usually split it in two is not because he couldn't do the full scream live, but because he didn't want to fuck up his voice too much. Keep in mind that sometimes their performances lasted for up to 2 hours, and between 10 to 20 times a month.
