truly a brilliant actor, i saw him first in watchmen and he delivered such an excellent performance i began to look up his other work.

I know it's symbolic of our mortality and foreshadowing for the inevitable onset of her death, but still, how could anyone hear themsevles think with all that ticking going on?!
I haven't seen him in years and then to see him kinda re-emerge and do such a wonderful job in EVERYTHING...is so rewarding...I love seeing actors who Hollywood kinda forgets re-emerge and blow everyones socks off...saw the trailer for Shutter Island and it looks great!
i think this is the most disturbing charcter you will see in a movie ...especially sense its so realistic and there are ppl like him right under your nose

Such an incredible performance that whenever I see Jackie Earle Haley in anything else I think of this character and get creeped out all over again. Such a talented actor.

I remember catching wind of this guy in this movie and still today, it was his most haunting and nuanced performance. Honestly the best of his. His role was wasted in the Nightmare On Elm Street remake, as he encapsulated Freddy perfectly and that should have done SO fucking much better. God dam bad writing -_-
What about him walking out of that house from what his mother provided into a nightmare? It was incredibly poetic.
I think This scene is the best scene of this movie, Remain me how my mom loves me no matter how crazy I am, no matter how many mistake I had ever made,she never give up on me, God bless her 💕💗
That's what you got out of this? The mom is in denial of her son wanting to have sex with children. It's quite different
@@Titiano26 Tita, most agree the irony in the film is these two are the only two that are pure. He doesn't want his sick disease & has never touched a child. Let's not give away the film but what he does to himself isn't enough to prove to u he is pure? I'm glad you are not a judge in a courtroom.

I don't know how Jackie Earle Haley does it but he has a way of creeping me out in this scene but also making me feel pity for him and that's hard to do

You know, normally you wouldn't feel sorry for a man like that, but in this movie, I can't help but feel sorry for Ronnie.
I love how much JEH gets into character and becomes somebody completely different every time he's in a movie.

I have only just RE-discovered Jackie Earle Haley. I first saw him in Breaking Away and had not seen him since that time. I saw the movie Little Children last night and wondered if Ronnie was played by the same actor who played Moocher. It's been 30 years! Jackie is a fantastic actor and his performance in Little Children was absolutely compellling. I had NO idea that he also played the role of Freddie Kruger as I never watch horror films (not my cup of tea). Wow..fun discovery!

Every time I watch this movie, his 'I'm not a nice person' line kills me. You can tell that Ronnie is, deep down, a nice person; as proof of this, his date - up until the end *facepalm* - goes really well! He just needs help.

What a powerful scene, complicated themes, simple message. It makes you relate to a struggling pedophile through his relationship with and love for his mother.

The only person who can really play Freddy is Robert E. I will say though that Jackie is a great actor. I think he will still do a good job.

Honestly, When I first saw this film, I loved it even though it does leave you thinking and puts you in a dark state, I Still liked it. But for some reason, Jackie Earle Haley still leaves me feeling yucky any time I see him In any other film of his after seeing Little Children
